Get The Look: Odeya Rush’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event Hair & Makeup

CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event Hosted By Diane von Furstenberg, Reese Witherspoon, Mark Holgate, And Lisa LoveCelebrity hairstylist Cervando Maldonado and celebrity makeup artist Beau Nelson worked with the beautiful Odeya Rush for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event on Tuesday (October 21).

Cervando shares his inspiration: “The inspiration was a young, fresh look for Odeya. Simple and beautiful.”

Here’s how to get the look.

He began by prepping her damp hair with Kerastase Volumactive Mousse, using a golf-ball-sized amount and distributing it evenly throughout the hair. Next he applied Oscar Blandi Volumizing Spray throughout the roots.

Then he blow dried the hair, starting in the front of the head and working his way to the back, using an Ibiza Boar Bristle Brush and Harry Josh Blow-Dryer. He dried the hair so it was straight and smooth with a little movement.

Next he sectioned off the hair and began curling it with a T3 1.5 Inch Curling Iron, starting from the bottom of the head and working his way to the top, creating loose natural waves. He sprayed Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray through the hair, adding volume and texture, and used his fingers to comb out the curls into a more natural fashion. He also sprayed a bit of Sachajuan Super Strong Hairspray around the hairline and throughout the hairstyle to hold in place and add shine for a beautiful young, fresh look.

Odeya’s skin was kept minimal with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Sand and Clé de Peau Concealer in Ivory. Beau set the look with Charlotte Tilbury Pressed Compact Powder #1.

The eyes were kept fresh and bright with the two paler shades in the Tom Ford Nude Dip Eyeshadow Quad used wet all over the lid. Beau then curled the lashes and used YSL Baby Doll Mascara for definition and length.

On the cheeks he used Chanel Creme Blush in a pinky-coral shade to add a touch of subtle colour.

Lips were coated in a vibrant pink-red called Jealous by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.

Odeya Rush In Miu Miu – 2014 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event

Odeya Rush In Miu Miu - 2014 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Event

Odeya Rush attended the 2014 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event hosted by Reese Witherspoon and Diane von Furstenberg at Chateau Marmont on Tuesday (October 21) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress has had a lot of big red carpet moments despite her newbie status; here, I think for the first time, we see a more youthful look courtesy of Miu Miu.

Her sweetheart-neckline dress with a pleated skirt and contrasting seamed bodice has plenty of chic appeal, especially when styled with black Miu Miu sandals. She completed her look with a hot-pink lip colour and tousled tresses.

Odeya Rush In Christian Dior - 2014 Princess Grace Awards Gala

Odeya Rush attended the 2014 Princess Grace Awards Gala held at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Wednesday (October 8) in Beverly Hills, California.

As you know, I have pretty much had a style crush on Odeya from day one, and once again she picked me up and swept me off my feet wearing a Dior grey silk, leather and satin dress with a delicate sequined bodice.

What I love about this look is that she makes it fun and feminine; from the pouf skirt to the complementary embellished Jimmy Choo ‘Tia’ pumps, this is a fairytale dress come true.

As if the embellished neckline and shoes weren’t enough, Odeya’s look was awash with Dior Fine Jewelry including the ‘Pluie D’été’ white gold, diamonds, pink tourmalines, pink sapphires and amethysts earrings and a ‘Bois de Rose’ white gold and diamonds ring.

Still very much in contention for Best Newcomer of the Year.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 Front Row

Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 Front Row

Louis Vuitton presented their Spring 2015 collection during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday (October 1) to a mix of LV devotees and some new fans they have picked up along the way.

Jennifer Connelly: I was going to call Jennifer Connelly Nicolas Ghesquière’s biggest fan, but Charlotte Gainsbourg would dispute that. The actress selected an LV Resort 2015 black suit with red seams which on most I don’t think I would buy, mostly due to the leather neckline, but Jennifer sells the look to me with her confident pose and the elegance which oozes from every pore.

Charlotte Gainsbourg: The French beauty always nails it, this time working a Resort 2015 biker chic look which as always looks effortless. Even though I really dislike those front-zipper trousers, like Jennifer, Charlotte managed to sell this look to me in its entirety.

Michelle Williams: While Jennifer and Charlotte wear LV religiously, Michelle, who is the face of Louis Vuitton’s desirable bags for a third season, often wears the brand, selecting the easier pieces for her red carpet look. I found myself loving this sportier look from Michelle. The look feels fresh and effortless without compromising her style or the brand’s ethos.

Odeya Rush In Paper London - Despierta America

Odeya Rush made a guest appearance on ‘Despierta America’ on Thursday (August 14), which is taped at Univision Headquarters in Miami, Florida, where she continued to promote her new film, ‘The Giver’.

After giving us so many pretty looks since her red carpet debut, she opted for something more youthful on this occasion, donning a Paper London Resort 2015 dress resembling two separate pieces featuring colour-blocking, layers of contrasting materials, and a draped panel.

Styled with navy satin Charlotte Olympia pumps, plus a Borgioni spike handcuff bracelet and spike stud earrings, she completed her look with a slicked-back ponytail.
