Serpentine Gallery Summer Party Menswear Roundup

Serpentine Gallery Summer Party Menswear Roundup

Brioni co-hosted the annual Serpentine Gallery Summer Party held at The Serpentine Gallery on Tuesday (July 1) in London, England, so no prizes for guessing that all the boys were decked out in their wares from head to toe.

James Righton: The musician joined his wife Keira Knightley wearing a peaked-lapel black suit with a bow tie. I can’t say I’m 100% sold on the fit of the jacket here.

Pharrell Williams:
Giving his Vivienne Westwood mountain hats a much-needed break, the musician opted for a more modest hat to go along with his outfit. He wore a checked Brioni shawl-collared navy blazer with a simple white graphic tee and Levi jeans, styling the look with black sneakers with colourful prints and a selection of beaded necklaces.

Oscars 2014 & Vanity Fair Party Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Oscars menThe Oscars 2014 on Sunday (March 2), and the ensuing soirees, were a fashion feast for the senses, with high-wattage gowns swishing at every glam turn. But the men provided plenty of eye candy, as well, as they suited up in their sartorial best for the stylish super-event at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California followed by the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Matthew McConaughey: The ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ Best Actor winner not only delivered a compelling acceptance speech, he also was convincingly decked out in a Dolce & Gabbana suit, Louboutin shoes and Chopard cufflinks. Always surprising us with his wild-card jackets, this one was a crispy ivory number, which he handsomely sported with a black vest, white button-down, black trousers and bowtie.

Bradley Cooper: Looking ever so dapper in a black Tom Ford tuxedo, paired with a black bow tie and Chopard cufflinks, the ‘American Hustle’ star and Best Supporting Actor nominee wore a side of handsome scruff with his classic ensemble

Pharrell Williams: Well, he wasn’t wearing the colossal hat, but the ‘Happy’ singer and nominee still turned heads with his cutoffs. The custom head-to-toe Lanvin look featured a black wool shawl-collar, one-button tuxedo with matching shorts, a white tuxedo shirt with ivory pearl buttons, a black satin bowtie and dark gray hand-polished calfskin derbies (sans socks, natch).  Yay or nay?

Brit Awards 2014 Menswear Roundup

Brit Awards men 1The Brit Awards 2014 on Wednesday (February 19) certainly brought some colourful, if not questionable, entrances from the starlets who crowded the O2 Arena in London, England. Not leaving the fashion fun to just the ladies, a crush of guys also flexed their sartorial strength.

Pharrell Williams: Yet again leaving his hat trick for another day, the entertainer returned to his favoured designer with this Lanvin charcoal-grey, lamé-effect two-button suit from the Hiver 2014 Pre-Collection. He paired the high-shine suit with a white tuxedo shirt with pearl buttons and a black satin bow tie, capping off the look with black patent leather derbies sans socks. Of course, he pulled his signature style move by rolling his pants into a cropped length to complete this cool-kid look.

Tinie Tempah: The British rapper gave us his dapper best in a Dolce & Gabbana two-tone champagne and charcoal-grey ensemble, featuring a textured, dotted blazer and vest and cropped trousers. He wore the suit with a printed grey tie, white shirt and socks-less black loafers. Did you like his mixing and matching?

Elle Style Awards Menswear Roundup

Elle Style Awards Men

Here is a quick look at some of the fellas on the red carpet from this evening’s (February 18) Elle Style Awards 2014 held at London’s One Embankment.

Pharrell Williams: Not picking up the Best Dressed Man of the Year (although he should have) the musician was happy with his International Recording Artist of the Year award. No surprise that he’s wearing his go-to designer Alber Elbaz; wearing a head-to-toe Lanvin Pre-Fall 2014 look consisting of a black leopard effect tuxedo blazer with satin peak lapels, and black-and-green two-tone cropped trousers. His white cotton tuxedo shirt with accented pearl buttons and styled with a signature black bow-tie, with black leather derbies rounding out his look. Thank god he left his Vivienne Westwood Mountain hat at home.

Tinie Tempah: The British rapper continues his epic run this week, attending his third fashion-related event in as many days. On this occasion to collect his UK Recording Artist Of The Year award you could see him from a mile away wearing a manly magenta Dolce & Gabbana double breasted suit, styled with a black bow-tie and loafers, obviously. It’s a bold look. Not many dudes would even attempt to pull it off, but I gotta say he makes it work, even though I am not a fan of shiny suits.

Pharrell Williams In Lanvin – The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute To The Beatles

Pharrell Williams In Lanvin - The Night That Changed America A Grammy Salute To The Beatles

Pharrell Williams joined Anna Kendrick, Katy Perry, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend on the red carpet at ‘The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute To The Beatles’ held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Monday (January 27) in Los Angeles, California, where he was a guest performer.

Still working that oversized Vivienne Westwood Mountain hat, the musician turned to his favourite brand; Lanvin, for his red carpet look.

Keeping it casual once again; he wore a grey tee, grey cardigan and black jeans with his Lanvin Fall 2012 wool plaid coat with Mongolian lamb shearling collar.

Styled with faded untied boots, he wrapped up his look with an emerald stone crucifix and a pearl accented Chanel necklace.

Not many guys could rock a Chanel necklace and make it work; Pharrell does.

Do you agree?

2014 Grammy Awards Menswear Roundup

2014 Grammy Awards Menswear RoundupOn the whole, the fashion hit a flat note at the 2014 Grammy Awards, held on Sunday (January 26) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. So I was rather relieved, if not mildly amused, to see the guys turn up the volume on their sartorial statements. Here, a roundup of menswear glimpsed at the show.

Pharrell Williams: The singer-producer, who accepted the record of the year trophy with Daft Punk, couldn’t be missed last night, thanks to his absurdly over-sized Vivienne Westwood Mountain Hat. The rest of the look—a red track jacket, jeans and faded untied boots—took a back seat to the mushy, mountie topper, which naturally drew some silly comparisons and a host of memes. But at least there was some attitude on the red carpet.

Daft Punk: The big winners of the night, the ‘Lucky’ French duo danced their way around in head-to-toe Saint Laurent ensembles. Of course, what really made those dark tuxes and bow ties pop were the silver and gold robot heads, the matching metallic gloves, and the Saint Laurent jodhpur boots in silvery glitter leather.
