This is an incredibly long post, so please click ‘read more…’ below to see the rest of the looks from this amazingly well dressed event.

I was starting to lose hope that I would ever see this amazing Marchesa Fall 2009 dress on the red carpet.

Olivia Wilde has fulfilled my wish by looking drop-dead gorgeous wearing the strapless nude suede dress.

I love those embroidered floral details, the complementary taupe clutch and her nude Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps.

I don’t know much about Amber Heard, but I’m really impressed with her on the red carpet and shocked that she always manages to wear such big name designers.

Last night she looked sensational wearing this red Christian Dior Spring 2010 belted gown with a chiffon bodice and a satin skirt.

Since Charlize Theron has been M.I.A. on the red carpet in a while, I guess John Galliano might have been looking for an interim muse.

It’s not often we see 3 great Dior Spring 2010 looks in the space of 2 days.

Miss Dior herself – Marion Cotillard wore Dior to the Critic’s Choice Awards on Friday, then Chloe Sevigny wore Dior to the NY Times Style Magazine’s Pre-Golden Globe Awards Party on Saturday.

It’s always a pleasure to see Camilla Belle on the red carpet.

The actress wore a grey Valentino Spring 2010 dress with a satin bow detail on the hip.

I love the way the cape and skirt fan out.  It would’ve been amazing to watch this dress in motion.

I’m not sure about those stunning heels with the dress, but the heels are divine on their own.

On Friday I was worried that after Apphia Michael wore Viktor & Rolf to the Wallpaper Design Awards, that we would only get to see these pieces from this Spring 2010 collection inside magazines.

Anna Paquin delights us by wearing a strapless pink tulle dress with exaggerated hips.

She also blows my theory that only one of each look was ever made for this collection, as hers is pink to the runway’s grey and blue.

An Alexander McQueen knuckle duster clutch, Boucheron diamond studs, a Tom Binns necklace and black gladiator heels complete her look. Read more…

Last year we saw Demi Moore wearing this Chanel Spring 2010 cute mini tulle dress on the set of her Harper’s Bazaar shoot, but it’s Rachel Bilson who’s brought it to the red carpet.

The actress looks cute enough wearing this baby-doll dress, but both the hair and make-up look the exact the same as the daily candids of her collecting her dry cleaning and shopping around Hollywood.

Shout if you think this is a BDOTW contender, because I think there’s been far better candidates.

Olivia Wilde wore an Alberta Ferretti Spring 2010 dress which had been lengthen from the runway.

I think – know – she should could have pulled of the shorter version with her gorgeous legs, so part of me feels tad disappointed.

I love the dress itself with the contrasting colours and textures.

It’s very event appropriate.

Her look was completed wearing a pair of Jimmy Choo Nova sandals from the 24/7 collection and a matching snake-skin clutch.

Ashley Greene – I believe – is the first celeb to wear a Pre-Fall 2010 look on the red carpet, which only prove how much being taken seriously in the fashion world.

The Twilight star wore a pale lemon J.Mendel Pre-Fall 2010 dress with a sheer yoke, pleated bodice and a draped detail cascading from the waist.

I love the dress and the colour is divine on her, but I really dislike the matchy matchy colour of the clutch and earrings.

Champagne peep-toes complete the look.

I adore Jenna Dewan’s Paule Ka Spring 2009 sweetheart strapless dress with blush brush stroke details.

I love the volume on the runway picture, which also shows us that the dress has a solid black back panel.

The matchy matchy nature of her heels works better for me than it did on Ashley.

Lisa Edelstein pops up every now and then on the red carpet, and every now and then I say wow.

This is one of those wow moments.

Her Emilio Pucci Resort 2010 dress is exquisite.

The embellished details around the empire-waist stop it from looking very “St Tropez”.

Had BDOTW not been so packed should would’ve been in contention.  I might try to squeeze her in.

Lake Bell flashes a rare smile at this event. Maybe she was promised some diamonds *winks*

The gorgeous actress who still looks stunning with minimal make-up arrived wearing a black and white strapless Lyn Devon Fall 2009 belted dress.

Black patent pumps and a white clutch completed the look.

As cute as Dianna Agron looks in her peachy dress. It’s a bit to Disney for my taste.

Her gold criss cross heels are from Bally.

Rachel Bilson has an accessory-obsession.

In July it was the green Chanel Wayfarers.

In August it was the hunter green shoulder bag.

Recently Rachel has been unable to leave home without her newest obsession – her 3.1 Phillip Lim ‘Edie’ bow studded bag.

We’ve seen Rachel strutting about town getting a good wear out of her new love.

The ex O.C-star carries her ‘Edie’ everywhere; to grab a coffee, shop at Staples in LA, stop off at her local Gelson’s and it’s still by her side on her way to an audition.

Also loving the Edie is Diane Kruger, Nicky Hilton and Leighton Meester, notice Leighton’s brightened red and navy version.

A warm alternative and perfect Christmas-present colour! Get hinting ladies….

We’ve only found this bag online at Colette and we’re just as in love with it as Rachel.

“Precious” New York Premiere

I wish Paula Patton has opted for the metallic version of this Altuzarra Fall 2009 dress. It has more of a wow factor.

Her winklepickers were also a very bad choice.

Never again will I defend Mariah Carey in the ‘boobie’ debate.

Mariah has had some bad looks, but this has to be the WORST.

