Paloma Faith In Nicholas Oakwell Couture – Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Paloma Faith In Nicholas Oakwell Couture - Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Paloma Faith attended the Glamour Women of the Year Awards held at Berkeley Square Gardens on Tuesday (June 3) in London, England, where she picked up the UK Solo Artist award.

As you know, I have a huge soft spot for all things Paloma Faith.

Never one to fail to bring drama to the red carpet, I was delighted to see her glide down the carpet on this occasion working this Nicholas Oakwell Couture black sheer gown with floral appliqués from the Fall 2013 collection.

It’s a Paloma gown through and through. Opting not to wear a trademark fascinator, she styled her strawberry-blonde locks into a chic updo, just adding touches of red via her lip and nails.

Some might be put off by the sheerness, but considering Rihanna’s sheer look from the CFDA Fashion Awards, this is tame.

You may remember that Gillian Anderson wore this same dress to the Harper’s Bazaar Woman of the Year awards back in November. She opted to line the gown, giving it a different look and feel entirely.

Burberry Brings London To Shanghai

Burberry Shanghai 1

Burberry celebrated the launch of their new Shanghai flagship store by bringing London to Shanghai on Thursday (April 24).

Guests, including Burberry family members Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Jamie Campbell Bower, Angelababy and Gwei Lun-Mei, took a journey celebrating the Burberry worlds of Britishness, heritage, music and fashion.

Suki Waterhouse: The British model wore a Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2014 romantic, feminine black lace design made sultry by the side slit.

Cara Delevingne: Working a part-boyish, part-feminine look, the model wore a borrowed-from-the-boys cream shirt with a few buttons undone and a sheer crochet skirt, styled with a Burberry clutch and simple black pumps.

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2014 Womenswear Show

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2014 Womenswear Show

The Burberry Prorsum Fall 2014 fashion show took place during London Fashion Week this afternoon (February 17).

As we’ve come to expect, the hottest ticket in town attracted a lot of celebrity faces, some of whom also attended the menswear show last month. Bradley Cooper didn’t take to the red carpet, but you can see him seated next to Anna Wintour below.

Paloma Faith: After working a summery BDOTY-worthy look for the menswear show, Paloma was in a more Fall-like mood. Wearing pieces from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection including a London landscape printed tee and green jacquard pencil skirt, she wore the same maroon hat she wore for her last red carpet appearance, but it worked much better on this occasion when styled with a matching coat.

Naomie Harris: While the coat-and-open-toe-sandals fashion police may not favour this look, I have to say I’m loving the chic combo of the velvet devore coat with the chartreuse velvet sandal. Did I say love? Yes, LOVE.

Paloma Faith In Burberry Prorsum – Harvey Weinstein’s Pre-BAFTA Dinner

Paloma Faith In Burberry Prorsum - Harvey Weinstein's Pre-BAFTA Dinner

The eternally wonderful Paloma Faith attended Harvey Weinstein’s annual pre-BAFTA dinner yesterday evening (February 14) at London’s Little House Mayfair.

Admired for her louder-than-life red carpet creations and fearless approach to colour, it came as quite a surprise to see Paloma wearing head-to-toe black. Albeit a beautiful Burberry Prorsum Resort 2014 lace look.

Wearing a figure-hugging black mid-length dress and sheer over-coat with delicate cut-out and sheer detailing draped elegantly over her shoulders, Paloma complemented her look with an embellished Burberry black satin clutch and patent courts.

What this look lacks in colour it more than makes up for in glamour and grace. Now I’m sure some fans will be disappointed by the dark palette but I really believe this really is one of the stars most alluring looks, and one which reminds me of old Hollywood glamour.

It has charm, sassiness and sophistication and with Pamola’s unfading confidence, it also oozes a new kind of understated pizazz.

And of course no Paloma look would be complete without a hint of colour. While her flame-red hair was tied in a chic up-do, an orangey-red lip and pillar-box red nail hues added a fiery kick. Bravo Paloma.

Paloma Faith In Dolce & Gabbana & ASOS – ‘Cuban Fury’ World Premiere

Paloma Faith In Dolce & Gabbana - ‘Cuban Fury’ World Premiere

Paloma Faith attended the world premiere of ‘Cuban Fury’ held at Vue Leicester Square on Thursday (February 6) in London joining Rashida Jones.

Despite the rain, she opted for yet another summery look, donning a Dolce & Gabbana floral-print sheath styled with matching platform sandals, a pretty pink ASOS cocoon coat, a maroon hat, flesh-coloured tights and a Dolce & Gabbana ‘Miss Sicily’ bag.

While I am probably the greatest fan of Paloma’s style, I’m not a fan of this look.

Her daytime floral dress feels not only so out of season but also so out of place at this event.

The tights send shivers down my spine, and not in a good way; the matching sandals are a tad cheesy; and the maroon hat doesn’t go with any part of her look.

I love the ASO coat and the floral-lined umbrella, but would save the dress for a summer’s evening premiere.
