RTS Programme Awards Red Carpet Round Up

RTS Programme Awards Red Carpet Round Up

The RTS (Royal Television Society) Programme Awards took place at Grosvenor House in London yesterday evening. They span all genres of television programming, from soaps to history, children’s fiction to comedy performance, recognising exceptional actors, presenters, writers and production teams as well as the programmes themselves.

Anna Shaffer: Anna stood out for obvious reasons: not because she was bang on trend wearing black-and-white, but more because her Osman Yousefzada colour-block dress with split sleeves is very similar to the jumpsuit Beyonce Knowles wore to the 2013 Grammy Awards. Styling the look with side-swept glossy locks and black accessories, she added a touch of glamour via her red lip colour.

Kym Marsh: At first I thought the Coronation Street actress was wearing a Herve Leger gown, but her fitted bandage dress with a chiffon train was designed by Elle Luna. Always one to stand out on a red carpet, she completed her look with a swept-up bouffant and dramatic kohl-rimmed eyes.

Natalie Gumede: The talented Coronation Street actress wore a very familiar Issa gown, featuring the signature twist front and plunging neckline. The colour is heavenly against her skin tone and I love the addition of a gold clutch, but as always I have hair envy.

Jenni Falconer: The TV presenter, who hasn’t changed her hairstyle in over 10 years, wore a Tabitha Webb LBD with an asymmetrical neckline. The red waistband matched the red lining of the dress, and Jenni added more red to her look via her satin clutch and nail polish. Black sequinned pumps completed her look. You may remember that Miranda Kerr wore this same dress in yellow earlier this year.

The TRIC Awards Red Carpet Round Up

The TRIC Awards Red Carpet Round Up

The TRIC (Television and Radio Industries Club) Awards took place in London yesterday afternoon, with TV and Radio personalities taking to the red carpet at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London for the annual event. Here are the rest of the notables from the event.

Laura Whitmore: The Irish TV presenter was easily my favourite at the event. She was looking sharp, wearing a Gerard Darel silver shantung tailored suit with a notched collar detail and matching cigarette pants. The white cropped tee gives the look a fresh summery feel, with a selection of silver bracelets, grey sandals and a pop of colour via a red clutch completing her look. You can see the back of Ashley Roberts’ Antipodium dress in this picture

Michelle Keegan: Usually one of my favourites on the red carpet, the Coronation Street actress looked rather matronly wearing this navy dress with a velvet collar and detailed waist by The Pretty Dress Company. While it is a pretty dress, she should’ve considered something that didn’t age her so drastically.

Natalie Gumede: The Coronation Street star wore another McQueen look, this time from the McQ Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Her McQ butterfly camo-print body-con dress was styled with bright-blue pumps and a skull-accented fold-over clutch. As much as I love her look, especially those pumps, I can’t help having major hair envy.

Who Wore Alexander McQueen Better…Emily Blunt, Kim Marsh or Natalie Gumede?

Who Wore Alexander McQueen Better

Last night, the cream of the crop of British talent gathered at the O2 Arena in London to celebrate the 2013 Television Awards.

‘Coronation Street’ stars Kim Marsh and Natalie Gumede clearly had the same glamorous vision in mind when they selected to wear this Alexander McQueen Resort 2013 gown, which was first worn by Emily Blunt to the 2012 Harper’s Bazaar Woman of the Year Awards back in November last year.

Thankfully for Kim and Natalie, it was a case of same dress, different colour, as I’m sure they were seated in close proximity at the event.

Emily’s version not only stands out because she selected a vibrant orange colour, but her gown also has a multi-coloured crystal-accented neckline.

Kim usually makes some shocking decisions on the red carpet, so I love that she made an effort to scrub up well on this occasion.

Natalie was both stylish and warm having added a white fur stole to her look, amping up the glamour with a complementary silver sparkling clutch.

As a lover of colour, Emily wins for me, with Natalie’s old-Hollywood glamorous look coming in a close second.
