89th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

More stars were also in the mix at the 89th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon, hosted on Monday (February 6) in Beverly Hills.

Viola Davis: A simple sheath dress took on bold new meaning with this Bottega Veneta geometric design. I love how Viola skipped plain black pumps in favour of a pair with pale-pink detailing.

Laura Dern: The dark mustard-y hue of this Roksanda gown is not an easy one to wear—nor is the satin material. With two strikes against the dress, perhaps a vibrant lip colour would have helped.

Natalie Portman In Proenza Schouler – Jimmy Kimmel Live

Natalie Portman was spotted headed to a studio in LA on Monday (January 30) for a guest appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel’ Live to promote her latest movie, ‘Jackie’.

The actress’ maternity style has consisted of mostly shapeless pieces aimed at concealing her bump, so I was surprised to see her select such a radical choice on this occasion.

Some might say there is too much going on with this Proenza Schouler Spring 2017 dress with it dual-colour and three tiers, but I find this really refreshing as it actually has some shape to it plus it’s quite playful.

Maternity style doesn’t have to mean tent-like dresses.

The look was styled with a Dior ‘Diorama’ bag.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture – 2017 SAG Awards

Natalie Portman hit the red carpet at the 2017 SAG Awards in LA on Sunday (January 29).

The pregnant actress wore an ivory Christian Dior Spring 2017 couture gown with gorgeous diamond Tiffany & Co. jewels.

While I am typically a huge proponent for wearing non-maternity clothes when you’re pregnant, I’m afraid I just can’t love this dress on Natalie. She has had to size it up so large to fit her burgeoning belly that she simply looks like she’s wearing a sack with cool sleeves.

However, from the neck up, Natalie is perfection. Her textured updo is graceful and elegant and her mauve smokey eyes, pink cheeks and lips are gorgeous.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior – 2017 Golden Globe Awards

Natalie Portman joined the list of nominees at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 8) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.

The ‘Jackie’ actress has been receiving much praise for her uncanny resemblance to Jackie Kennedy in the biopic. And, she was certainly in a Jackie O mood for the Globes, as it was clear that she was channeling the style icon on the red carpet—even with her maternity look.

Opting to not wear her go-to designer, Christian Dior, she instead donned a canary-yellow Prada long-sleeve gown that brought a sense of ’60s-influenced vintage elegance. The jewels played beautifully with the jewel-encrusted detailing on the dress.

Even Natalie’s teased bouffant-inspired ’do reflected the retro mood.

2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala

The 28th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala was held at the Palm Springs Convention Center on January 2, 2017 in Palm Springs, California, where a host of stars got the year started in style.

Kirsten Dunst: The actress glistening wearing a custom Ralph & Russo Couture gown, however, I had a craving for something to really make this look pop more—even brushing her hair back might have done the job to show off those statement earrings.

Ruth Negga: A newcomer on the scene, Ruth Negga had a princess moment in her whimsically embroidered Valentino Spring 2017 gown, which featured a fanciful innocence despite the sheer transparency factor.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture – Opening Season Paris Opera Ballet Party

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture - Opening Season Paris Opera Ballet Party

Natalie Portman attended the Opening Season Paris Opera Ballet Party on Thursday (24 September) in Paris, France.

When it come to Natalie’s Christian Dior selections, I think it’s fair to say that she steers down a known and safe path, so imagine my delight to see her wearing this Spring 2015 Couture two piece dress.

It’s such a bold, colourful choice which is both captivating and decidedly modern.

I’m sure you’ll remember that Marion Cotillard wore a similar look from said collection which many of you liken to a shuttlecock.

On this occasion both the dress and styling is far superior in my opinion, what say you?
