Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Olivia Wilde looked stunning on the red carpet of the 2012 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, held in West Hollywood last night.

In her second Gucci look of the weekend, Olivia wore a black silk georgette Pre-Fall 2012 evening gown with black crystal and sequin-embroidered black velvet belt detail accented with dragonflies.

The actress drew full attention to her gorgeous face with a sleek ballerina bun and kohl-rimmed eyes.

Olivia Wilde opted to skip the red carpet at the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards, held in Santa Monica, California yesterday evening.

Thankfully we still get to see her colourful Gucci Pre-Fall 2012 dress inside the venue.

Her strapless floral print maxi dress in shades of white, red, purple and black looked gorgeous on her as Gucci continues to be a winning brand for her.

Olivia accessorized with Irene Neuwirth earrings and gold Ippolita bangles which were the perfected complement to her floral dress.

Soft wavy, tresses and barely-there make-up completed her look.

Back in 2008, Olivia Wilde wore a dove-grey Reem Acra beaded cap-sleeve gown to the Emmy Awards.

She looking like a sweet princess in this gorgeous gown as it’s romantic and ethereal.

With her hair back in a simple low bun, she completed the look with a cocktail ring and a silver box clutch.

Julie Bowen wore the same gown in nude to the 2012 Golden Globe Awards last month.

She also teamed her gown with a matching clutch, but unfortunately for her this gown leaves her looking washed out, so Olivia wins for me.

We remember being caught in that awkward stage of growing out a short hair cut, but we don’t remember our locks looking this good during that time.

Now we wish we’d given the lengthened ‘lob’ a go.

Still in the bob family—thanks to the shape of the cut—just a few inches longer, the little longer ‘lob’ is a versatile way of growing your strands gorgeously and gracefully.

Instead of pulling it into a ponytail (like we did on a daily basis), find inspiration in the manes of a few of our favorite celebrities.

Try it blown straight like Emma Stone, choppy and layered like Nicole Richie, full of piece-y texture like Olivia Wilde, big and curly like Julianne Hough, tousled and wavy like Lucy Hale, or sleek and retro like Jessica Chastain.

Olivia Wilde joined the seemingly endless list of stars at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Saturday evening.

Dressed in a black MMonique Lhuillier Spring 2012 gown with side and back lace panelling, Olivia showed off her new shoulder-length haircut.

The actress paired her gown with Cartier jewelry, including a white-gold and black-onyx pave diamond panther head ring, a white-gold pave diamond and black-onyx
love bracelet, and a white-gold, diamond, and black-onyx panther link bracelet.

While she had some tough competition, Olivia ranks amongst the best dressed of the night.

From the lace racerback and high back-slit to the fresh new ‘do, I really like this look.

Do you agree, or would you rather see Olivia in something with more colour?

NB: Sorry the comments aren’t working at the moment. We will have it working again soon.

Despite ‘The Iron Lady’ being about an iconic British figure, Lady Margaret Thatcher, the movie had its first premiere in New York last night.

The red carpet was a very sombre affair.

Meryl Streep: The lead actress wore a Fall 2011 look by British designer Stella McCartney. Her navy pleated plisse blouse was teamed with a black ankle-length skirt. This is the second time the actress has worn a McCartney look to promote this movie.

Olivia Wilde: Leopard-print pumps injected some life into her black Dolce & Gabbana dress; yet, as always, something is missing, which makes me only like and not love this look.
