Poppy Appeal - Launch Photocall

Four of The Saturdays (Rochelle Humes, Vanessa White, Mollie King and Una Healy – the fifth, Frankie Sandford, is on maternity leave having given birth to a baby boy last week) attended a photocall to launch this year’s Poppy Appeal at RAF Northolt in Ruislip, England yesterday afternoon.

Often they dress like five girls pulled in off the street, but yesterday there was finally some cohesion in terms of their look as they jumped on two trends – the vinyl trend and the current love for Christopher Kane’s ‘Brain Scan’ printed pieces.

The only one who kept it 100% black was Vanessa, wearing a black dress with a mesh yoke and vinyl skirt.

Rochelle was the most covered up, wearing the most inappropriate shoes for her funky, youthful look. Mollie was, of course, wearing a crop top, with Una over-accessorizing just a tad, adding a statement necklace to her vinyl bustier, studded belt and brain-scan skirt combo.

Anyone here catch your eye for the right reasons? Or is your opinion of The Saturdays consistent: they just try too hard.

Pride Of Britain Awards - Red Carpet Arrivals

Una Healy, Vanessa White, Mollie King and Rochelle Humes from the Saturdays attended the Pride of Britain Awards held at Grosvenor House in London yesterday evening.

As usual, there was just no cohesion, which resulted in yet another assault to the eyeballs.

Una Healy: Her Amen Couture patterned frock is easily my least favourite here. I find the print really garish and the fit is terrible on the upper part of the frock.

Vanessa White: The singer was easily the best dressed here, looking sultry in a sexy black frock with a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit.

Mollie King: Usually the one I look to to give me a great moment from this troop, the pretty singer failed in this Amen Couture nude-and-black lace-accented tiered gown which is granny chic personified.

Rochelle Humes: I’m not sure what is going on here. This nude Yuvna Kim Spring 2014 gown doesn’t complement her skin tone.

Who Wore Three Floor Better

Celebrity brand favourite Three Floor have been serving up a score of stellar mini red carpet frocks this year but the piece celebs love most is their navy-blue ‘Sky High’ jumpsuit. Is the jumpsuit love bug catching on?

First up was Naya Rivera, who wore the strapless sweetheart-neckline jumpsuit to a private event at Hyde Lounge in LA for Beyonce Knowles’ concert, opting to add a pop of pink to her look via her Jimmy Choo ‘Amika’ shoes.

Mollie King gave the jumpsuit a second run out while attending the ‘We’re The Millers’ London premiere, adding a black belt, black Kurt Geiger pumps, a gold cuff and a metallic-gold clutch to her look.

Nicole Scherzinger made it a three-peat when she donned this famous jumpsuit while attending the X Factor UK press launch last month, keeping her accessories to a bare minimum, just upping the ante with red-hot  Kurt Geiger London ‘Britton’ bright-red pumps.

Finally, Ashley Madekwe raised the bar when she styled her jumpsuit with a Moxham x Three Floor choker, a gold-plated waistband and her can’t-live-without Saint Laurent ‘Jane’ sandals.

Nicole was my favourite in this jumpsuit for such a long time, but Ashley’s choker and belt elevated this look beyond all others so Ashley wins for me.

Mollie King In Preen Line - Radio 1 Studios

Following her weekend at V Festival, Mollie King was spotted leaving Radio 1 studios in London yesterday afternoon, where she was promoting her new single, ‘Disco Love’, with her The Saturday’s band mates.

Looking as beautiful and Sloaney as ever, the pretty blonde singer wore a Preen Line ‘Kensal’ silk crepe-de-chine and jersey dress with a contemporary blue tartan print and solid black back.

The loose-fit dress was cinched at the waist with a brown leather belt which complemented her Burberry ‘Orchard’ bag and tan shoes.

I would’ve loved a pair of red pumps or a red belt to offset the print on the dress, but she stuck to safe neutrals.

Laura Whitemore & Mollie King In AQAQ - AQAQ VIP Launch

AQ/AQ, formerly known as Aqua by Aqua, celebrated moving into a new era with a VIP party in London yesterday evening at their store on Carnaby Street.

Laura Whitmore: The Irish TV presenter can also add DJ to her CV, as she was spotted spinning the decks wearing an AQ/AQ ‘Divine’ black jumpsuit with wide-leg pants, styled with gold jewels including a statement cocktail ring. I must prefer the look book styling.

Mollie King: Having just returned from a trip to California, the singer showed off her golden glow wearing a red AQ/AQ long-sleeved dress with a v-neckline and central slit. A matching red manicure, gold sandals and a gold cross belt completed her look. I would mention that long sleeves during a heatwave was not a great idea; however, between the plunge and the slit, and travelling from an air-conditioned car to an air-conditioned venue, I’m sure she was able to keep cool.

Who Wore Jaeger Animal Print Coat Better Caroline Flack or Mollie King

Who would’ve thought that Caroline Flack and Mollie King had so many pieces in their closet in common?

Yesterday I brought you Mollie King wearing a Jaeger dress before Caroline, and on this occasion Caroline beat Mollie to the punch by wearing this Jaeger coat first.

Caroline showcased this chic cover-up while attending Glastonbury last month, pairing it with a crisp white blouse, tiny black shorts, a black hat, Miu Miu shades and black Chelsea boots.

Mollie wore her coat a few days later while making her way to KISS FM studios in London with her bandmates for a guest appearance, styling her coat with a black short set, black RayBan wayfarers, tan Pied A Terre shoes and a tan Aspinal’Barbarella’ bag.

Mollie wins for me again as I prefer her chic look. Caroline took the animal-print love a bit too far with the accent on her hat, plus I don’t like the way she has rolled up her sleeves.
