Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Nicola Roberts from UK girl group, Girls Aloud wore this emerald green Issa silk jersey gown to the Make-A-Wish Winter Ball in London last year.

She looked sensational pairing her dress with a gold necklace and a silver Alexander McQueen clutch with a gold skull clasp.

Nearly exactly a year on actress Rose McGowan wore the same dress to “The Artist’s Museum Happening” MOCA Los Angeles Gala this weekend.

She too looked amazing in the dress.

I think the dress works so well against their pale skin tones.

Rose’s added Tresor turquoise drop earrings and matching Ippolita bangles.

I’ve always loved Nicola’s style and as much as I want to give this to her, Rose’s accessories blew me away with this look so she wins for me.

The 2010 Pride Of Britain Awards took place in London last night with a whole host of gorgeous UK stars in attendance.

Only 4 of stars of Girls Aloud took to the red carpet.

I guess Nadine “I think I’m better than Cheryl Cole, yet only sold 117 units of my song” Coyle was too red faced to show up.

Cheryl Cole continues to be in mourning wearing a black Helmut Lang crepe cutout maxi dress with a thigh-high split and Jimmy Choo heels.

Her bandmate Nicola Robert proved why she’s the UK’s ‘Fashionista of the Year’ arriving wearing a William Tempest Spring 2011 dress.

The nude ‘siren devore’ dress with sleeves was paired with clear glitter ankle strap heels and a black clutch.

Dannii Minogue was also the other star who stood out on this red carpet wearing a self designed strapless pleated dress from her Project D collection.

The dress is gorgeous, but that Mawi statement necklace is divine.

A Stephen Webster ring and Tabitha clutch complete her look.

Kelly Brook maybe wearing a gorgeous pink dress, but she’s totally lost her mojo. She no longer wows me like she used to.

Where’s the glamour Kell?

Coleen Rooney left her ‘two-timing Shrek faced’ husband at home to shine on the red carpet wearing a simple LBD from Littlewoods.

She punched up her look with Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly leopard print pumps and a matching Louboutin clutch.

Kimberly Walsh looked stunning in a coral Issa strapless silk-crepe gown.

I don’t really care for Sarah Harding nor her nude lace dress.

I could’ve got on-board with Emma Bunton’s cape look had she ditched the gloves.

Patsy Kensit got my glamour memo by wearing a sexy strapless Dolce & Gabbana mermaid gown.

Nicola Roberts from UK girl group Girls Aloud can often be found front row during London Fashion Week picking her next red carpet look.

This season she was front row at TopShop Unique, Bernard Chandran, House of Holland, Fashion Fringe and Bodyamr.

At the Cosmopolitan’s Ultimate Women Of The Year Awards in London last night she was honoured with the ‘Fashionista of the Year’ Award.

For me she didn’t have much competition as she is the most fearless star on the red carpet in the UK.

She didn’t let herself down when she collected her award wearing a Bodyamr Spring 2011 dress.

Her green leopard print dress with a dove grey chiffon skirt is nothing like anything we’ve seen on the red carpet in a long while.

Bravo to Nicole for continuing to be so bold.

Nicole Richie also attended the opening of The Lynda & Stewart Resnick Exhibition Gala held in LA at the LACMA.

She opted for a dramatic Marchesa Fall 2009 gown.

The black and white tulle gown with a wired edged embroidered detail is stunning, but I don’t think it works on Nicole.

I personally think she’s too short for this dress, as I prefer the length on the model.

I also think the dress has lost some of it’s puffiness.

Sorry but this gets a big thumbs down from me.

With Fall pieces hitting stores, it lovely to have a new colour palette in your closet, especially if Autumn appears to be coming early.

Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts was spotted leaving the GMTV studio’s yesterday after her appearance on the morning show wearing an aviator jacket with aviator sunglasses.

Yes it’s cold in London, but not that cold.

I guess Nicola couldn’t wait to jump on the trend, which I’m sure we’ll see plenty of as the temperatures continue to plummet.

The leader of this trend on the runway was Burberry, but we also saw aviator jackets presented by DKNY, Francesco Scognamiglio, Adam, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Julien Macdonald.

Amelia Earhart ‘Queen of the Sky’ was no doubt the inspiration behind this trend.

This trend doesn’t come cheap. An aviator jacket from Topshop cost £395 and it still sold out.

Luisa via Roma have the best and most authentic looking pieces.

They include a 3.1 Phillip Lim paneled shearling leather jacket, a Francesco Scognamiglio leather shearling jacket and a Burberry Prorsum shearling aviator leather jacket.

Jump on this trend quickly, because like I said it’s already selling out.

Nicola Roberts was spotted leaving her hotel in London looking very summery as she headed out to dinner with her mum and sister last night.

Whilst her companions wore black, she stood out wearing a colourful Vivienne Westwood taffeta check Sunday Bale dress.

The Girls Aloud singer paired her dress with Chanel embellished t-bar heels and a black quilted Chanel purse.

I love the look, but wish the accessories were as colourful as the dress.
