Christian Dior Spring 2015 Front Row

Christian Dior Spring 2015 Front Row

The Christian Dior front row is one I always look forward to during fashion week; however, on this occasion I was somewhat underwhelmed by the looks the ladies were displaying this afternoon (September 26) in Paris, France.

Marion Cotillard: The French actress and Dior ambassador kept her look uber-simple wearing a chic LBD with cobalt-blue velvet ankle boots. I don’t by any means dislike the look, but as always I want just a little bit more from Marion.

Olivia Palermo: The only person who piqued my interest was Olivia. If anyone can spark some life into an LBD it’s her. Her double-breasted coat dress with sheer sleeves was accented with a Dior Resort 2014 scarf, dual-colour Dior bag and a her favourite Jimmy Choo ‘Dream’ tassel-accented sandals.

Dakota Fanning: Wearing a black Dior Couture dress, the black accessories I don’t mind, but I couldn’t help but wish for a pop of colour to the lips or a new hairdo (as always) from Dakota.

Who Wore Burberry Prorsum Better…Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Olivia Palermo, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or Sarah Jessica Parker

WWIB Burberry PonchoWWIB Burberry Poncho 2

Five style setters have been sending us a strong signal: ponchos will be big this fall.

Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse donned their monogrammed Burberry Prorsum Fall 2014 poncho immediately after walking the show in February. Suki wrapped her around her moss-green Burberry coat.

Olivia Palermo wore her monogrammed poncho on a photo shoot in New York in July with a checked shirt and chestnut-coloured skort styled with over-the-knee Stuart Weitzman boots, Westward Leaning shades and a CH Carolina Herrera Casati bag.

The gorgeous Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wearing her RHW Burberry Prorsum poncho in Sydney with dark denim jeans, Louboutin boots and a trendy fedora.

Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted wearing hers just last week over causal separates while doing the school run.

I really love SJP’s effortless styling, however, the chic appeal of Suki’s look won me over.

Who Wore Burberry Prorsum Better…Maggie Gyllenhaal or Olivia Palermo?

Who Wore Burberry Prorsum Better Maggie Gyllenhaal or Olivia Palermo

Back in May, Maggie Gyllenhaal attended the New Museum Artist Dinner hosted by Burberry wearing a look from the British brand’s Fall 2014 collection.

The loose-fit keyhole hand-printed dress was matched with a rare punchy pink lip, patterned pumps and a gold clutch.

There was nothing rare about Olivia Palermo’s styling when she gave the look a second spin while attending the Chadstone’s Icons Of Style campaign event in Australia last month.

Adding the runway printed scarf, a yellow clutch and Aquazzura sandals, the look was instantly Oliviarized.

I deliberated for a while on this one: was the scarf too much on Olivia? Should I give this to Maggie because she made the look her own?

Eventually I went with the super-stylish Olivia, mostly for her addition of the yellow clutch.

Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 Front Row

Burberry Womenswear SS15 - Arrivals

A crush of beauties, and a handsome boy, were out in force for the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 fashion presentation on Monday (September 15) during London Fashion Week in London, England. This front row set was, of course, outfitted in all measures of the powerhouse British label for the big show.

Cara Delevingne: The model was front and centre—on the FROW instead of the runway—where she strutted out a sexy two-piece navy suit with multicoloured Burberry Prorsum sneakers and a contrasting plum Burberry Prorsum ‘Bee’ monogrammed bag, both fresh from the Spring 2015 collection. The unexpected mix of the skin-baring, bra-less plunge, worn with strands of necklaces, and the sporty appeal of the trainers delivers on Cara’s rebel edge. I can’t say that a part of me didn’t want to see the suit with a pair of heels, though. The matching red lip and red pocket square were amazing.

Kate Moss: Arm in arm with Cara, Kate belted on a sleek black trench over cropped black skinny pants, punctuating the look with teal-green heels, the Burberry Prorsum ‘Bloomsbury’ bag and cat-eye shades. This dynamic duo appear together in the current My Burberry fragrance campaign—talk about a perfect model match.

Marchesa Spring 2015 Front Row

Marchesa Spring 2015 Front Row

Celebrities gathered to celebrate red carpet queens Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, who returned home to London to showcase their Marchesa Spring 2015 collection on the 10th anniversary of the brand.

Jena Malone: The ‘Hunger Games’ actress was perched in the front row wearing a distinctive Marchesa frock in a rich teal hue, deconstructed to create a gorgeous kilt dress rendered with 3D mohair thistle embroidery. I love her complementary eye makeup, which further emboldened the look along with her gold sparkling Louboutins.

Rita Ora: The singer ditched the red lip in favour of a deep-berry hue for her part-glamorous, part-I’m-not-sure-what’s-up-with-that-hairstyle look. She wore a Marchesa Spring 2011 blush-pink draped chiffon one-shoulder jumpsuit with black tassels on the train. The hair is too harsh for the look, but you have to – on some level – admire her for keeping things varied and interesting. She was asked by a reporter to name her favourite Marchesa red carpet look; having worn Marchesa four times previously to the Elle Style Awards, the BBC Radio One Teen Awards, the 2013 Glamour Woman of the Year Awards, and the 2012 EMAs, she said that the red embroidery and taffeta gown from the EMAs was her favourite look. When asked by the journalist where she had worn the look, Rita appeared to go blank and say “Ummm…”, at which point I interjected by saying “the MTV Awards”, to which she looked up at me with some confusion, then turned to the journalist and replied “Yeah, the EMAs”.

Olivia Palermo In Witchery – The Chadstone Runway Fashion Show

Olivia Palermo In Witchery - The Chadstone Runway Fashion Show

Olivia Palermo was spotted at the Chadstone Runway Fashion Show in Melbourne, Australia on Thursday (August 28).

Looking very much like herself, the style-forward socialite magicked a black Witchery trench into a sophisticated dress, while adding a dash of the Midas touch with her Witchery multi-cord golden necklace and matching bracelet.

Never missing a beat when it comes to accessories, she ensure her metallic peep-toe sandals and small clutch continued the gold theme.

Seeing the lookbook and then Olivia, with her wispy updo, I love what’s she’s done with the trench, making it her own with her signature, relaxed-sleek edge.
