Olivia Wilde In J. Mendel – ‘Drinking Buddies’ Brooklyn Screening

Olivia Wilde In J Mendel - 'Drinking Buddies' Brooklyn Premiere

Following her guest appearance on ‘Letterman’, Olivia Wilde headed to the Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn, New York for a screening of her latest movie, ‘Drinking Buddies’, yesterday evening.

She looked divine wearing a racer-front dress from the J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2013 collection featuring side and back cut-outs and a full skirt with topstitch detailing, which she styled with the same nude Christian Louboutin ‘Croisilleta’ sandals she had worn earlier in the day.

I love how the dress flatters her figure with a silhouette which fits close to the body, then flares into a floaty A-line.

Olivia Wilde In Theyskens’ Theory – Late Show with Letterman

Olivia Wilde In Theyskens' Theory - Late Night with Letterman

Like Lady Gaga, Olivia Wilde wore a few different looks yesterday to promote her new movie, ‘Drinking Buddies’.

Following her ‘Good Morning America’ look, she headed over to the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City for a guest appearance on ‘Letterman’.

She wore a beautiful, slightly sheer white Theyskens’ Theory Resort 2014 dress with a fitted waist and breezy skirt with a shorter layer visible underneath.

Style-wise, Olivia is back on track and back to her best, and this stunning look is a testament to that fact.

Keeping the gold bracelet from her previous look, she styled her white frock with nude Christian Louboutin ‘Croisilleta’ sandals. Shimmering silver eye makeup, which drew out her eyes, and glossy lips completed her look.

Would you add or take away anything from this look? Or do you agree that it is pretty damn perfect as it is?

Olivia Wilde In Crippin & Clover Canyon – Good Morning America

Olivia Wilde In Crippin & Clover Canyon - Good Morning America

With all the commotion caused by Lady Gaga, Olivia Wilde was able to slip into the ‘Good Morning America’ studios quietly yesterday morning.

The actress was on the show to promote her latest movie, ‘Drinking Buddies’.

Opting for a more casual look to Gaga, the brunette beauty once again kept her look simple, wearing a plain black Crippin ‘Alex’ tee with a Clover Canyon ‘Gold Panther’ fitted pencil skirt, which she styled with an EF Collection gold bangle and electric-blue Jimmy Choo ‘Vamp’ sandals.

I love the effortlessness of the look, which was kept chic with her fancy footwear and glossy tresses.

Olivia Wilde In Robert Rodriguez – ‘Drinking Buddies’ LA Screening

Olivia Wilde In Robert Rodriguez - 'Drinking Buddies' LA Screening

Jennifer Aniston was left to continue promoting ‘We’re The Millers’ without co-star Jason Sudeikis, who jetted home following Wednesday’s London premiere to be by fiancée Olivia Wilde’s side for the screening of her new movie, ‘Drinking Buddies’, held at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, California yesterday evening – now that’s love.

With the title of the movie, ‘Drinking Buddies’, it was no wonder that the dress code was more casual on this occasion.

Olivia still looked stunning wearing a charcoal Bruce Springsteen ‘The River’ t-shirt paired with a black asymmetrical Robert Rodriguez Fall 2013 skirt, with a gold Cresta Bledsoe cuff, and black accessories including a Smythson envelope clutch and black pumps.

Tousled waves and smouldering kohl-rimmed eyes completed her part-rocker, part-sexy-chic look.

Embracing one of Solange Knowles’ current favourite print-centric designers, Olivia wore a Clover Canyon Resort 2014 dress in a trippy, 3-D engineered pattern, all grounded by the likeness of a colonial structure at the front.

Although the frock was primarily monochromatic, the actress took advantage of its colourful op-art stripes with her grass-green Jimmy Choo ‘Rebel suede clutch and ‘Larissa’ platform sandals.

Opting to keep the rest of her styling straightforward, she swept her hair into a mini-bouffant ponytail and skipped everything but the most neutral shades of makeup.

Do you like the contrast between her maximum fashion and minimal beauty?

Olivia Wilde In Osman – ‘We’re The Millers’ New York Premiere

Olivia Wilde In Osman - 'We're The Millers' New York Premiere

Olivia Wilde joined Jennifer Aniston on the red carpet yesterday evening at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City for the ‘We’re The Millers’ premiere.

The actress wore an Osman Fall 2013 dress, opting for a beautiful bright-red hue over the grey runway look.

I’m often wanting Olivia to opt for bold, striking colour, so she did me proud on this occasion with her modern strapless frock with a high-low hem.

The theme appeared to be nude and red, with a gorgeous red lip colour and nude accessories including strappy Christian Louboutin ‘Croisilleta’ sandals and a Christian Louboutin ‘Miss Loubi’ studded clutch; Jennifer Meyer gold-bar studs and a thin yellow-gold bangle completed the look.

It’s been a while since I have said these words about an Olivia Wilde look: this is a BDOTW contender. I’m glad she didn’t tone things down as she was attending as Jason Sudeikis’s plus one.

Do you agree?

Olivia Wilde for Fashion Magazine September 2013

olivia-wilde

Olivia Wilde donned a Gucci ‘Heaven’s Bird’ feather-festooned frock on the cover of Canada’s Fashion Magazine for their September issue.

The 29-year-old actress is about to kick-start her promo tour for her latest movie ‘Rush’. She stars opposite Chris Hemsworth in the movie which is based on the true story of Austrian race-car driver Niki Lauda and his race with British competitor James Hunt.

She talks to the mag about her stylish character Suzy Miller who was James Hunt’s first wife, her relationship with fiancé Jason Sudeikis and her past experience of love.
Here are some extracts from her interview:

On her stylish, scandalous role in ‘Rush’: “It is based on a true story. I play Suzy Miller—who was James Hunt’s first wife. Suzy ended up leaving [James] for Richard Burton—who left Elizabeth Taylor for Suzy. My job in the film was to tell the story of James’s tumultuous marriage, which was very ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’ messy… I got to wear archive Gucci head to toe through the movie!”

On learning a few tricks from fiancé Jason Sudeikis: “His skill level is so high. I really have learned a lot from him, especially when it comes to being bold and taking risks as an actor within a role. Comedians are so great about trying things, like doing seven takes in seven different ways and really not being afraid to stumble.”

On her past experience with love: “It’s really hard to jump into a relationship after you feel you’ve been through a difficult time…I liken it to a burn victim jumping back into a Jacuzzi. It took a lot of coaxing.”

On how Marchesa upped her star wattage: “People remember what you wear. At the Golden Globes in 2010, I wore a brown Marchesa ball gown that people still stop me on the street to ask me about—which I think is so funny. I never thought I’d be recognized for a dress. [Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig] really understand my body and I love when they take risks. I think they’re one of the more adventurous design teams.”
