Naomie Harris In Chanel – 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Naomie Harris was the first to arrive on the red carpet for the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards today (February 25) in Santa Monica, California.

Traditional texture meets classic silhouette in this Chanel Spring 2017 dress; that’s until you get to the hot-pink Velcro accents which shifts this shift dress into another gear.

The shoes on anyone else may have given a pass, but this is Naomie Harris, so I would’ve loved shoes in a hot-pink or cool blue hue.

Naomie Harris In Cédric Charlier – BUILD Series LDN

Naomie Harris was at a BUILD series event in London on Monday (February 13).

Her Cédric Charlier Fall 2017 sweater dress stitched together casual sophistication with a sportswear mentality by way of a corded and boldly colour-blocked design.

Navy flat shoes kept the more relaxed mood intact.

Some ensembles lose a bit of their sartorial power when seated, but not so for this look. In fact, I would say its flattering appeal became even stronger as a result.

Naomie Harris In Gucci – 2017 BAFTAs

Naomie Harris, Best Supporting Actress nominee for ‘Moonlight’, also attended the 2017 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 12) in London, England.

Here’s the thing: without the gaudy orange flowers under her bust, this dress would be one of my favourites. With them, I’m not so sure. But that’s Gucci for you – prettiness and excess are bought together season after season.

This is quite a different look for Naomie. She usually favours a stripe, or monochrome palette, and most of the time wears dresses that are just-below-the-ankle or slightly higher. This prom-style shape is a welcome delight to her wardrobe.

And the colours are spot on too: the dusty pink and the beige make for a wonderful contrast. The orange flowers spoil the serenity though.

Naomie Harris In Bottega Veneta – 89th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon

Naomie Harris joined her fellow nominees at the 89th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon on Monday (February 6) in Beverly Hills.

At very first glance, I didn’t gravitate towards the canvas colour of this Bottega Veneta Spring 2017 pleated dress, as I love seeing Naomie in bright shades so much.

However, its buttery hue quickly won me over, especially since she wore the primly tailored silhouette so well.

And, the dimensional black embellishment was just icing on the cake for this richly sophisticated look that yet again sees Naomie back to her best.

She completed the ensemble with an Edie Parker clutch and René Caovilla black heels, not to mention glossy waves and softly radiant makeup.

Naomie Harris In Proenza Schouler – Virtuosos Tribute

Naomie Harris was also at the Virtuosos Tribute on Saturday (February 4) in Santa Monica along Janelle Monáe.

With a look that sees her getting back to her top form after a few more questionable outings, the actress wore a Proenza Schouler Spring 2017 ensemble.

Striking a balance between chic and sassy, the graphically printed top and skirt didn’t take itself too seriously but ensured Naomie’s toned midsection was given its due attention.

The black pumps were a snooze but that’s okay, as the rest of the look was far from sleepy.

Naomie Harris In Prabal Gurung – 16th Annual Film Independent Directors Close-Up Series – ‘Moonlight’

It’s safe to say Naomie Harris has been the object of many a style crush, but the actress has lately worn a few looks that have likely caused fewer butterflies than usual. Such was the case again at the 16th Annual Film Independent Directors Close-Up Series – ‘Moonlight’ on Wednesday (February 1) in LA.

While the striped colour palette in her Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2017 outfit was vibrant, I found myself missing the belt and the pop of the blue shoes from its original presentation.

Clearly channeling her sportier side with this T-shirt-inspired ensemble, Naomie styled it with a ponytail and pointy sneakers that were certainly on trend—and also blindingly bright white, lending an abrupt finish to the look.
