Tom Ford Fall 2015 Front Row

Tom Ford Fall 2015 Front Row

While some editors and models were headed to London for round two of fashion month, Anna Wintour, Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls headed west for the Tom Ford Fall 2015 show which was showcased in LA on Friday (February 20).

The result, a packed A-List front row of which nineteen looks have been featured.

With the Oscars on Sunday and with everyone in town, it was quite a master-stroke to host the show in LA this weekend.

TOM’S FAVOURITES
Julianne Moore: The actress was no doubt top of the guest list working a Spring 2015 green ensemble festooned with feathers, sequins and camo print. I would not bet against Julianne wearing Tom Ford on Sunday despite the Givenchy run up.

Gwyneth Paltrow: I expected a bit more from Gwynie. This cold shoulder Pre-Fall 2015 LBD feels a bit been there done that and boring for such an occasion.

The Carters: He was looking mighty dapper in a signature wide lapel suit, while she was looking bootylicious in a typically sheer embellished Spring 2014 creation.

The DAILY FRONT ROW ‘Fashion Los Angeles Awards’ Red Carpet Roundup

The DAILY FRONT ROW Fashion Los Angeles Awards

Here is a quick roundup from The DAILY FRONT ROW ‘Fashion Los Angeles Awards’ Show held at Sunset Tower on Thursday (January 22) in West Hollywood, California.

Kerry Washington: The ‘Scandal’ star wore a black, white and grey look that was distinctly lacking in flavour. Let’s pray this lull doesn’t continue much longer as her usual three-pointers are turning into air balls.

Gigi Hadid: Presented with the Model of the Year award, the blonde beauty kept her look simple wearing a watermelon-hued one-shoulder Calvin Klein fitted dress, which hugged in all the right places.

Minka Kelly: The actress, who usually works minimalist looks in simple silhouettes, donned a Herve Leger multicoloured textural flared frock with studded details. Sadly, for me this doesn’t work. It’s not really suited to her style and it’s giving her quarterback shoulders.

The PEOPLE Magazine Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The PEOPLE Magazine Awards

Here is a roundup of the other attendees who took to the red carpet for the PEOPLE Magazine Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday (December 18) in Beverly Hills, California.

Jennifer Aniston: Still not able to fully break away from her favourite colour black, the actress collected her ‘Movie Performance of the Year’ award for ‘Horrible Bosses 2′ wearing a black and white fit-and-flare Fausto Puglisi Spring 2015 dress. The silhouette may be different, but why does everything feel the same?

Karlie Kloss: The catwalker took home the ‘Model of the Year’ award looking very beautiful and statuesque wearing a sexy Zac Posen bustier and laser-cut pony-skin Marchesa skirt styled with sexy Giuseppe Zanotti Design criss-cross strap sandals and a signature Marchesa clutch.

Kate Upton: The model picked up ‘PEOPLE’s Sexist Woman’ award wearing an all-black all-leather look, selecting a Tamara Mellon bodysuit and a Thomas Wylde ‘Topsy Turvy’ skirt styled with Brian Atwood satin ‘Besame’ pumps and a vintage corseted belt from The Way We Wore. While my mind boggles at how uncomfortable a leather bodysuit must be, this isn’t such a bad look for Kate.

Nicole Richie In Vera Wang – 2014 Fashion Footwear Association Of New York Awards

Nicole Richie In Vera Wang - 2014 Fashion Footwear Association Of New York Awards

Nicole Richie attended the 2014 Fashion Footwear Association Of New York Awards held at IAC Building on Wednesday (December 3) in New York City.

We haven’t been too excited about the recent flurry of looks from Nicole Richie, but this Vera Wang Spring 2015 is most certainly a step back in the right direction with this dark yet romantic look.

The navy floral- and dot-print silk gauze camisole apron slip with brown pleated tulle petticoat was styled with a green lacquered Rodo clutch.

I love how the floral print injects vibrancy while the dots add playful appeal. I hope going forward Nicole can find the right balance between being chic and current without losing her fashion-forward edge.

Nicole Richie In Marchesa – GILT Celebrate The Launch Of The House Of Harlow 1960 Home Fragrance Collection

Nicole Richie In Marchesa - GILT Celebrate The Launch Of The House Of Harlow 1960 Home Fragrance Collection

Gilt celebrated the launch of Nicole Richie’s House of Harlow 1960 home fragrance collection at the Chateau Marmont on Tuesday (November 18) in West Hollywood, California.

Nicole wore a Marchesa Fall 2014 black 3D thistle and lace embroidered long-sleeved top paired with a saffron-gold silk crepe draped skirt.

Dark, dramatic and bewitching. While I like the top, the skirt looks a bit confused, failing to drape with the same finesse we saw on the runway. It almost looks like the skirt got caught in her underwear, I hate to say.

I’m sure it’s no coincidence that the colours of her look are the same colours as her candle collection.

Nicole Richie In H&M and Tadashi Shoji – 2014 Baby2Baby Gala

Nicole Richie In H&M and Tadashi Shoji - 2014 Baby2Baby Gala

Nicole Richie attended the 2014 Baby2Baby Gala held at The Book Bindery on Saturday (November 8) in Culver City, California.

The designer wore a white high-neck body-con H&M dress which was given a boost via her Tadashi Shoji Spring 2015 floor-length white corded-lace cape.

It’s the season of the cape so this look couldn’t be more on-trend, so I can’t help but be disappointed by the glaringly ill-fitting bra which is putting me off this look.

White Louboutins, smouldering eye makeup and Jennifer Meyer earrings provided the finishing touches.
