Regina Hall In Tadashi Shoji – ‘Girls Trip’ LA Premiere

Regina Hall has showcased great style during her promo tour for ‘Girls Trip’, and that continued for the LA premiere on Thursday (July 13).

I’m sure many will be surprised to discover this is Tadashi Shoji.

Mostly because the designer rarely, if ever, flirts on the side of risqué, which this ocean blue voluminous crepe gown with a mandala embroidered bodice from the Spring 2017 collection more than suggests.

I saw the bold colour first, followed by how radiant Regina is here.

Yes, on the wrong person this may have come across less than favourable; luckily, Regina was the right person.

Regina King In Genny – 2017 NAACP Image Awards

Regina King is the one person I always look out for at the NAACP Image Awards, and she didn’t let me down at yesterdays (February 11) event in LA.

The impact of this Genny gold gown is instant from due to the shimmering fabric and thigh-high slit, but I’m also left admiring the styling.

The ‘Leftovers’ actress was definitely one of the most glamorous women to take to this red carpet.

Do you agree?

Disney ABC Television Group’s 2015 Summer TCA Press Tour Photocall

Disney ABC Television Group's 2015 Summer TCA Press Tour Photocall

A host of actresses joined Priyanka Chopra and Kerry Washington on the red carpet for the Disney ABC Television Group’s 2015 TCA Summer Press Tour on Tuesday (August 4) in Beverly Hills, California.

Bellamy Young: I see where Bellamy was going here, but sadly I just don’t buy it. While I have no problem with the Valentino animal print dress, the Tamara Mellon studded booties don’t work for her and the Edie Parker mint clutch is terribly out of place. To add more oil onto the fire, I don’t like her bangs either. The whole hairstyle screams mullet.

Regina King: There’s no way you could’ve missed Regina in her hot-pink Tamara Mellon one-shoulder jumpsuit. While I think the look would’ve fared better without the layered detail, she’s rocking the hell out of this piece. Tri-colour Christian Louboutin ‘Otrot’ fringed colour-block suede sandals added yet more pizazz to this look.

Elizabeth Henstridge: Another actress who was sure to be seen was Elizabeth Henstridge. The brunette beauty opted for a colour-block House of Holland ‘Emily’ dress rendered in a 70s flower power vibe. Keeping the focus on the dress, nude sandals rounded out her look.

BET’s ‘Black Girls Rock! Red Carpet Roundup

BET's 'Black Girls Rock!' Red Carpet roundup

More stars took to the red carpet at BET’s ‘Black Girls Rock!’ special at NJ Performing Arts Center on Saturday (March 28) in Newark, New Jersey, donning a variety of looks to round out the evening.

Tracee Ellis Ross: The ‘Black-ish’ star wore a white-ish Bibhu Mohapatra Spring 2015 asymmetric gown that had its very own split personality. The flowing Grecian lines on the one side were juxtaposed by a thigh-high slit and colourful spirograph print on the other. The daring purple lipstick was fully aligned with the patterned side of the dress.

Kat Graham: Pairing a black Barbara Bui top with a leggy Anthony Vaccarello skirt with a side train, Kat oozed sexy edginess. But I almost preferred the Cushnie et Ochs grommet dress she wore while announcing Cheryl Lynn’s performance.

Danielle Brooks: The ‘Orange is the New Black’ star also went for an all-black look, donning a plunge jumpsuit that could have used a hit of colour to take it to the next level. As presented, it was too one-note.

2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Red Carpet Roundup

Vanity Fair Party

Here is an quick roundup from the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which took place on Sunday (February 22).

Jane Fonda: The actress shows us that Zuhair Murad doesn’t always spell tacky. This Spring 2015 Couture jumpsuit is divine and she is working it like no other. Kudos to her. Jimmy Choo ‘Creole’ pumps and a Rauwolf clutch accessorized her look.

Regina King: This Nicolas Jebran gown won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I love the artful colours on this design. I don’t, however, like the illusion neckline. Not close enough to her skin tone.

Leslie Mann: Like Naomi Watts, Leslie went the white suiting route, layering up with a selection of gold Neil Lane jewels the look probably didn’t really require so much of.