She look so incredibly tacky and has obviously been inspired by Amanda Bynes because she only wears LBDs lately.

The only thing that deserves a mention are her Jimmy Choo Billie Lizard-Print sandals

2009 Clinton Global Initiative Dinner, New York

Looking like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth Naomi Campbell look so sweet wearing a Issa Spring 2010 asymmetrical black and white print dress.

Naomi walked for the Issa Spring 2010 show, so she was obviously very taken with this adorable dress.

2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors, New York

Eve walked this red carpet sporting the very same hairstyle as Rihanna.

She wore fingerless black leather gloves to go with her Helmut Lang Resort 2010 black leather and bondage jersey dress.

I love everything about the look excluding the heels.

Why wear such an interesting sexy dress, if you’re going to pair it with office heels?

“Good Hair” LA Premiere

For this event Eve wore a chocolate brown Charlotte Ronson Deco beading pleated dress.

I love the neckline, her pink lips and the fact that she didn’t wear the runway belt.

The dress is better off without it.

Nia Long sparkled wearing a silver batwing plunging blouse paired with champagne mini shorts.

Her make up flawless and show is her cute bob.

Montblanc Paris Flagship Boutique Launch

Eva Green gives me that old Hollywood glamour that I never tire of.

She wore an aqua Alberta Ferretti gown with draped detailing to accentuate the waist.

Such an elegant look from one we expect to always look so dramatic and gothic.

I love her tousled updo.

Brian Reyes Appearance At Neiman Marcus, LA

Rachel Bilson supported her long time friend Brian Reyes when he made an appearance at Neiman Marcus.

She kept her look very casual wearing in denim cut-offs, a black blazer, and white tank.

Her accessories were more colourful as she carried a scarlet red Jimmy Choo Blythe Tote, and the same leather boots we have seen on Sienna Miller.

“Couples Retreat” Australian Premiere

This is quite an interesting look for Kristen Bell.

We’re so used to seeing her in unstructured laid back looks, but this time she opted for a sleek Preen Peplette technical crepe dress paired with Jimmy Choo heels.

Salvatore Ferragamo

I was very surprised to see Rachel Bilson in the front row at Salvatore Ferragamo.

Rachel’s has a dress-down sense of style that just doesn’t fit the Ferragamo brand, so this connection doesn’t quite work for me, neither does the navy Fall 2009 dress which she paired with lace fingerless gloves and ankle boots.

Dolce & Gabbana

Peaches Geldof is still going strong during Fashion Week appearing in front rows at New York, London and now Milan.

The…well I’m not quite sure what she does…wore a graphic print long sleeved dress from the designers Fall 2009 collection, with both the tight and runway shoes.

I’m surprised she opted out of wearing those puffy shoulders.

Daisy Lowe didn’t think the red furry jacket would garner her enough attention, so she opted to arrived in red leopard print pants too.

10 out of 10 for bravery. 1 out of 10 for subtlety.

Great legs though.

Margareth Made brought back the sophistication to the front row at this show looking stunning wearing a lace dress from the Fall 2009 collection which was fully lined, unlike the sexier runway version.

Giorgio Armani

Zhang Ziyi opted for a cute Armani short suit look, with a black baker hat.

I loved her ombre sequined jacket with a ruffled collar.

Janet Jackson went for a more casual look including an argyle cardigan, a white shirt and wide stripped pants.

More office wear than front row, but she looks good as does her Zagliani python envelope bag.

Gucci

Mary J Blige sparkled wearing a bejeweled Gucci top, paired with Gucci thigh-high boots.

Brian Reyes’ Spring 2010 collection will bring out the girlie girl in you.

Ultra feminine looks were presented which were light and airy, with chiffon ruffled blouses, aqua prints, and shorts.

I loved the light-weight denim pieces, especially the tulip skirt with slightly frayed edges.

The details were subtle with no over the top shoulders which we are now tired of. Just cute ruffles, fitted dress, t-shirt dresses and floaty blouses.

After the show I asked Brian what his inspiration was for this collection.

He said “Theory of evolution, muscle form skeleton form, passion, love, the heart, anything that has to do with emotion and everything that has to do with us”.

Brian said that he doesn’t have a muse as she has many different women in his life who he is inspired by.

He continued to say that he likes pure and simple things, which he tries to design in an architectural way.

“Prints are a very big thing for me and embroidery I love“.

My new BFF Becki Newton worked her Brian Reyes Fall 2009 print silk dress which features tiered ruffles on the skirt and a slash to the back.

Jimmy Choo Karina studded shoe-boots completed her look.

Becki is such a sweet-heart. I spoke to her briefly backstage, but I will bring that to you later.

Rachel Bilson – who is a good friend of Brian Reyes -opted for a golden dress from the Resort 2010.

September 4th, 2009

Last week a pregnant Rebecca Romijn was the guest judge on Lifetime’s “Project Runway”, as the designers had to create stylish maternity wear. The week before in the premiere show, Lindsay Lohan judged red carpet gowns.

On last nights show Rachel Bilson was the guest judge.

The actress looked super cute wearing a white ruffled blouse, a black skirt and snazzy, patterned Chanel Fall 2008 tights.

You may remember in this collection the tights were uniquely half patterned/half opaque.

I’m impressed that Rachel has kept a pair of tights that long, most of us only wear them once before they ladder.
