Who Wore Armani Privé Better…Rocio Munoz Morales or Paloma Faith?

Who Wore Armani Prive Better Rocio Munoz Morales or Paloma Faith

Rocio Munoz Morales brought this breath-taking Armani Privé Fall 2015 black and red gown to life, while hosting the opening night of the 65th edition of the Festival della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo 2015, back in February.

A few short weeks later, Paloma Faith wore the same gown to the Brit Awards, toning down her usually eccentric styling for swept back tresses and pointy black pumps.

Even with Paloma’s effortless styling, my heart still sways to Rocio, as her elegance took my breath away.

Paloma Faith In Armani Privé, Giles & Dolce & Gabbana – 2015 BRIT Awards

Paloma Faith In Armani Privé 2015 BRIT Awards

It was a busy night for Paloma Faith, who attended the 2015 BRIT Awards held at the O2 Arena on Wednesday (February 25) in London, England.

Following the red carpet, she gave us a moving rain-soaked performance before collecting her award for ‘Best British Female Artist’.

Here is a rundown of her three looks.

Red Carpet: Despite this look being a re-run, I loved seeing this Armani Privé Fall 2014 tulle bustier dress with red polka dots and black veil net with small raised red chenille decorations on the red carpet once again. I’m still in awe of how elegant and refined the look is. Paloma does it justice, toning down her theatrics for a sleek hairstyle and bold red lip. You may remember that Rocio Munoz Morales wore this same dress during Sanremo 2015.

Who Wore Lanvin Better…Emma Stone or Paloma Faith?

Who Wore Lanvin Better Emma Stone or Paloma Faith

Emma Stone wore a Lanvin Fall 2014 black strapless faux-leather dress accented with a military-style belt for the Paris premiere of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise Of Electro’ back in April.

Paloma Faith, who usually pledges her allegiance to all things Dolce & Gabbana, wore the same frock to the BBC Music Awards back in December, pairing her look with fiery red and black pumps.

I was never a fan of Emma’s ankle-strap pumps with this look, so Paloma wins for me.

Paloma Faith In Lanvin – BBC Music Awards

Paloma Faith In Lanvin - BBC Music Awards

Paloma Faith attended the BBC Music Awards held at Earls Court Exhibition Centre on Thursday (December 11) in London, England.

Known for wearing Dolce after Dolce, the singer changed the habit of a lifetime to don this leather Lanvin Fall 2014 strapless dress accented with a military-style wide belt.

I love the styling of the look with touches of red, especially within her patterned pumps.

Usually sporting a blonde and flame-red hair combo, the singer has gone for a switch, opting just for blonde.

You may remember that Emma Stone wore this same Lanvin dress back in April while promoting the ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise Of Electro’, but hers was shorter length.

Charlotte Olympia ‘Handbags For The Leading Lady’ Launch Dinner

Charlotte Olympia 'Handbags For The Leading Lady' Launch Dinner

Charlotte Olympia hosted an intimate evening of cocktails followed by dinner to celebrate the launch of the new leather handbag collection ‘Handbags for the Leading Lady’, held at Toto’s Restaurant on Thursday (October 23) in London, England.

Naomi Campbell: The supermodel was decked out in a beautiful black lace sari injected with a fiery red trim. Black and red appears to be a favourite colour combo for the supermodel and it works to dazzling effect again on this occasion. Her look was of course styled with a Charlotte Olympia ‘Astaire’ bag.

Paloma Faith: The British singer was of course wearing Dolce & Gabbana, opting for the brand’s signature animal-print fitted dress, which will never go out of style. Adding touches of red via her Charlotte Olympia ‘Dolly’ pumps, lips and nails, the singer completed her sexy temptress look with a gold Charlotte Olympia ‘Astaire’ bag.

Alice Eve: The British actress didn’t opt for high glamour like Ms Campbell and Faith, opting instead for a chic smart-casual look consisting of easy black separates, with a Richard Nicoll Fall 2013 cape playing the central role in this look. Alice was lucky enough to get her hands on the Charlotte Olympia ‘Bogart’ bag top-handle bag, which comes with a matching pair of gloves.

No doubt this bag will be heading to Dita von Teese soon in every colourway.

During Paris Fashion Week I got to see this collection up close. The images are below.

You can pre-order the bags from Charlotte Olympia’s website.

Paloma Faith In Dolce & Gabbana – Late Show With David Letterman

Paloma Faith In Dolce & Gabbana - Late Show With David Letterman

Paloma Faith made a guest appearance on the ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ which was taped at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Wednesday (September 24) in New York City.

As you know, I have a very soft spot for Paloma, but even I can’t support this.

The singer, who has never been afraid of colour and print, perhaps took this a little overboard with her Dolce & Gabbana look on this occasion.

The orange floral garland isn’t the issue here because it complements the orange print on her frock, plus Paloma isn’t Paloma without some form of expressive headwear.

It’s the boots that took this look just way too far.

What could’ve been cute and quirky went into print overload.
