Nicole Kidman In Chanel – amfAR Gala Cannes

Nicole Kidman has been on a chic streak of BDOTW success at the Cannes Film Festival, so my hopes were high for her entrance at the amfAR Gala Cannes on Thursday (May 25).

While she did take us on a flight of fancy in a Chanel Couture Pre-Fall 2017 gown that didn’t skimp on the feathered frou, this heavier look won’t rank as one of my top picks for her at Cannes.

With the sharply bold shoulder, the dress featured an intense silhouette that walked a line of darker mystere than her previous looks. That’s perfectly fine, but not when styled with such a severe bun that led to an ageing effect.

The pink belt did help lighten the mood, with Harry Winston jewels rounding out the look.

Nicole Kidman In Alexander McQueen – ‘The Beguiled’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Nicole Kidman joined Elle Fanning on the red carpet for ‘The Beguiled’ photocall during Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 24).

Also wearing a look from the Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2017 collection, her dress epitomized romanticism of the brand.

I love how the corset-like bodice reveals a hint of sultry while the grommet belt add an slight edge.

I can’t say that I love the shoes here, but this is still another awe-inspiring look from Nicole.

Nicole Kidman In Versace – ‘Top Of The Lake: China Girl’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Officially Nicole Kidman arrived at Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, but fashion wise she arrived yesterday, and I was delighted to see the magic of Monday carry on to this afternoon (May 23) for the ‘Top Of The Lake: China Girl’ photocall.

Oozing the kind of day time glamour I can fully get on board with on a Tuesday afternoon, the queen reigned supreme in Versace.

Possessing hints of sex appeal via the cold shoulder and sultry slit, this draped silhouette is filled with modern flair while exuding feminine charm.

Christian Louboutin ‘Harler’ pumps completed her look.

Nicole Kidman In Calvin Klein By Appointment – ‘The Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Nicole Kidman’s Calvin Klein By Appointment look for ‘The Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening (May 22) isn’t one we will forget in a hurry; and that’s what it’s all about.

The black bustier and white tulle skirt flouncing a ballet tutu-inspired silhouette, designed by Raf Simons, is the stuff fashion dreams are made of.

Romance really took centre stage this evening, and the carried through to the flawless makeup and feather accents in her hair.

As not to make the look to prissy, Calvin Klein 205W39NYC black patent leather high heeled deco pumps aimed to toughen up the look, with Harry Winston Diamonds providing the finishing touch.

I have a feeling this will be marmite dress of Cannes.

So do you love it or hate it?

Nicole Kidman In Christian Dior Couture – ‘The Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

I was breathing a sigh of relief upon seeing Nicole Kidman wearing Dior Couture to ‘The Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ Cannes Film Festival photocall this afternoon (May 22) after yesterdays underwhelming outing.

I love the playful silhouette of this Spring 2017 Couture dress, the colours are complimentary to her skintone and I was also intrigued by the raffia, thread and bead embroideries which looks like grass and moss which fits into Maria Grazia Chiuri’s naturalism fantasy of couture.

Nicole’s metallic green Dior sandals worked well, but the cuff was one accessory too much for me.

This has me very optimistic about tonight’s premiere.

Nicole Kidman In Rodarte – ‘How To Talk To Girls At Parties’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Having skipped the photocall, Nicole Kidman made her first appearance on the red carpet for the ‘How To Talk To Girls At Parties’ premiere during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival this afternoon (May 21).

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for; and if you are anything like you are bitterly disappointed by this Rodarte Fall 2017 offering.

Even with all the embellishment this whole look reads grannyish to me.

My exact reaction was, “Oh dear god no”, especially after what’s been an amazing 2017 for Nicole on the red carpet.

The proportions are all wrong, therefore this blouse looks like a crop top.

Thankfully Nicole has several more projects to promote during this festival, and therefore time to turn this around.
