Paula Patton In Azzaro – “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” Tokyo Photocall & Premiere

Paula Patton kick-started the press circuit for the latest ‘Mission Impossible’ film, ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’, in Japan yesterday.

The actress showed off two very different looks in Tokyo.

At the photocall Paula displayed her girly side in a grey t-shirt dress with a flared skirt, paired with a black harness belt and red suede Brian Atwood booties.

This playful silhouette paired with a high pony is exceptionally charming and daring red booties give it a fun touch.

The belt is a nice, figure-flattering touch, but seems almost a bit too heavy and competes with the shoes. That necklace is a whole other story, clashing completely, but almost in a good way.

Later on, Paula ditched the sweet look for full-on sexy, wearing a shiny black Azzaro Resort 2012 jumpsuit and silver Dolce & Gabbana pumps to the film’s Tokyo premiere.

The material of the jumpsuit seems too shiny to be leather – pleather, perhaps? PVC?

We get that Paula is playing up the femme fatale role, but this is ‘Mission Impossible’, not ‘Catwoman’.

A form-fitting pair of high quality black leather pants would’ve been much sexier.

“Jumping The Broom” LA Premiere

Going through the pictures from the “Jumping The Broom” LA Premiere, I found myself slightly confused.

It appears that some of the attendees were either way too overdressed or just beyond casual and that definitely made for some interesting looks.

Paula Patton: Looking every inch the star of this movie, Paula looked beautiful wearing a Moschino mini with gold embellished details around the neck and hemline. She has great legs and this dress showcases them perfectly. Brian Atwood gold pumps completed her look.

Angela Basset: It’s not her best look, but the colour of her Mandalay chiffon one-shoulder aqua blue dress with jeweled trim is beautiful. I would’ve preferred this look to be a little bit longer.

Eva Marcille: I’m not 100% sold on this look which includes a One by printed dress. I don’t hate it, but I feel like there are too many accessories. She should have left the clutch in the limo.

Pregnant “Precious” actress Paula Patton walked the red carpet wearing an ivory J.Mendel Resort 2010 gown strapless layered organza and tulle gown.

Her hair fell behind her shoulders to show off her stunning earrings.

As beautiful as she looks in her gown, I can’t help but think the canary yellow may have been a better colour for her.

AFI FEST 2009 Screening Of “A Single Man”, LA

Ginnifer Goodwin has never played by the ‘How to Style’ book.

She usually wears little known designers to ensure she keeps her individuality, but on this occasion she wore this grey lace dress from Chanel’s Resort 2010 collection.

The dress has an usual train at the front of the dress pinned with a silver brooch.

On most this would have been a disaster, but on Ginnifer without the turtleneck it some how works.

“You Know You Want It Style – Inspiration – Confidence” Book Launch Party, New York

Leighton Meester is not afraid to venture away from Blair Waldorf’s headbands and cardigans.

We’ve seen her take risks wearing Christopher Kane, and now she dons a striking abstract print Marios Schwab Fall 2009 mini dress.

I love her wild adventurous side.

“Precious: Based On The Novel ‘Push’ By Sapphire”, New York

Here we have another fabulous Elie Saab Fall 2009 embellished LBD.

Sophie looked fabulous in hers, whereas Paula Patton looks very restricted.

Precious Screening At 2009 AFI FEST

What a difference a decent dress can makes to Mariah Carey, as she has a tendency to want to wear very tight gowns that can make her look very trashy.

On this occasion she wore a Zac Posen Resort 2008 black mermaid gown and I think this is the best we have ever seen her, despite the fact that the gown has already been worn on the red carpet earlier this year.

Hair and make-up are fabulous, and she doesn’t go overboard with the bling.

BDOTW contender for sure.

Paula Patton has great legs, so she shortened her Bottega Veneta corseted dress to show them off and this modification works really well for her.

I’m not as excited about her necklace, but I do love her Jimmy Choo ‘Revere’ strappy sandals.

I love Mary J Blige, but I’m not so crazy about her Emillio Pucci Resort 2010 gown as it’s doing nothing for her.

Olivia Wilde opted for a white RM by Roland Mouret Scirocco crepe pencil dress with an asymmetric neckline and cap sleeves.

Nude make-up and accessories complete this look.

Garcelle Beauvais looks incredible wearing a red hot asymmetrical dress with Christian Louboutin glittery peep-toes.

Mo’Nique and her husband Sidney Hicks walked the red carpet together as she glowed wearing a gold shimmering strapless dress.

2009 Angel Ball to Benefit Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation

Whilst striking her signature pose Blake Lively look stunning wearing a Victoria Beckham black peplum mini dress.

She paired her dress with Christian Louboutin Calypso heels which have a navy sparkling toe cap.

We haven’t seen a lot of Victoria Beckham herself, but her dresses have to be the most popular dresses both on and off the red carpet at the moment.

Leighton Meester even wore 2 of VB’s dresses in one episode of ‘Gossip Girl’.

Denise Rich must be happy that all is now well at the house of Lacroix.

The songwriter is a huge fan of Christian Lacroix work, so for this occasion she donned a multi-colour printed Spring 2009 dress.

This is surprisingly the first look we have seen on the red carpet from that S09 collection, which is a shame because it was one of my favourites from Lacroix.
