Olga Kurylenko In Isabel Marant – Elle Style Awards 2014

Olga Kurylenko In Isabel Marant - Elle Style Awards 2014

After her dazzling turn at the 2014 BAFTAs Olga Kurylenko made a much edgier appearance on the red carpet of the Elle Style Awards, held at London’s One Embankment this evening (February 18).

Wearing a ruffled embellished Isabel Marant Spring 2014 dress, Olga made the unusual choice to opt for a 90s inspired high ponytail with shoulder-grazing chunky plait.

While the cut of the dress is beautiful and perfect for Olga’s frame, the bohemian inspired dress contrasts too greatly with the hair and her poor choice of nude Nicholas Kirkwood courts. Altogether I think this was a disappointing look from Olga who so often wows us with her elegance.

I think all of the elements of this look could work, but altogether they’re just not gelling What do you think?

Olga Kurylenko In Burberry – 2014 BAFTAs

Olga Kurylenko In Burberry - 2014 BAFTAsOlga Kurylenko dazzled at the 2014 BAFTAs, held on Sunday (February 16) at The Royal Opera House in London, England.

The actress and Bond girl took a slinky spin down the red carpet in a Burberry gown that brought the sultriness in spades with its black V-neck, plunge bodice and bandeau top.

The bow detail at the waist added a touch of sweetness, while the shimmering scales of the bronze-and-copper red skirt looked every bit inspired by a mermaid.

Sexy bombshell waves and barely-there makeup topped off the dramatic look with a light and fresh appeal.

Olga Kurylenko In Chanel – Charles Finch & Chanel Pre BAFTA Party

Olga Kurylenko In Chanel - Charles Finch & Chanel Pre BAFTA Party

Ukrainian-born actress Olga Kurylenko attended the Charles Finch and Chanel pre-BAFTA party at Annabel’s, London, yesterday evening (February 15).

Shying away from the ed carpet show-stoppers we have seen Olga wear earlier in the year, the star opted for a paired-back and very minimalistic little black Chanel dress which highlighted her enviably slender frame.

Demure and classic this look certainly is but I can’t help but feel underwhelmed by it.

The dress is timeless but there are so many other amazing Chanel archive pieces Olga could have worn.

The black pointed pumps and statement drop earring were simple and stylish but a bold cuff and much stronger shoe would have elevated this much more effectively. I also would have liked to see her fuss-free hair given a bit of extra gloss.

Olga Kurylenko In Christian Dior – ‘Vampire Academy’ LA Premiere

Olga Kurylenko In Christian Dior - 'Vampire Academy' LA Premiere

Olga Kurylenko joined Holland Roden, Zoey Deutch and Sarah Hyland on the red carpet for the premiere of ‘Vampire Academy’ held at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live on Tuesday (February 4) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress continues her love affair with Dior having been seated front row at the Spring 2014 Couture show last month.

On this occasion she wore a light-green matte silk-and-wool-crepe Dior layered dress with an extended neckline, which she styled with black Dior pumps.

Putting aside my dislike of the styling for one second, this dress should’ve been saved for Olivia Wilde, Kerry Washington or Ciara, because it screams maternity.

Gucci Host The Screening of James Franco’s Documentary Film ‘The Director’

Gucci Host The Screening of James Franco's Documentary Film 'The Director'

Gucci hosted a private screening of James Franco’s documentary film ‘The Director’ held at the Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris, France on Wednesday (January 22).

Florence Welch: The singer wore a Gucci Spring 2014 black silk-chiffon kaftan (no surprises there) featuring metallic-purple inserts and bronze-and-blue sequin embroidery, worn over a black silk blouse and sheer black palazzo pants. Gucci accessories including a black plexiglass clutch and black suede platform sandals complemented her look, with a rouge lip colour and a braided updo providing the finishing touches.

Miroslava Duma: The pint-sized fashionista wore a Gucci Resort 2014 liquid-gold lamé jacket with a matching tunic and loose-fitting trousers, with a pair of brown leather Gucci platform sandals which aren’t that visible due to the extraordinary length of her pants.

Joan Smalls: The stunning model, who has fronted many campaigns for the brand, wore a Gucci Spring 2014 black spaghetti-strap plunging wrap dress with the signature bralet style, adding a black Gucci clutch and a pair of Gucci python lamé-and-suede sandals.

Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture Front Row

Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture Front Row

There was as much beauty in the front row as there was on the runway on Wednesday afternoon for the Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture show held in Paris during Couture week.

Paz Vega: The Spanish actress, who has been spending a lot of time stateside, wore a very ladylike Elie Saab frock with lace inserts and a chic peplum waist. Styled with a complementary Elie Saab clutch, she gave her look a fall-like touch by adding burgundy pumps to her look.

Olga Kurylenko: Fellow red carpet regular Olga was also in the front row, opting for a flirtier look, donning a green lace-accented frock styled with matching Elie Saab sandals and the same gold Elie Saab clutch that I also own. A simple ponytail and a watermelon-pink lip colour completed her look.

Which pieces from Elie Saab’s Spring 2014 Couture collection would you like to see on these lovely ladies?

Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Front Row

Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Front Row

The Chanel Spring 2014 Couture show took place during Paris Fashion Week today in France. The front row attendees were treated to a show which looked like the designer had sought inspiration from his Spring 2009 Couture collection.

Tilda Swinton: The only person who really caught my eye in the front row was Tilda. The face of Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection opted for a Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 look, wearing a cashmere star-print sweater with a colourful fringed knit skirt, styled with an American flag scarf, knit tights and two-tone Chanel pumps. Coming from Scotland, she knows a thing or two about dressing for the current season.

Lily Allen: The Brit singer was also perched in the front row, opting for simple staples, jazzing up her look with a red-white-and-blue tweed coat, a colourful headpiece and a Chanel quilted shoulder bag. Adding yet more colour to her look, she opted for smoked blue eye makeup. Between Lupita Nyong’o, Keira Knightley and now Lily, I’m thinking I need to step up my eye-makeup game this season.

Olga Kurylenko: The actress went from temptress at Dior to quite pedestrian at Chanel. If it weren’t for the glossy red lips and those studded cuffs, I wouldn’t have even noticed this look.
