14th Annual Human Rights Campaign National Dinner – Mo’Nique In Tadashi Shoji

Director Lee Daniels and Mo’Nique attended the 14th Annual Human Rights Campaign National Dinner at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC this week.

The Academy Award-winning actress looked breath-taking wearing a Tadashi Shoji Fall 2010 gown.

Her ravishing red pleated chiffon one shoulder gown had a beautiful bow shoulder detail on the shoulder.

Tadashi Shoji dressed Mo’Nique several times during award season, and it’s a combination which keeps giving us spectacular red carpet results.

BDOTW worthy.

What Was Mo’Nique’s Best Red Carpet Awards Season Moment?

Mo’Nique swept the awards for Best Supporting Actress at every major event this awards season.

She caused controversy over her unshaven legs and Oscar speech, but we’re here to talk fashion.

Her confidence grew on the red carpet, although her husband was blocking our view of most of her looks.

My favourite was her gold Reem Acra gown. It may have been the gown that exposed us to her hairy legs, but it was the one that really made her glow.

I think Mr Mo’Nique got my memo as he decided to hang back and allow his wife to shine as she walked the red carpet at the 2010 Oscar tonight.

The first time Oscar nominee opted for a pop of colour wearing an electric blue Tadashi Shoji Spring 2010 gown.

The “Precious” star nominated for Best Supporting Actress has stuck with Tadashi Shoji throughout most of Awards season, and it’s proving to be a great working relationship because she’s never looked better.

I love the jewel detail on the bodice.

Thank god it’s ankle length.

The only downside is that big flower in her hair. A tad OTT for my liking.

Dude Back Up & Please Shave Your Legs If You’re Not Gonna Wear A Gown Award
It’s sweet that Mr Mo’Nique is on the red carpet to support his wife, but dude back up so we can see her dress.

Yes he’s there to support her, yes he’s her rock, but it’s her time to shine so let’s see that dress and let him support you a few paces to the side.

It’s like Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise all over again.

From what I can see her beige Tadashi Shoji Spring 2010 dress is beautiful on her.

I like the length and those sparkling heels are gorgeous, but why OH WHY, would you wear a dress of this length if you’re not going to shave your legs?

Runway To 41st NAACP Image Awards – Mo’Nique In Tadashi Shoji

Best Dressed Award
Mo’Nique did walk the red carpet at the 41st NAACP Image awards, but this portrait picture taken of her at the event was the only one which showed the detail in the bodice of her Tadashi Shoji Spring 2010 gown.

The basket weave detail is what really makes this look so interesting as it adds a lot of texture to her look.

Mo’Nique’s confidence on the red carpet has continued to grow this award season, and as a result she’s giving us more impressive looks.

She was definitely one of the best on the night, as both her hair and make-up were flawless.

She wasn’t only a winner on the red carpet, she was also a winner at the event accepting the “Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture” award.
