Modish mom Nicole Richie was also at the 2nd Annual Baby2Baby Gala, where she joined Drew Barrymore at The Book Bindery in Culver City, California yesterday night.
Working an Alberta Ferretti Spring 2014 ensemble, Nicole stood out from the pack with her embrace of this carefree collection’s more folkloric side of fashion.
It’s not hard to find the designer’s South American-influenced inspiration in the colourful, floral trimmings on the white apron-like crop top and the high-waisted, full skirt that was punched with ribbons of hot orange and bold blue shades. They were joyous pieces that alighted the red carpet.
With such a strong statement, it could have easily overwhelmed Nicole’s petite frame. So, she accounted for the complexity of her look by simplifying her styling, only wearing a few stacks of rings and a black clutch.
The less-is-more approach also continued to her hair, which was slicked back into a low ‘do, and her barely-there, nude-toned makeup.
