Princess Leonore of Sweden’s Christening

Princess Leonore's Royal Christening in Sweden

Royals attended the christening of Princess Leonore of Sweden held at the Royal Chapel at Drottningholm Palace on Sunday (June 8) in Stockholm, Sweden.

Princess Madeleine of Sweden: Wearing a typical feminine, elegant, and oh so ladylike Valentino lace dress detailed with a delicate scalloped hem in a pretty pink hue, she added a matching veil and tonal heels.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden: Also opting for pink, Victoria was the picture of feminine elegance wearing a Dolce & Gabbana pale-rose jacquard dress nipped in at the waist with a crystal-embellished belt. Wearing the same tonal heels, she added a matching Bottega Veneta clutch and a Philip Treacy turban-like headpiece. You may remember that Camila Alves wore this same dress earlier this year.

Princess Madeleine of Sweden Weds Christopher O’Neill In Valentino Garavani

The Wedding Of Princess Madeleine & Christopher O'Neill

Princess Madeleine of Sweden wed Christopher O’Neill in a ceremony held in her native Stockholm, Sweden earlier today.

Christopher O’Neill did his best to hold back tears at the vision of his lovely bride-to-be, who looked simply breathtaking as she glided down the aisle wearing a Valentino Garavani gown.

She was the picture of a perfect princess in her stunning silk organza gown with appliquéd ivory-hued Chantilly lace. See more details of the dress here.

Madeleine’s accessories included ivory white organdie shoes with woven point d’esprit dots and a privately owned tiara decorated with sprigs of orange blossom.

The bridal bouquet consisted of classic white garden roses: Austin roses, Schneewittchen, Winchester Cathedral and Alabaster, as well as lilies of the valley and the traditional myrtle from Sofiero.

HRH Princess Madeleine copy

Mr. Valentino created the wedding dress which was worn by Princess Madeleine of Sweden for her wedding to Mr. Christopher O’Neill today in Stockholm.

While we await the pictures of the dress, you can set your goosebumps tingling with the sketch of the dress above.

The dress is created in silk organdies with applications of ivory Chantilly lace. The waist is emphasized by small vertical pleats that open and spread out on the full skirt with a 4-meter long train. The veil, at 6-meters long, is silk organdies edged with tulle “point d’exprit” with an application of Chantilly lace flowers. The royal tiara is decorated with fresh orange blossoms.

“Working with Princess Madeleine has just been so easy,” said Mr. Valentino. “She is very lovely girl. She is modern, fun, full of energy and enthusiasm, and she is so beautiful! It has been a pleasure and an honor.”

Mr. Valentino, a master couturier, officially retired from fashion in 2008, though most recently, in 2012 he created the wedding dress for Anne Hathaway. Throughout his career he has created wedding dresses for aristocrats and royals, most notably including Jacqueline Onasiss, Queen Maxima of Holland and Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece’s gown.

Princess Madeleine of Sweden In Elie Saab – Pre-Wedding Dinner

Princess Madeleine of Sweden In Elie Saab - Pre-Wedding Dinner

Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O’Neill attended a private dinner on the eve of their wedding, hosted by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia at The Grand Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden yesterday evening.

The bride-to-be sparkled in a silver Elie Saab Resort 2013 beige gown with tonal embellishment, which she styled with complementary sandals.

I’m sure she will don very lavish jewels for her wedding later today, however on this occasion she just opted for silver drop earrings.

Wearing her hair down, she opted for cascading curls.

Monaco Royal Wedding Guests

Naomi Campbell wore a one shoulder Alexander McQueen ombre floral embroidered dress to the Royal Wedding of Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene of Monaco at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.

She accessorized with an matching fringed shawl, an Alexander McQueen skull clutch and a peach coloured fascinator.

I was starting to tire of seeing fascinators as we’ve had an overload of them since the British royal wedding, but I love how this one complements the floral embroidered and the bottom half of her McQueen gown.
