Diane Kruger In Prada – ‘Everest’ Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Diane Kruger In Prada - ‘Everest’ Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening

Diane Kruger attended the ‘Everest’ premiere which was part of the opening ceremony of the 2015 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 2).

I have tried – with every fibre of my being – to love this gown, but I can’t.

Not just because it’s a Prada gown, because her last Prada gown was outstanding. It’s the train. The train feels so matronly and stagnate.

Plus the gown feels like it was designed for a woman much older than Diane.

Styled with a Lee Savage clutch and Kwiat jewels, this is nice enough, but will not have pride of place on my best dressed list.

Paz Vega attended the ‘Everest’ premiere which was part of the opening ceremony of the 2015 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 2).

Ralph & Russo dominated Cannes Film Festival, and on sight of this majestic pale grey halter gown with glass bead and pearl droplet embellishments, I hope they’re on course to do it again.

I’m all for a princess moment, especially during a European film festival, but the removal of the tulle train took this look to another level; from romantic to femme fatale.

So far, this is so much better than Cannes.

Elizabeth Banks In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Everest’ Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Elizabeth Banks In Dolce & Gabbana - 'Everest' Venice Film Festival & Opening Ceremony

Elizabeth Banks returned to the red carpet for the ‘Everest’ premiere which was part of the opening ceremony of the 2015 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 2).

As I said in the previous post, I have longed for Elizabeth to grace the European film festival stage, so picture me almost shedding tears of joy and pure adulation at seeing my girl look breath-taking in Dolce & Gabbana tonight.

Yes, those ripples on the waist are preventing this from being a perfect 10, and yes those black ribbons at the back are far from ideal, but the gown fits like a glove.

Styled with a Dolce & Gabbana clutch, Kwiat earrings and a Harry Kotlar ring, Elizabeth was serving up nothing but movie star glamour. And that’s all I ask for.

Paz Vega In Salvatore Ferragamo – Venice Film Festival Jury Photocall

Paz Vega made it a hat-trick of floral looks to grace the red carpet for the jury photocall during the 2015 Venice Film Festival this afternoon (September 2) in Venice, Italy, following Elizabeth Banks and Diane Kruger.

Serving up plenty of vintage flare, the Spanish beauty wore a stylish Salvatore Ferragamo dress from the Resort 2016 collection which I love for its graphic lily print and the pentagonal volume added to the hips.

Ferragamo black peep toe satin platform shoes completed her chic, retro look.

Diane Kruger joined Elizabeth Banks for the jury photocall for the 2015 Venice Film Festival this afternoon (September 2) in Venice, Italy.

Also opting for a floral flourish, the German actress wore a Preen Resort 2016 sailor-inspired mini dress which also had somewhat of an Oriental air.

Breaking down the girlie aesthetic, she surprising opted to style the look with a Chelsea boot and sock combo.

Call me crazy, but she – as always – makes it work.

Proving that dreams do come true, Elizabeth Banks was unveiled as one of the jury members for the 2015 Venice Film Festival during a photocall this afternoon (September 2) in Venice, Italy.

Well, in honesty, the dream was Cannes, but I take Venice.

Lavish roses and intricate floral appliqués combine with spectacular effect on this charming Dolce & Gabbana jacquard frock, tailored in a classic A-line silhouette.

Some would stop at the print, but Elizabeth always goes the extra mile when it come to her footwear; donning a Stuart Weitzman ‘WildThing’ floral appliqué sandals to complement the dress.

Were the sandals too much?

I’ll take these over another pair of ‘Nudist’ sandals any day.
