Rihanna In Prada – ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ Paris Premiere

After her London premiere look gave us 19th-century vibes, Rihanna brought things right up to date for the Paris premiere of ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ on Tuesday (July 25).

Looking at her in this fringed and feather festooned Prada Fall 2017 two-piece, my immediately feeling was she’s back – and I love it.

Some might say this is a little over the top; or that her look is a tad ridiculous, but I love that she’s finally given us quintessential Rihanna; furry Charlotte Olympia sandals and all.

I would’ve lost my mind if she’s presented another tent dress.

Rihanna In Nili Lotan – Chiltern Firehouse

Following the ‘Valerian’ London premiere, Rihanna was spotted arriving at Chiltern Firehouse on Monday (July 24) in London.

On this occasion she wore a Nili Lotan pewter cami dress which allowed the twins to breathe a little after her Giambattista Valli Couture gown saw her maximise her cleavage à la Jayne Mansfield.

Her sultry slip dress was styled with a matching silver duster, silver Sergio Rossi ‘SR1’ sandals, Amrapali and Anabela Chan jewels plus a fringed metal Prada purse.

I’m all for the ‘go big or go home gowns’, but I would’ve been happy had she worn this to the premiere, as I can’t take another tent-like design after her Cannes, Chopard party and London premiere offerings.

I’m longing for her to get back to her winning ways.

Rihanna In Giambattista Valli Couture – ‘Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets’ London Premiere

Rihanna stepped onto the blue carpet for the premiere of ‘Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets’ in London this evening (July 24), wearing her second Giambattisa Valli Couture gown in a row, going from millennial pink princess to busty babe.

I have no problem with a cleavage-heavy look, but her cup runneth over here.

While this look has all the drama I want from a summer blockbuster premiere, I’m not crazy about the look itself.

Mostly because I don’t associate this tent-like creation with her style, much like her Cannes Film Festival run.

Her last look saw her back to winning ways, but this is a step backwards for me as I’m just not feeling it at all.

Chopard jewels and a rose accented Jimmy Choo ‘Memento Cloud’ clutch rounded out her look.

Rihanna In Giambattista Valli Couture – ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA Premiere

Rihanna was on a completely different planet from Cara Delevingne at the ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ LA premiere on Monday (July 17)—if her look was any indication, that is.

Her style universe was one of bubblegum pink, cotton candy clouds, and frou, as she floated out this Giambattista Valli Couture custom high-low gown paired with custom Manolo Blahnik lace-up sandals for that distinct RiRi touch.

I always love it when Rihanna keeps us on our toes with unexpected turns such as this softer confection that oozed with girly, Victorian romance, dramatic tulle and chiffon layers, and whimsical pouf.

A matching Judith Leiber clutch and a light sprinkling of Chopard jewels completed the fantasy look with the appropriate amount of subtle restraint.

I’m sure some may be reminded of another sugar-sweet Giambattista Valli design she wore a couple of years ago.

Rihanna heads to dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Fenty x Puma

Rihanna made her way to dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California while taking her Fenty x Puma collection out for a spin.

When worn as a dress, this Fenty x Puma jacket had no shortage of rebellious femininity that was further edged up by her Fenty x Puma lace-up heels.

I imagine this is what the offspring of a baby-doll frock and a raincoat would look like.

As if the look didn’t have attitude enough, the jacket’s popped collar armed it with even more playful sportiness.

I can’t say I really understood the darker crimson Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2017 bag with the ballet-pink and nude colourways here, though.
