Valentino ‘Mirabilia Romae’ Fall 2015 Couture Front Row

Valentino 'Mirabilia Romae' Fall 2015 Couture Front Row

Valentino held their ‘Mirabilia Romae’ Fall 2015 Haute Couture show at Piazza Mignanelli on Thursday (July 9) in Rome, Italy.

This appeared to be a very fancy affair, as all the attendees were decked out in full-length gowns.

Gwyneth Paltrow: It’s great to see Gwyneth step outside that fitted-mini-dress box she’s so comfortable in, but this Valentino Fall 2015 shapeless sack of a dress doesn’t do it for me. The only thing I love is the colour, as she’s tends to stick to black or white.

Tilda Swinton: As you know I am a huge fan of Tilda’s style, yet I couldn’t get behind this Valentino Fall 2015 white gown. I don’t find it particularly flattering and I couldn’t get the image of a priests robe out of my mind.

Who Wore Christian Dior Better…Olivia Palermo or Natalia Vodianova?

Who Wore Christian Dior Better Olivia Palermo or Natalia Vodianova

Olivia Palermo and Natalia Vodianova wore the same Christian Dior Resort 2016 check dress on the same day (July 6).

Olivia wore her dress while attending the Schiaparelli Fall 2015 Couture show during Paris fashion week, while Natalia wore hers a few hours later while attending the Dior show.

While I’m not a huge fan of the scarf Olivia added to this look, I much prefer her styling as Natalia’s white shirt sent this look down a school uniform route.

Front Row @ Fall 2015 Couture Week

Front Row @ Fall 2015 Couture Week

Fashionable femmes have been in attendance at a range of shows during Paris Fall 2015 Couture Fashion Week in Paris, France.

Olivia Palermo: Included in her fashion show rounds, Olivia was at the Schiaparelli presentation on Monday (July 6), where she opted to wear a Christian Dior gingham frock. Styled with flats and a silk printed scarf, the ensemble did possess a certain charm. But the deep and wide plunge neckline did no favours to the otherwise sweet silhouette.

Paz Vega: While the sheer overload continues, I still absolutely loved Paz’s Ralph & Russo Couture outing at the Ralph & Russo Couture show on Tuesday (July 7). The combination of enchanting, laser-cut white lace and the glamorous, old-Hollywood peplum silhouette had me at hello—and the daring punch of the scorpion-encrusted clutch only furthered my affection for the look.

Lupita Nyong’o
: The actress was definitively elegant in a Maison Margiela sheer-paneled dress at the Maison Margiela Couture show on Wednesday (July 8). While the impeccable tailoring contributed to the success of the ensemble, it was refreshing to likewise see Lupita veer slightly outside the box with funky platform heels—although this would have been a nice occasion to bring in a vibrant lip, too.

M.A.C Cosmetics & Giambattista Valli Floral Obsession Ball

MAC Cosmetics & Giambattista Valli Floral Obsession Ball

Nieves Alvarez and Olivia Palermo joined Jessica Alba at the M.A.C Cosmetics and Giambattista Valli Floral Obsession Ball, held at Opera Garnier on Monday (July 6) in Paris, France.

Nieves Alvarez: Paying homage to the theme, she wore a Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2015 mini dress with a swath of floral-printed paneling providing a vivid contrast to the striking black and white colour blocking. Black strappy sandals and a clutch completed the sweet-chic look that she wore with sophisticated charm.

Olivia Palermo: While her black blouse and off-white Christian Dior Spring 2015 wrap skirt was classically elegant, there was a certain lack of vibrancy in the ensemble despite the added flair brought by the leopard-printed Francesco Russo sandals. Even a bright lip would have done much to perk up the look.

Christian Dior Fall 2015 Couture Front Row

Dior 1
The Christian Dior Fall 2015 Couture front row was filled with Dior-dressed darlings, who watched the magical procession of confections make their way down a purple-hued runway on Monday (July 6) during Paris Fashion Week in Paris, France.

Emily Blunt
: Cutting a pristinely sophisticated profile, the actress struck a lovely balance between old Hollywood glamour and modern elegance in her sleek Christian Dior mock peplum dress styled with side-parted retro waves and Dior Fine Jewelry. Her navy clutch and houndstooth pumps were a glorious addition to her all-white look.

Lupita Nyong’o
: Unfortunately, the only element I liked about Lupita’s outing was the radiant red colour of her Dior dress. The frock itself translated as rather ill-fitting and far too twee for the actress, and the black Dior pumps, funky sunglasses, and Dior earrings did nothing to warm me to this look.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
: Changing her look by a full 180 degrees from her frow appearance at the Atelier Versace Fall 2015 show, the supermodel wore a plaid Dior jacket and shorts paired with Dior sandals and funky Dior shades. While the ensemble was likewise rather youthful, she carried it off with a sweet sense of chic panache so that the ‘too twee’ label need not apply.
