Christa B. Allen In Vintage Irene Galitzine – Audi Kick Off Emmy Week 2012 Party

Christa B. Allen attended the Audi Kick Off Emmy Week 2012 Party at Cecconi’s Restaurant on Sunday in LA.

She donned an original Irene Galitzine rust and black velvet polka-dot vintage mini dress from Decades, which has a V-neckline and an asymmetrical ruffle detail.

The ‘Revenge’ actress brought the look right up to date with gold Jerome C Rousseau ‘Orner’ strappy sandals, Adeler earrings and a gold Judith Leiber clutch.

Side-swept locks and a rouge lip colour provided the finishing touches.

Keira Knightley For Vogue US October 2012

Keira Knightley looks as regal as ever on the cover of American Vogue’s October 2012 issue wearing Chanel Couture…of course…with her latest movie ‘Anna Karenina’ set to hit theatres with a limited release on November 16th.

The British beauty continues to stun in the rest of her editorial which sees her wearing yet another Chanel Couture gown, Dior Couture, Valentino Couture and costume from the Anna Karenina movie, designed by Jacquelin Durran and shot by Mario Testino.

Keira talks to the mag about everything from being a feminist, to wanting to do another theatre performance and her fiancé James Righton.

Here are some extracts from her interview.

On being a feminist: “I remember doing interviews, and people would ask, as if it was a joke, ‘So you mean you are a feminist?’ As though feminism couldn’t be discussed unless we were making fun of it. I don’t want to deny my femininity, but would I want to be a stay-at-home mother? No. On the other hand, you should be allowed to do that, as should men, without being sneered at.”

On wanting to do another live performance: “I’d love to do a new play. I think it works particularly well with period drama. The characters that you like will often say something directly about your own life choices.”

On accepting challenging on-screen roles: “I’m not really interested in the kinds of women who just take their clothes off or have a sex scene and then say something cool. I think a lot of people want to play heroic characters, and that’s it, but I don’t find that very compelling. It’s far more interesting to think about characters whose actions don’t always make sense.”

On her character Anna Karenina: “She is both a villain and a heroine. She can be incredibly vain and manipulative. She is somebody who breaks her own moral code, and yet the shame and disgust she lives with because of that make her fascinating.”

On whether she’ll spend Christmas with her family or fiancé Jame Righton’s family: “I have no idea; it’s a massive question. My family was just four and very simple. Now all of a sudden it’s breaking into different parts. I cannot imagine my mother letting us go.”

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Mulberry – Tuvanipupu Island

Next up for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their Diamond Jubilee Tour was a visit to the Tuvanipupu Island.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge opted for a navy Mulberry Resort 2012 dress after wearing a run of colourful dresses.

The broderie anglaise sleeveless dress with a Peter Pan collar was styled with a navy patent leather belt, Kiki McDonough drop earrings and her Stuart Weitzman Corkswoon wedges which perfectly complemented the look on this occasion.

While Catherine’s makeup is lovely, the humidity seems to have taken hold of her usually glossy locks.

Cat Deeley In Tadashi Shoji – Audi Kick Off Emmy Week 2012 Party

Cat Deeley looked lovely as she took to the red carpet for the Audi Kick Off Emmy Week 2012 Party at Cecconi’s Restaurant on Sunday in LA.

The ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ host wore a Tadashi Shoji Fall 2012 dress.

I love that this red Chantilly lace cocktail dress, featuring a tiered pleated silk skirt and cap sleeves, is a step outside her neutral-loving colour palette.

I’m also glad she shortened the dress which she complemented with a rich red lip shade and Christian Louboutin for Michael van der Ham Fall 2012 printed platform sandals.

Signature enviable free-flowing golden tresses completed her look.

Nieves Alvarez In Spring 2013 Looks On ‘Solo Moda’ Part 2

For the eighteenth ‘Solo Moda’ show Nieves Alvarez wore an additional six Spring 2013 looks straight off the runway at Madrid Fashion Week.

The supermodel started with a Juan Vidal black embroidered halter dress with less-than-excitable Jimmy Choo sandals.

She stepped up her shoe game for the second look, donning gold Christian Louboutin peep-toes with a grey Ailanto sleeveless top and slit short shorts.

Whilst I love the pretty white Teresa Helbig fit-and-flare dress styled with a gold Alexis Bittar statement necklace, the pink lace-up boots by the same designer don’t work with the look for me.

Not only are they too stark for the dress, they also aren’t really in tune with Nieves’ style. Read More…

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Jaeger – Guadalcanal Island

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge visited Honiara at Guadalcanal Island and paid a visit to the Prime Minister’s office on day seven of their Southeast Asian Diamond Jubilee Tour.

Catherine looked pretty in a vibrant yellow Jaeger shirtdress.

Her short-sleeve dress with pleated skirt and a satin waistbelt tied into a bow was, of course, paired with her favourite L.K. Bennett nude pumps and Kiki McDonough drop earrings.

As much as I love Catherine’s glossy tresses, this look would’ve looked great with a simple ponytail.
