2010 Goya Awards – Penelope Cruz In Vintage Versace

Penelope Cruz was in Madrid last night to attend the 2010 Goya Awards, which is the Spanish equivalent to the Oscars.

The actress who was not only a presenter on the night, but she was also nominated Best Actress for “Broken Embraces”.

Pen looked stunning wearing a vintage Gianni Versace ivory column gown with vertical signature “Gianni” Versace zippers in the back of the dress.

I loved the colour on her. So much more refreshing than the black gowns she tends to often wear.

The cut and silhouette is exquisite, and she just as beautiful from the front as she is from the back.

2010 SAG Awards – Penelope Cruz In L’Wren Scott

Back To Back Black Award
Much like last year, Penelope Cruz has opted for back to back black looks on the red carpet during awards season.

As much as I like stars to mix things up a little, I do love Pen in this L’Wren Scott Spring 2010 black beaded embellished fitted dress with fringed shoulders.

Her hair is elegantly swept over one shoulder, and her make-up is – as always – annoyingly flawless.

Her look was paired with Dana Davis black satin knotted front heels and Chopard jewels.

This picture really isn’t doing her justice. She looked better on screen.

More From The Golden Globes Red Carpet

Penelope Cruz wore a Armani Privé Spring 2005 black gown with a mermaid tail.

I like the lace the detail around the bust a shoulder line but I’m a little bored by Penelope in black again.

I feel that she’s trying to channel her Spanish roots here but it somehow looks a little messy.

Glenn Close sparkled in this black Oscar de la Renta floor length Fall 2009 dress.

I just feel it isn’t special enough for the Globes.

The bust line of the dress and the bare shoulders make her arms look too muscular.

Rose Byrne wore a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 dress in a deep purple with a bow detail at the waist.

I’m glad Rose decided to wear the dress in this colour but I apart from that I’m left feeling a little bored.

Kate Hudson walked the red carpet in a Marchesa Bridal Spring 2010 gown with sculptured band bodice and bottom flared skirt.

I just can’t make you my mind about this. Part of me is thinking “what the hell?” and the other part doesn’t mind it so much.

I’ve never really got why stars wear bridal looks on the red carpet but I’m actually quite drawn to the sculpting on the dress.

The shoes are way too heavy though.

Jaime Pressly is shimmering in this Kevan Hall Spring 2010 dress with a split up one side.

I prefer this dress on the model as I feel that it has more of an impact against brunette hair.

I don’t think the champagne coloured clutch compliments this dress at all.

Jenna Fischer wore a dress from Halston’s Spring 2010 collection.

I like it but I don’t love it. I just can’t see how this dress is event appropriate. This is a star’s chance to shine and this dress is never going to deliver that moment.

“Nine” Rome Screening

Penelope Cruz made a vast improvement from her earlier disastrous photocall look.

This time she looks gorgeous wearing a Armani Prive Fall 2006 Couture creme beaded halter dress, with matching gold peep-toes.

I love the embroidered detail on her dress.

It’s official.

The promo tour for the movie “Nine” has not even come close to living up to my expectations.

Marion Cotillard wore a black Vionnet dress which neither excites nor delights.

The first thing that honestly came to mind when I saw Marion was a monk.

I’m wishing she prayed for the House of Dior.

*BIG SIGH*

Sophia Loren you were our only remaining hope to bring some glamour to the promo tour.

Instead of dazzling us in couture or a custom-made gown, you give us big bird.

Runway To “Nine” Rome Photocall – Penelope Cruz In Dolce & Gabbana

Today in Rome Marion Cotillard, Sophia Loren and Penelope Cruz – three of the most stylish women from the hit movie “Nine” – arrived at the St Regis Grand Hotel for a photocall.

Unfortunately only 2 brought their style with them.

I’m sorry but I just can’t love Penelope Cruz in this Dolce & Gabbana dress from the waist down.

The fringed hem feel makes her look like a contestant on “Dancing With The Stars”, plus the tights water down the look.

If your going to jump on this “underwear as outerwear” trend it’s all not nothing.

I’m happy to see Sophia finally make an appearance. She’s chic as ever wearing a black skirt suit.

Marion keeps things very neutral wearing a white v neck dress, paired with black patent heels.

I think it’s going to take me a while to get over Pen’s look.

Runway To “2nd Annual Robert Garlock Screening” – Penelope Cruz In Naeem Khan

The big guns are back yeaa.

I feel like I’ve been on a red carpet detox, so it was great to see Penelope Cruz look outstanding as she attended the 2nd Annual Robert Garlock Screening to introduce her latest movie “Nine”.

The Spanish beauty looked beautiful wearing a white crystal web beaded Naeem Khan Spring 2010 dress.

The dress has been modified slightly to include a nude lining, which protects her modesty and also allows the crystal details to stand out even more.

I love make-up. So subtle and light and complementary to her gorgeous dress.

Unfortunately I don’t have a full length photo, so I will imagine she wore the same heels as the model.

Hoping to see more Naeem Khan magic on the red carpet this year.
