Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Olivia Wilde graced the red carpet at Variety’s 3rd Annual Power of Women event which was held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel last week.

She opted for a sophisticated Jason Wu Fall 2011 dress.

Her houndstooth-print sleeveless sheath dress with scalloped lace embroidery was paired with grey suede YSL ‘Palais’ platform pumps and Eddie Borgo jewelry.

The actress wore her hair in a chic updo whilst keeping her makeup simple minus a hot flash of bold fuchsia pink lipstick.

Olivia continues to slide for me.

The pieces are great individually, but the styling ages her quite dramatically.

Demi Moore was at the same event, yet she looks younger and more modern than Olivia does.

Olivia Wilde attended The Variety Studio at Holt Renfrew during the 2011 Toronto Film Festival on Tuesday.

The ‘House’ actress wore a Preen Fall 2011 ensemble.

Her outfit includes a silk print long balloon sleeve blouse which has navy blue cuffs.

Olivia paired her dress with a navy wrap skirt with an orange panel picking through the slant.

The peek-a-boo element doesn’t work for me.

It feels too gimmicky and Preen aren’t that type of brand, so it would be interesting to know if this is a stylist improvisation.

Navy satin pumps and simple bun completed her look.

It looks like Olivia Wilde has an obsession other than wearing black dresses on the red carpet.

She also loves her Ralph Lauren Collection fringed bag.

It looks like the “Cowboys and Aliens” actress can’t leave home without her trusty on-trend bohemia bag by her side.

The leather bag features cascades of long fringes around the bag and a front fastening.

It’s the perfect accessory to her ‘just popping out’ looks.

Finally, A Colour Other Than Black Award
Olivia Wilde ended her depressing run of wearing only black gowns on the red carpet at the 2011 VH1 Do Something Awards which was held in LA yesterday.

The ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ star opted for a minty Chloé Resort 2012 gown.

Her pleated dress with a keyhole detail was paired with cream Raven Kauffman Couture embroidered clutch and grey Jimmy Choo ‘Crown’ peep-toes.

Unfortunately it’s not enough that Olivia didn’t wear black as she fails to breathe any life into this look.

She’s missing her mojo. It’s been lost since she started the promo tour for her latest movie.

Dear Olivia, in the words of Marvin Gaye, “What’s going on?”

Tonight at the “Cowboys & Aliens” London Premiere, Olivia Wilde continues to prove that the studio were wrong to leave Ana de la Reguera at home.

Olivia follows in Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston’s footsteps by consistently wearing black during this lacklustre promo tour.

The actress wore a black polka dot printed silk chiffon Gucci Fall 2011 gown with a white polka dot bow detail and a black belt.

If you don’t like it from the front, you’re going to hate it from the side because there is a lot of side boob going on.

I’m shocked that her hairstylist is continuing to use that dry ratty ombre weave because it’s doing nothing for her.

This could’ve been a great look without the bow detail and the weave because her make-up is flawless.

Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps completed her look.

I used to be really excited to see Olivia on the red carpet but that feeling continues to wane.

Olivia Wilde joined co-stars Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig on the red carpet for the “Cowboys & Aliens” Berlin Premiere in Germany last night.

The House’ star wore a Tom Ford Fall 2011 dress.

Her figure-hugging dress with a split neckline, shoulder pads and structured details on the bodice was paired with black Brian Atwood pumps.

Surely this fitted dress would been more appropriate for her photocall during the 64th Festival del Film di Locarno in Switzerland, and she should’ve worn her Gucci gown to this premiere.

The other baffling thing is that Julianne Moore wore this same dress just a little over a week ago when she made a guest appearance on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman.’

Olivia tried to add some spark to her look by styling her hair into a bunched ponytail, but the weave she’s used to create the look is a totally different colour to her natural hair colour.

Carrera y Carrera gold jewelry including stud earrings, a bangle and a gold statement ring completed her look.

I tried to find at least one positive, but from the rats tail to the re-run dress there is nothing I like about this look.

Olivia continues to slide for me.

Where is Ana de la Reguera?
