Burberry @ 2017 AMD British Academy Britannia Awards

Claire Foy was wearing Erdem at the 2017 AMD British Academy Britannia Awards on Friday (October 27) in Beverly Hills, California, but a trio of other starlets were paying homage to the British house of Burberry with their looks—although the three ensembles couldn’t have been more different if they tried.

Kate Mara: Kate took a seductive turn in this Burberry black sequin-embroidered Chantilly lace gown. Some may take issue with the nude lining, but I like how the actress delved into a slightly sultrier sense of glamour.

Olivia Cooke: What I most wish about this look consisting of a Burberry plaid riding shirt and tartan trousers was that it was more precisely tailored, as it would have translated in a far more polished manner, if so.

Sylvia Hoeks:
For the most part, Sylvia let the statement piece that was her Burberry black-and-white, beaded spots-and-stripes sequin jacket be front and centre. I do like the matching pumps, but I question the larger clutch—at least it was black.

Olivia Cooke In Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini – ‘Thoroughbreds’ London Film Festival Premiere

Presenting a striking mix of fabrics, Olivia Cooke attended the ‘Thoroughbreds’ London Film Festival premiere on Monday (October 9).

The English actress donned a Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Fall 2017 ensemble which juxtaposed a patent black dress with a romantic blouse. Crafted out of a diaphanous fabric, the ruffled collar and sleeves of the top completely changed the mood of the edgy shift.

Olivia continued to play up the softer elements of the look with her hair worn in an updo with face-framing pieces.

The black, pointed-toe pumps added a classic element to the look. Although, I think she could have pulled off the boots that were seen on the runway.

2017 Met Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Many more stars were at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Hailee Steinfeld: I love the deconstructed kimono edge of this Vera Wang design that was both playful and progressive. Hailee’s twisted top knot and winged eye liner likewise sold the look to me.

Dasha Zhukova
: Dasha softly echoed the theme with this red floral Proenza Schouler keyhole gown.

Olivia Cooke: Also wearing the colour of the night, Olivia donned a seductive red Burberry gown with boudoir lace that got creative in its asymmetry.

25th IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards Red Carpet Roundup

25th IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of those who joined Julianne Moore and Emmy Rossum for the 25th IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday (November 30) in New York City.

Rachel McAdams: The actress wore a tailored Noam Hanoch jumpsuit, cast with point d’esprit lace insets for a sensual touch.

Helen Mirren: The British actress has worn this Dolce & Gabbana dress a few times now. She could wear it 100 times, yet it won’t make me like that this scribble print design.

Sarah Paulson: By far my best dressed at this event, the actress was looking sleek and sexy wearing Cushine et Ochs Resort 2016 dress with cold-shoulder cut-outs lending a fiercely modern sensibility to this bold LBD.

Olivia Cooke In Gucci – ‘Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’ London Premiere

Olivia Cooke In Gucci - 'Me and Earl and the Dying Girl' London Premiere

Olivia Cooke attended premiere of ‘Me And Earl And The Dying Girl’ during Film4 Summer Screenings at Somerset House on Wednesday (August 19) in London, England.

The actress wore a Gucci Resort 2016 dress which takes on a number of feminine accents for an all-encompassing prim aesthetic.

While I much prefer the runway styling, the actress doesn’t do too badly herself with a Rauwolf clutch and Paula Cademartori sandals.

Olivia Cooke In Emilio Pucci & Marc Jacobs – 68th Locarno Film Festival

Olivia Cooke In Emilio Pucci & Marc Jacobs - 68th Locarno Film Festival

Olivia Cooke attended the 68th Locarno Film Festival over the weekend, where she was at the ‘Me And Earl And The Dying Girl’ photocall and premiere on Friday (August 14) in Locarno, Switzerland.

Photocall: First up, she wore an Emilio Pucci Fall 2015 ensemble with Malone Souliers ‘Savannah’ heels. She mixed the classic sophistication of a black-and-white colour palette with the sassy flair of the button shorts and strappy heels, but something still felt like it was missing. Or, perhaps the slight droopiness of the blouse was throwing me off.

Premiere: For her second look, she dialled up the dazzle factor in a hyper-embellished Marc Jacobs Resort 2015 frock that was reminiscent of a gemstone-studded disco ball. It’s hard to deny the shiny fun of the dress, but a bold lip would have helped balance out the added glitz of the high turtleneck.

Olivia Cooke In Valentino – ‘Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’ Pittsburgh Premiere

Olivia Cooke In Valentino - 'Me and Earl and the Dying Girl' Pittsburgh Premiere

Olivia Cooke attended the premiere of ‘Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’ at the AMC Waterfront Tuesday (June 16) in Pennsylvania.

Imbued with passion, her Valentino Pre-Fall 2015 heart patterned, point d’esprit frock was much preferred in the shorter style for the young actress.

I like how the black Corto Moltedo clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals gave this look an edge. Had she gone matchy matchy this look may have come off as too precious.
