Charlize Theron In Dior Couture - 2014 Met Gala

Charlize Theron looks fabulous on the red carpet of the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The beautiful actress rocked a Dior Couture gown with a chic tuxedo jacket thrown effortlessly over her shoulders. She added an extra feminine touch to her monochrome ensemble with dazzling Fred Leighton jewels.

Her signature swept-back blonde hair added to the crazy cool vibe this look gives off. Charlize’s subtly sexy makeup provided just the right touch.

I love when a woman takes a risk with menswear, and still holds onto their femininity. Her look is so refreshing at an event like this. She does no wrong in my book! Do you agree?

Kate Bosworth In Stella McCartney - 2014 Met Gala

Kate Bosworth is pretty in pink on the 2014 Met Gala red carpet on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The actress wore Stella McCartney and added a dazzling effect with some seriously sparkly accessories.

Kate really pulls off the sophisticated shape of this slinky dress. I love that she wasn’t afraid to accessorize to really amp things up.

Her dewy skin, rosy cheeks and slick hair are incredibly elegant.

I love this choice for Kate. Do you also think she looks radiant?

Beyonce Knowles In Givenchy Couture - 2014 Met Gala

Beyoncé turns heads on the red carpet of the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

She looks fierce in a black beaded Givenchy Couture number with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

There is no doubt that Queen B always looks fabulous, and this is no exception. She stood out in this seriously sexy number and adds a unique touch with the veil.

The detail on this dress is simply captivating and so is her bold burgundy lip, accented by a subtle gold shimmer around her eyes.

Beyoncé can do no wrong in my opinion. She certainly sets herself apart from the crowd, but still is on target for the theme and nature of the gala. What do you think?

"Charles James: Beyond Fashion" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Kate Mara makes a bold choice on the red carpet of the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The actress wore a uniquely printed Valentino Couture Spring 2014 gown with a sheer neckline and sleeves.

I am drawn in by this ensemble, but at closer look I can’t say that I love it. I always appreciate a risk, but this one doesn’t quite do it for me. The silhouette of the dress is stunning, but the combination of texture, pattern and color prevent me from embracing it.

There is no doubt that the gown is a work of art. The detail is breathtaking and the cape on the back is a very cool addition.

Although I don’t love the color, I do like how Mara’s tousled platinum blonde waves and shimmery makeup look with it. I wish I wasn’t so torn about this look. How do you feel about it?

Margot robbie in prada met gala 2014

Margot Robbie was at the red carpet for the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ star wore a Prada custom designed powder blue silk organza tee-length dress. The transparent top, which overlays a satin bralette, featured a high ruffle neckline and geometric mirror embroidery. The skirt is enriched with large black plexi plates.

She complemented the look with grey satin ankle strap pumps and a black satin clutch with a jeweled closure, all by Prada.

Robbie styled her brunette hair in a sleek updo and as always, her makeup was flawless.

Now, obviously she took a fashion risk. And I will say that if you’re going to take a fashion risk, you take it with Prada. But no, I just can’t get myself to make sense of that dress. Sorry!

Marion Cotillard In Christian Dior Couture - 2014 Met Gala

Marion Cotillard is stunning on the red carpet for the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The gorgeous actress wore Dior Spring 2014 Couture with Dior Couture shoes.

The intricate navy dress fits Marion flawlessly. The low cut is balanced out with a lovely full tea length skirt, drawing attention to her quirky shoe choice. I am not crazy about these, but for a style innovator like Marion, she pulls them off.

This elegantly simple look is tied together with a glossy red lip and a sideswept updo.

Marion is such a class act and never settles for simple on the red carpet, which I admire about her. Although she looks lovely, I would’ve been more excited to see her in something dramatic and memorable. This would’ve been better off at a movie premiere and not at this event. What do you think?
