TimesTalks Series Presents ‘The Glass Castle’ with Brie Larson in Cinq à Sept & Naomi Watts in Zac Posen

Brie Larson and Naomi Watts joined writer Jeannette Walls, and director Destin Daniel Cretton for the TimesTalks Series presentation of ‘The Glass Castle’ on Tuesday (August 8) in New York City.

Brie Larson: Feminine, flirty, and a little bit sexy; that’s how I would describe her Cinq à Sept Fall 2017 form fitting frock. What I like most about this look is the pleated hi-low hemline which adds a flourish of vitality which makes me what to shout, “olé”. Christian Louboutin ‘Jonatina’ sandals completed her look.

Naomi Watts: Combining modern style with effortless wear, Naomi wore a Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2017 fit and flare frock which oozed plenty of day time chic appeal. However, I did find that her red Christian Loubotuin ‘Mistiroir’ patent pumps upstage her dress as they instilled a kooky retro flavour to the look.

Comic-Con 2017 Weekend Roundup

A constellation of more stars were at Comic-Con 2017 in San Diego, California throughout this past weekend.

Naomi Watts: Attending the ‘Twin Peaks: A Damn Good Panel,’ Naomi played to a vintage spirit in this Roksanda Resort 2018 colour-block design. Perhaps it was the combination of hues that had somewhat of an aging effect on her.

Krysten Ritter: Taking a graphic, black-and-white approach, Krysten was at ‘Marvel’s The Defenders’ press line in a Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2017 dress. I love the striking attitude of the look in partnership with her ruby-red lip and Kurt Geiger booties for a touch of rebel edge.

Kaley Cuoco: This exploded Alice + Olivia Resort 2018 pinstripe shirt dress translated more like an afterthought with the slouchy, undone front and the head-scratching, chunky shoes when Kaley stopped by ‘The Big Bang Theory’ panel.

Front Row @ Armani Prive Fall 2017

A trio of lovelies turned out for the Armani Prive Fall 2017 show as part of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (July 4), each representing a monochromatic Armani look.

Naomi Watts: While I loved the crisp structure of Naomi’s blazer, it lost some of its appeal against the exploded-floral-embroidered dress. The flared length of the frock felt awkward, but it was perhaps the nude shoe colour that was the most distracting miss.

Kate Winslet: The sparkling embellishment at the shoulder and waist of this LBD is what sold it to me—that, and how effortlessly Kate wore it. A sandal would have been preferred, though, to her Rupert Sanderson pumps.

Priyanka Chopra: Methinks the high-low hemline of this white frock ventured a bit too high. Nor did the diamond earrings mixed with the dress’s sportier drawstring detailing and black, lace-up shoes really come together.

What do you make of these three looks?

Naomi Watts In Zac Posen & Valentino – Build Series Presents: ‘Gypsy’ & The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Naomi Watts was busy promoting her new Netflix series ‘Gypsy’ on Thursday (June 29.)

After stopping off at the Build Studios to chat about her new project, the actress hot footed it to ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ in New York City, before the premiere later that evening.

Build Presents: ‘Gypsy’: Naomi made sure all eyes were on her in a bold purple Zac Posen Fall 2017 dress which looked particularly striking against her porcelain skin. The summery sleeves and floaty fabric feel feminine and pretty. I love how the metallic platform heels and oversized sunglasses are injecting some energy into look.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert: Switching her casual, retro daytime aesthetic to glamorous evening wear, Naomi stepped out in a Valentino Fall 2017 dress.  There’s a romantic feel to this look which is emphasized by the beautiful red and pink flower appliques. The silhouette and black backdrop, however, stop this look from being overly feminine and sweet. I particularly love the ‘Wolf’ clutch by celebrity favourite, Edie Parker, which adds a new dimension to this gorgeous look.

Naomi Watts In Erdem, Lela Rose, Chloe & Prabal Gurung – ‘The Book Of Henry’ Promotion

While many are at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, Naomi Watts has been on the New York City promo circuit for ‘The Book Of Henry,’ making four stops over the course of Wednesday (May 17) and Thursday (May 18).

The Today Show: Her Erdem floral-printed frock may have been from the Fall 2017 collection, but it had all the fresh lightness of the season, especially when styled with white-rimmed Linda Farrow shades, Jennifer Meyer jewels, and a mauve-pink Chloe ‘Drew’ bag.

Out In New York: The summery vibe became all the sunnier in this happy, bright Lela Rose Spring 2017 flower frock. I love the retro vibe and that she wore equally vibrant, colour-block Pierre Hardy ‘Memphis’ sandals.

Kate Hudson & Naomi Watts In Stella McCartney – 2017 Met Gala

Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts were the yin and yang of the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Both dressed in Stella McCartney, they certainly took the prize for minimalist-chic, cool-girl looks of the night.

Kate Hudson: Her asymmetric white gown captured my affection for its sleek silhouette juxtaposed against the robe-like sleeve. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, but it fit her like a dream and her powdered, platinum updo added just the right thematic finish.

Naomi Watts: She played the sophisticated-sultry siren in this mesh-laced black gown, styled with an on-trend wavy bob for a girl-meets-glam statement—with an edge.

Naomi Watts In Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs & Prada – The Turtle Conservancy’s Fourth Annual Turtle Ball, ‘Chuck’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere & ‘3 Generations’ Screening

Naomi Watts made her rounds in New York City at both the Tribeca Film Festival and The Turtle Conservancy’s Fourth Annual Turtle Ball.

The Turtle Conservancy’s Fourth Annual Turtle Ball – At the event on Monday (April 17), Naomi wore a tea-length pale blush dress from Miu Miu’s Fall 2017 collection. It’s perfect. I love the playful red accents at the collar and the vintage inspired ruffled yoke front and center.

‘Chuck’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere- On Friday (April 28) Naomi hit the red carpet in a Marc Jacobs Fall 2017 outfit. It’s how she balances elegance and casual sophistication that makes this look work so well, pairing the slouchy long sleeved sweater dress with a sparkling fringe mini skirt.

‘3 Generations’ Screening – On Sunday (April 30) She stepped out in a Prada dress with Prada shoes and Delfina Delettrez rings. After back-to-back nude looks, this floral embroidered and beaded calf length dress was a breath of fresh air.

As usual, in all three looks Naomi is the definition of classic elegance.
