Naomie Harris In Monique Lhuillier - 6th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood

Naomie Harris opted for spring colours at the 6th Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday.

The ‘Skyfall’ actress wore a frock from Monique Lhuillier Resort 2013.

The white and mirrored floral patterned sheath dress looked beautiful on the actress, which she expertly styled with a purple Edie Parker ‘Lara’ clutch.

I’m typically a fan of Naomie’s style—her penchant for streamlined silhouettes and bold colours are always spot on—but I’m not fond of the heavy, black Stuart Weitzman ‘Showbiz’ booties and down hairstyle paired with this dress.

The look calls for a more delicate shoe choice and though her hair looks lovely, it hides the mirrored detail. I’d suggest a sleek, low bun at the nape of the neck.

How do you think the shoes and hair paired with the Lhuillier look?

Naomie Harris In Willow - ITV Studios

Naomie Harris was spotted out in London again on Monday, headed to ITV Studios to promote the DVD release of ‘Skyfall’.

Dressed in all black, her sleek pieces perfectly complemented each other.

What caught my eye first were her Giuseppe Zanotti suede sandals with an edgy cut-out detailing, followed by her sculptured Willow leather jacket.

The sleek jacket from the Spring 2013 collection, with a flared peplum panel, is cut sharply to create a streamlined silhouette, while the zipper detailing gives it an edge.

Black jeans, drop earrings and a simple ponytail completed her daytime-TV look.

Naomie Harris In Hervé Léger By Max Azria - 'Skyfall' Train Unvieling

In an effort to promote ‘Skyfall’, which is out now on DVD, Naomie Harris was licenced to thrill as she unveiled the new ‘Skyfall’ train on Sunday at King’s Cross station in London.

The new Miss Moneypenny looked stunning in a figure-hugging Herve Leger Spring 2013 dress at the launch of the East Coast Line service — the first to be named after a film.

Her navy corduroy halter dress with blue-and-grey embroidery was styled with an exquisite pair of Nicholas Kirkwood lace-up booties, which added an edge to her sexy frock.

As always, Naomie doesn’t disappoint in the shoe department, with her hair and makeup looking equally flawless.

Naomie Harris In Roksanda Ilincic - 2013 Elle Style AwardsBond girl Naomie Harris hit a bright note on the red carpet at the 2013 Elle Style Awards, hosted at the Savoy Hotel in London on Monday night.

Exchanging her power gowns seen on the ‘Skyfall’ promo tour last fall, the British actress selected a more conservative Roksanda Ilincic above-the-ankle dress from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

Although the generously skirted, swishy look lacked a certain fashion flamboyance, the minimalist approach worked beautifully.

The delightful melon hue was colour-blocked with a flash of neon pink at the back, which injected some fun into the strict lines of this prim and proper design.

Naomie made the dress her own by cinching the waist with a skinny black belt and by swapping those heavy lookbook boots for an ultra-cool pair of black pumps, sculpted with metallic gold cut-outs, by Nicholas Kirkwood. A small Smythson clutch finished the look.

That mortarboard-like cap also had no chance atop her long, glossy locks.

For Naomie, it was a case of fashion kismet. Roksanda Ilincic won the inaugural award for Best Red Carpet Designer at the Elle event.

Naomie Harris was unveiled as a Bond girl for the ‘Skyfall’ movie way back in May, wearing a beautiful blue lace dress with matching shoes in Istanbul, where most of the movie was shot.

It wasn’t until October that the promo tour kicked off, with the British actress wearing her first of three Marios Schwab dresses at a photocall in New York.

Back in London she donned Chanel for a photocall, then for the royal premiere she shone in a Marios Schwab gown followed by a cocktail dress by the same designer for the after-party.

In Rome it was a double dose of Dolce before she headed to Madrid, where she donned two Lanvin dresses.

Naomie returned to Istanbul, where her penultimate look was custom made by Nicholas Oakwell, before she concluded her tour wearing a Maison Martin Margiela gown.

While the actress seemed to favour Marios Schwab during this tour, my favourite look was her Nicholas Oakwell look, followed by the Margiela and Chanel looks.

Back in May, Michelle Pfeiffer wore a Bordeaux silk-satin Lanvin dress to the ‘Dark Shadows’ London premiere, with Cathy Waterman and Samira 13 jewels plus her favourite Sergio Rossi ‘Cachet’ black pumps.

While I’m not crazy about the dress, this was one of the rare times Michelle didn’t wear another black dress, so she got points for that, but she loses them again for the tight fit and creases.

The dress looks vastly better on Naomie, who wore the dress to the ‘Skyfall’ Madrid photocall; however, her Pierre Hardy ankle boots shorten her long lean legs.

Cameron Diaz wore the same dress last month to TAG Heuer’s ‘A Night Under The Stars’ event, with a Lanvin statement necklace, Slane bangles, Carla Amorim ring, De Beers earrings and, of course, her Tag Heuer ‘Link Lady Trilogy’ limited edition watch.

Third time was not a charm.

As I prefer the dress in the rich Bordeaux colour, Naomie wins for me.

Mostly because of her flawless makeup, but also because her dress has a better fit.
