Best Dressed Of The Week - Queen Máxima of The Netherlands In Jan Taminiau Couture, Kiernan Shipka In Mary Katrantzou & Robert Pattinson In Alexander McQueen

Whether she upstaged the bride or dressed as she should, like a Queen, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands in Jan Taminiau Couture was your best dressed this week.

I, as always, was swept away by Kiernan Shipka in her colourful Mary Katrantzou frock, which was paired with some complementary accessories.

Rob Pattinson dressed in blue Alexander McQueen took your fancy this week, and I would have to agree as I am partial to a non-black, slim-fit suit.

Juan Zorreguieta And Andrea Wolf Get Married in Vienna

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands attended Juan Zorreguieta and Andrea Wolf’s wedding held at Palais Liechtenstein on Friday (June 7) in Vienna, Austria.

The Dutch Queen, quite frankly, upstaged the bride, looking stunning wearing a breathtaking pink sweetheart-neckline Jan Taminiau Couture gown and elaborate matching cape.

Styling the look with a bag in the same hue, a silver waistband and dazzling diamonds fit for a Queen, I can imagine that all eyes were on Maxima. I know mine would’ve been.

This is a breathtaking BDOTY-worthy piece.

You may remember that Jan Taminiau created the gown she wore to the inauguration Of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands in Jan Taminiau was a clear favourite this week, taking 25% of the votes to be crowned (no pun intended) BDOTW.

Of all the looks she wore during the inauguration, this was the one which stood out for me, for the colour, style and that regal cape.

When it came to the fellas, we also agreed that Chris Pine was the best dressed, in his three-piece Ralph Lauren Purple Label suit.

He continues to prove that, when it comes to donning a suit, he is currently head and shoulders above the rest; this is his fourth win since the promo tour for ‘Star Trek Into the Darkness’ started.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands In Jan Taminiau – Inauguration Of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands Water Pageant

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima boarded the king’s boat for the water pageant to celebrate the inauguration of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands after the abdication of his mother Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands in Amsterdam, Netherlands on Monday.

This event capped a day of high fashion we don’t usually see unless it’s the Oscars, Cannes or the Met Gala.

Máxima was the epitome of elegance once again, wearing yet another custom made piece by Dutch-born designer, Jan Taminiau.

She opted to add a camel cape and burgundy shawl to her burgundy-and-nude lace gown due to the backless and off-the-shoulder nature of the dress, plus counter the cold breeze from being on the boat.

Opting to go sans tiara, she did style her look with a selection of subtle dazzling jewels.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands In Jan Taminiau - Inauguration Of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands

As with any royal occasion, the festivities are not just limited to one occasion.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands was at Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam this afternoon for the royal inauguration of her husband, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.

Donning my favourite colour, electric-blue, the newly crowned Queen was hypnotic, wearing a custom royal-blue Jan Taminiau gown.

Her floor-sweeping gown with delicate lace-embellished panels on the bodice and skirt was styled with a matching floor-sweeping cape à la Gwyneth Paltrow’s 2012 Tom Ford Oscar gown.

Opting to keep her hair styled in the same chic chignon from the morning’s festivities, she added a stunning diamond-and-sapphire-encrusted tiara, matching drop earrings and a brooch to her look, all of which once belonged to Queen Emma of the Netherlands.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands In Natan - Royal Investiture

Earlier today at 10:07, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands abdicated, making her son Willem-Alexander King of the Netherlands and his wife Máxima Queen of the Netherlands.

Following her bold red gown from the night before, Máxima looked stunning once again wearing a custom Natan ensemble (you may remember that she wore the Brussels designer to the Luxembourg royal wedding last year).

Her blush-coloured knee-length dress featured puffy sleeves, an exaggerated bow detail on the shoulder and a semi-sheer skirt with silver cascading sequins.

A chic chignon, flawless makeup and diamond jewels completed the look.
