After wowing us in her red Bottega Veneta ensemble last week, Penelope Cruz appears to be on a roll as she looked outstanding wearing a forest green custom Herve L. Leroux gown to the Berlin premiere of “Los Abrazos Rotos (Broken Embraces)” yesterday.

I adore her draped one-shoulder gown as its such a classic red carpet look.

She really got everything right from the make-up, the subtle jewelry and her hair pulled back to show-off her neckline.

Regular readers will know that during awards season I was really frustrated with Cruz, but she appears to be back on top of her game.

Despite this laid back casual look for the “Broken Embraces” photocall in Berlin, Penelope still looks very glamorous in jeans, a black blazer, a chiffon print blouse and black peep-toes.

Red appears to be the colour of the week.

Georgina Chapman, Ciara, Ashley Roberts, and Meryl Streep have all worn this bold colour on the red carpet this week, and now we can add the beautiful Penelope Cruz to that list of scarlet women.

Penelope was in London for her “Broken Embraces” at Somerset House last night. and she looked outstanding wearing a red Bottega Veneta Resort 2010 suit with Bottega Veneta Fall 2009 wedges which had a cut-out detail in the heel.

The colour was beautiful against her glowing skin.  I don’t think many can pull off a red suit.

I like the way she turned up the pants and kept the jewelry to a minimum.

I wouldn’t have looked twice at the runway look, but Penelope would’ve made me break my neck to get a second glance.

Yes I’m gushing as I love her here.

“Inglourious Basterds” Premiere

I can’t believe I missed this one yesterday.

Isabelle Huppert must have stunned the crowds arriving in a Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 LBD, which some may mistake as a bin liner.

I said from the very first day, when the judges were unveiled, that she was the feisty one of the group, and some of her choices, this one especially, prove that. This is a tough dress to pull off, but I think she does. She has the right attitude.

Her dress was worn with black velvet heels from the same collection.

“Broken Embraces” Photo Call

Penelope Cruz and director Pedro Almodovar arrived at the photocall glued to the hip, as always.

He wore a Missoni sweater, whilst she wore a figure-hugging, nude Dolce & Gabbana strapless dress, which were paired with matching peep-toes.

For those who were speculating that she’s pregnant, I’m not so sure.

“Paris, Not France” Cocktail Party

Despite not seeming to have anything to promote at Cannes, Paris Hilton is determined to be the belle of the ball.

At a cocktail party thrown in her honour, she showed off her billowing, Roberto Cavalli floral chiffon maxi dress.

She wasn’t content with the dress being enough of a statement, she also added a diamante headband, a huge silver necklace, and multiple bracelets to complete her look.

She is obsessed with headbands at the moment.

“Inglourious Basterds” Photo Call

Diane Kruger wore a simple strapless vintage Chanel LBD to this photocall, with black peep-toes.

“Wild Grass” Premiere

We have seen many re-runs at Cannes Film Festival, but not by the same person.

Carine Roitfeld wears the same Balmain Spring 2009 ensemble, she wore to an event back in September.

I guess she is saving the wow factor for tonight’s amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Benefit.

Anne Consigny wears a fruity Valentino Spring 2009 Couture sleeveless dress, with a floral detail hem.

Penelope Cruz had food poisoning prior to this premiere, and who would believe her, when she looks this great.

I must have searched through hundreds of pictures to find one of her on her own, because in nearly every photo she was held by Director Pedro Almodovar, and at times her dress became distorted, and I wanted the perfect picture.

Penelope was sensational last night wearing a lilac chiffon draped strapless Marchesa Fall 2009 dress, with an embroidered bodice.

Again I’m loving the bare neck, as the bodice dazzles enough. I also love the way her hair is softly pulled back.

I fell out of love with Pen around awards season, but she’s back to her best here.

Actress Lea Seydoux walked the red carpet wearing the first Chanel gown at a premiere during Cannes Film Festival.

Her teal halter gown is from the Fall 2008 collection, which features black leather criss cross strips, and Celtic crosses.

For me the runway version works better with the 3 crosses, and the leather strips tied to the back, rather than falling down the front skirt of the gown.

Denise Rich wears the yellow version of same Emilio Pucci silk halter gown, which Michelle Ye wore earlier this week.

What a week for fabulous green gowns.

First Rachel Weisz, then Iman, and now Michelle Yeoh. Gorgeous.

Picking my top 5 Cannes gowns, may just have to be stretched to 10.

Michelle, imo, has never looked better than in this pleated green one-shouldered Versace gown.

Her emerald earrings are the perfect compliment to her gown.

Back in January Penelope Cruz was seen arriving at the Buffalo Club Santa Monica, wearing a L’Wren Scott Globule lace shift dress.

She wore her dress with black peep-toes, and without the red runway belt.

Rachel McAdams really turned up the style stakes, whilst out and about in New York last month. The actress looked adorable in the same gorgeous dress, with a Brian Reyes coat.

She gets extra points for teaming her dress with the red runway belt, which makes the dress more interesting, so she wins for me.

This dress is available to purchase from Net-A-Porter’s US site for $3,495, or the international site for £1,965/€2,411.45.

Salma Hayek and her husband, French billionaire François-Henri Pinault, had their second wedding this weekend.

People.com reported that Salma wore a Balenciaga wedding gown by Nicholas Ghesquiere for the actual ceremony, as she exchanged vows with Pinault, at the Venice opera house La Fenice. The bride wore her hair in a bun with a long veil, held a bouquet of orchids and stephanotis with crystals.

Her guests included Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Ashley Judd, Antonio Banderas and wife Melanie Griffith, Woody Harrelson, Edward Norton Ziyi Zhang, Philippe Starck, Stella McCartney, Lily Cole, Anna Wintour and former French President Jacques Chirac.were looking fabulous too.

Salma’s BFF Penelope Cruz arrived with her gorgeous beau Javier Bardem.

Penelope wore a Caribbean blue Gucci Spring 2009 one-sleeved gown, with gold strappy sandals, and a matching clutch.

I love Penelope here, she looks so relaxed and fresh faced.

Charlize Theron arrived wearing a Christian Dior Spring 2009 slate grey halter-neck dress, but by the time she left the dress was considerably shorter.

Either she did a quick change inside the venue, or possibly many people stepped on her gown forcing her to shorten it. Either way she looks fabulous, even with the mask.

Frida Giannini appears to have taken some tips from Donatella Versace, by modifying her Gucci Fall 2009 mini dress, into a gown for this special occasion.

Her Trib Two lookie-likie platform heels were also from her Gucci Fall 2009 collection.

Anna Wintour arrived wearing the same black and white Chanel Spring 2009 Couture dress, she’d worn earlier this year to the Extreme Beauty In Vogue Party.

I love that she is not afraid to wear the same thing twice, but I would have preferred to have seen her in something different.
