‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’ Exhibition Red Carpet Roundup

Mcqueen

Here is a roundup of the rest of the attendees at the private view for the ‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’ exhibition held at the Victoria & Albert Museum on Thursday (March 12) in London, England.

Naomi Campbell: The model wore an Alexander McQueen Spring 2007 black trapped petal tulle dress with ostrich feathers, which was very chic, but the fur Fendi ‘Pequin’ bolero was a tad overkill.

Laura Carmichael: The ‘Downton Abbey’ star didn’t get the memo, opting for a Christopher Kane black V-neck slip top and black skirt with patent detailing from the Pre-Fall 2015 collection styled with Shaun Leane jewels. Considering Laura’s play-it-safe style, this was perhaps the right look for her.

Erin O’Connor: When referencing statuesque beauties, Erin is always my go-to woman, and here’s why. She looked striking and powerful wearing a tailored-to-perfection white Alexander McQueen Resort 2013 tuxedo-inspired gown. This is the very epitome of elegance.

Chanel Fall 2015 Front Row

Chanel Fall 2015 Front Row

Chanel’s front row wasn’t as jam-packed as usual, with notable stars including Li Yuchun (aka Chris Lee), Florence Welch and Poppy Delevingne taking their seats for the French brand’s Fall 2015 show on Tuesday (March 10).

Li Yuchun: The Asian star took a typically mannish approach wearing a head-to-toe Spring 2015 look incorporating stripes. The only things I covet here are the two-tone brogues. I could’ve got on board with the blazer sans white overlay.

Florence Welch: Also shunning Chanel’s more ladylike offerings was Florence Welch, whose pink suede jacket and trousers from the Spring 2015 collection of course had a distant boho tone, especially when styled with that wide-brimmed hat.

Poppy Delevingne: The socialite showcased her best asset – her legs – wearing a Chanel Resort 2015 gold tweed tunic to which she added black lace shorts. This enabled her to perfectly style her look with black accessories, which included a Chanel Plexiglas clutch.

Models @ The 2015 Oscar Parties

Models @ The 2015 Oscars Parties

As always, there were plenty of models on hand to provide the glamour at the Oscar parties on Sunday (February 22).

Alessandra Ambrosio: I was surprised the model didn’t jump on the sheer train; instead she selected a glamorous red gown from the Atelier Versace Spring 2015 collection. This brand of sexiest from Alessandra I can totally get on board with.

Poppy Delevingne: The British model wears a lot of Pucci frocks, having a close relationship with the designer Peter Dundas, so I was surprised no one informed her that Natasha Poly had already worn this frock. Poppy made a great impact styling the look with a choker and deep plum lip.

Michael Kors Miranda Eyewear Collection Event

Michael Kors Miranda Eyewear Collection Event

FROWers at the Michael Kors Fall 2015 show also attended the Michael Kors Miranda Eyewear Collection launch party held at the newly opened Michael Kors Soho flagship store in New York City on Wednesday (February 18).

In an interesting turn of events, those who opted for colour at the show went black and white on this occasion, and vice versa.

Kate Hudson: The actress went from colour to all black, presenting yet another sultry appearance on the red carpet wearing a racerback jumpsuit from the Pre-Fall 2015 collection.

Allison Williams: Going from sporty to ladylike with an edge, the ‘Girls’ star wore a strapless dress with a leather bodice. Had this been all leather or all print, I may have been able to get on board with this look. The skirt and top are at odds for me.

Michael Kors Fall 2015 Front Row

Michael Kors presented his Fall 2015 collection during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday (February 18) at Spring Studios in New York City, where a selection of lovely ladies were perched in his Spring 2015 collection in the front row.

Kate Hudson: It appears that Kate has finally found a look to match her sunny personality. The off-the-shoulder knit top gives the look a hint of sultriness while the floral-print skirt brings the look back to prim. I love the Charlotte York uptown Park Avenue princess feel that’s oozing from this ‘ladies who lunch’ look.

Allison Williams: Working a different look that showcases a slice of skin, I love how Allison’s Michael Kors Spring 2015 daffodil- and peony-embroidered two-piece look salutes modern sophistication with casual grace.

Emilio Pucci Eyewear Dinner Party

Emilio Pucci Eyewear Dinner Party

Celebrities attended the Emilio Pucci eyewear launch cocktail and dinner held at the Italian embassy on Monday (January 26) in Paris, France.

Poppy Delevingne: The socialite wore a white Emilio Pucci floral embroidered suit styled with a white knit top and Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals. As with any Pucci look, this is bold and colourful, oozing strength and sex appeal. While the glossy waves do add to the fresh feeling of this look, a part of me wishes she had worn her hair back.

Izabel Goulart: I’m very impressed with Izabel here. She wore a chic black and ivory look which showcases a rare demure side to her red carpet style. With this being a Pucci event, she could’ve gone down the predictable route.

Natasha Poly: The blonde wore a mini frock which screams Pucci from its minuscule length, embellishments, multi-colours and oozing sex appeal. Her look was styled with a Paula Cademartori ‘Cocca’ clutch and Stuart Weitzman gold sandals.

I adore all three looks which showcase that the Pucci woman is far from one dimensional.
