2015 British Fashion Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 British Fashion Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2015 British Fashion Awards which took place on Monday (November 23) in London, England.

Olga Kurylenko: Giving Gaga a run for her money when it comes to being best dressed at this event, the beautiful actress wore a Dolce & Gabbana frock which showcased her gorgeous figure. Granted this silhouette is nothing new from the Italy design duo, but you can’t argue how effective it continues to be. The look was styled with Star Diamond earrings plus a gold Charlotte Olympia clutch.

Alexa Chung: The British star wore an Erdem Spring 2016 dress which instantly made me think of that scene from the ‘Sound of Music’ when Maria makes outfits for the Von Trapp family using the drapes.

Mollie King: Where do I start? The ill-fitting dress, the awful hair or the makeup/deodorant stains on her dress?

Poppy Delevingne & Clémence Poésy In Gucci – Violet Magazine Dinner

Poppy Delevingne & Clémence Poésy In Gucci - Violet Magazine Dinner

Leith Clark, Editor-in-Chief of Violet Magazine, hosted a dinner party at the Chiltern Firehouse in London, England to celebrate the latest issue of her biannual style bible ‘Violet’ on Monday (September 7).

Poppy Delevingne: While her Gucci look hails from the Fall 2015 collection, I love the easy-breezy summery feel. Aside from the pleated bloom print skirt, the crowning glory comes in the form of an antiqued rose leather Gucci GG ‘Marmont’ chain handbag and those delicious Gucci ‘Adina’ dark yellow suede pumps.

Clémence Poésy: The French actress went down a more masculine route making this Gucci Fall 2015 look her own. I like how she allowed her hero piece – the sweater – to shine, while still styling the look with interesting pieces which also capture your attention.

Seeing these looks side by side made me chuckle, because this is how my sister and I look when we go out: polar opposites.

‘Paper Towns’ New York Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

'Paper Towns' New York Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

Cara Delevingne’s sister, fellow catwalkers and co-stars joined the model/actress on the red carpet for the ‘Paper Towns’ New York premiere at AMC Loews Lincoln Square on Tuesday (July 21) in New York City.

Poppy Delevingne: The socialite wore a dainty Dolce & Gabbana carnation print mini for the occasion. The accessories really sell the look to me; Jennifer Behr ‘Contessa’ Swarovski crystal-embellished headband and all.

Karlie Kloss: The model opted for a more minimalist Calvin Klein look while sticking to neutral shades. I have to say I love this look for Karlie. Her red carpet style isn’t always that great – although things have been improving – so this is win for her.

Joan Smalls: While I like her floral print Balmain Pre-Fall 2015 skirt, the turtleneck sweater on a summers evening is a head scratcher.

Poppy Delevingne In Christopher Kane – The Serpentine Gallery Summer Party

Poppy Delevingne In Christopher Kane - The Serpentine Gallery Summer Party

Poppy Delevingne attended The Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in London, England on Thursday (July 2).

The socialite wore a Christopher Kane Fall 2015 sheer dress etched with naked bodies which is somewhat ironic considering her visible underwear.

At this point I would be moaning about the appropriateness of showcasing your underwear at a daylight event or at all, but my focus on this occasion is the gothic makeup.

While it’s great to switch things up from time to time, Poppy doesn’t sell this look to me.

Poppy Delevingne In Valentino – Tiffany & Co. Exhibition ‘Fifth And 57th’ Opening Night

Poppy Delevingne In Valentino - Tiffany & Co Exhibition 'Fifth And 57th' Opening Night

Poppy Delevingne attended the opening night of the Tiffany & Co. ‘Fifth and 57th’ immersive exhibition at The Old Selfridges Hotel in London, England on Wednesday (July 1).

She was in full-on flower child mode here, donning a Valentino Spring 2015 dress that was boldly adorned with an array of patchwork, hippy-trippy prints and accessorized with a Mulberry cross-body bag.

This look is well-aligned to the socialite’s sometimes bohemian side—and it certainly reflects her willingness to colour outside the lines with fashion, which I always love to see.

Here, though, she lost me with the styling, as the slightly messy, crimped locks and bright white sneakers went too far afield. A sleek bun and sandals would have been much preferred.

This look actually immediately reminded of her previous outing at the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball over two years ago, which also saw her side-stepping convention in a short, printed boho-like frock in place of the expected gown.
