Who Wore Winter Kate Better? Nicole Richie or Ellen Pompeo

Nicole Richie was decked out in a gold sequin Winter Kate ‘Nicole’ long sleeved dress with a cowl back to ring in 2010 at Tao in Las Vegas.

The star added black tights and YSL pumps to her self designed look to celebrate the New Year with Christina Aguilera and Eva Longoria in Sin City.

A year later in Las Vegas, Ellen Pompeo wore the same dress also with black tights and black pumps to attend the grand opening of the Marquee Nightclub In The Cosmopolitan.

It’s uncanny how they style the look in exactly the same way.

Nicole wins for me as I prefer her hairstyle.

Also the dress suits her better and doesn’t come off looking like a potato sack. The same can not be said for Ellen.

2010 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists Celebration – Nicole Richie In Missoni

Nicole Richie arrived at the 2010 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists Celebration sporting a shorter, lighter hairdo.

The mother-of-two wore a Missoni Resort 2011 maxi dress with a mind-bending print.

At the event all everyone was interested in was why she decided to go for the chop.

She told Us Weekly, “I don’t know, but I liked it, I really want to cut it shorter.”

We’ve seen Nicole with shorter hair before, but I just love how choppy this style is.

With the new hair and new make-up I’ll be honest and say I almost didn’t recognise her.

Nicole Richie’s Ground Hog Day

Yesterday Nicole Richie arrived at traffic school classes in LA wearing the exact same outfit she had worn twice before to the same location.

She wore ray ban aviator sunglasses, a Hudson denim jacket, a floral print dress, black tights and Balenciaga bag.

I used to love play spot the difference.

The differences I spotted were that her scarf is tied differently and her jacket is button different in all 3 pictures.

Her bag is carried on the opposite arm in the last 2 pictures. Her hair is lighter – but that could just be the sun – and she’s carrying a coffee in the last picture.

Can you spot any other differences?

2010 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards – Nicole Richie In Winter Kate

Best Dressed Award
Earlier I spoke of how Rachel Stevens has come a long way. Well Nicole Richie has come even further.

She was known as the sidekick to Paris Hilton, sporty tacky blonde hair extensions now the mother of 2 is being recognised for more important achievements.

Last night at the 2010 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards she was named “Entrepreneur of the Year” for her Winter Kate clothing line, and her House Of Harlow 1960 accessories collection.

She looked divine wearing a Winter Kate peach strapless silk dress which gave her a dewy glow.

The dress is simple in design, but both the colour and style suit her so perfectly plus it’s refreshing that she didn’t opt for a boho look.

I also loved her hairstyle.

Perfect 10.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala – Nicole Richie In Marc Jacobs

Nicole Richie sparkled on the red carpet at the Costume Institute Gala last night.

She ditched the boho style she’s famed for to wear this fabulous metallic Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 dress.

The silver dress is accented with a black velvet sash tied to waist.

I’m loving the smoky make-up and the fabulous volume in her hair.

The look was paired with an equally dazzling black clutch.

“Africa Outreach Project Dinner” – Nicole Richie In Christian Dior

Does anyone else have the urge to say, “Stop. Hammer time?”

Nicole Richie wore this ivory satin Christian Dior Fall 2009 jumpsuit with spaghetti straps to “Africa Outreach Project Dinner” this week.

Although I’m not crazy about this look, I don’t hate it either.

I think I would’ve liked this look more if Nicole had worn this look with a bejeweled belt, or a large statement necklace.

The look feels a tad bare despite the gold clutch.

Thoughts?
