Miroslava Duma Front Row @ Fall 2014 Couture Fashion Week

Miroslava Duma Front Row @ Fall 2014 Couture Fashion Week 8

Miroslava Duma was a near-constant presence on the front row at Fall 2014 Couture Fashion Week in France this past week. The Russian style-setter showed a mild obsession for glorious capes and voluminous silhouettes which later made way for a trio of more feminine skirts and dresses—all perhaps a sign of the Paris weather, as well.

Look 1: At the Atelier Versace runway presentation, she bucked convention (being bold, body-con and beaded, as per Versace), she showed her curves via a geometric, tri-colour burgundy, black and white Tod’s Spring 2014 cape made casual via distressed, ripped and cuffed jeans and white pumps.

Miroslava Duma In Valentino – The Glamour of Italian Fashion Exhibition Preview

Miroslava Duma In Valentino - The Glamour of Italian Fashion Exhibition Preview

Miroslava Duma attended a private dinner celebrating the Victoria and Albert Museum’s new exhibition, ‘The Glamour Of Italian Fashion 1945–2014′, held at the Victoria and Albert Museum on Tuesday (April 1) in London, England.

Dressed in Valentino’s floor-sweeping ‘Afrika’ dress from the Spring 2014 collection, the long-sleeved sheer green guipure-lace dress is emphasized with colourful embroidery and a scalloped hem.

This is a truly exquisite piece, nothing short of a masterpiece, and the neutral makeup and lack of jewelry was the perfect way to maximize the impact of this piece.

Miroslava Duma In Noon By Noor – Black Box Concierge Launch

Miroslava Duma In Noon By Noor - Black Box Concierge Launch

Miroslava Duma looked her usual flawless self at the Black Box Concierge Launch at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain on Tuesday evening (February 25).

Wearing pieces from the Noon by Noor Pre-Fall 2014 collection Miroslava’s look featured Noon by Noor’s golden eagle coat in camel and falcon felt pencil skirt in camel.

Layered over a crisp white shirt, the look was timelessly chic and a great colour for the street style star.

For me, this ticks all the right boxes. It’s feminine and pretty without being boring, and the embellishment, sensual palette and over-sized cut of the coat combine some of the season’s biggest trends. But what do you think?

Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2014 Front Row

Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2014 Front Row

Just like the understated luxury seen on the runway, the front row at Salvatore Ferragamo’s Fall 2014 show was suitably elegant and star-studded and helped bring Milan Fashion Week to a close in true Italian style.

Hilary Swank: Hollywood mega-star Hilary Swank brought the star power to the Italian powerhouse’s front row. Wearing a beautiful Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2014 cream satin pleated dress with belt buckle, she oozed glamour and grace. Cut perfectly, the dress was kept understated with a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo python pumps which although pretty uninspiring, helped to keep this look suited for the day.

Alison Brie: Also wearing a top-to-toe look by the iconic Italian label, ‘Mad Men’ actress Alison Brie added a pop of spring to the front row. Opting for a Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2014 white strapless pleated dress, Alison looked refreshingly modern and injected a welcome dose of colour with Salvatore Ferragamo pink suede heels and a Ferragamo pink, black and orange leather clutch. I think this is a great look for Alison and a great front row look for Milan.

Who Wore Gucci Better…Miroslava Duma or Zendaya Coleman?

Who Wore Gucci Better Miroslava Duma or Zendaya Coleman

Fashion week darling Miroslava Duma attended a private screening of James Franco’s documentary film ‘The Director’ during Paris Couture Fashion Week last month.

She wore a Gucci Resort 2014 liquid-gold lamé jacket with a matching tunic and loose-fitting trousers that were way too long for her petit frame.

Zendaya Coleman wore the same look just two days later to the Friends ‘N’ Family 17th Annual Pre-Grammy Party.

Perhaps deciding the original pants were too long, she opted for jogger pants, styling her look with Gucci shades, John Hardy rings and gold Ruthie Davis sandals with a cream python Oroton ‘Odeion’ clutch.

Pant length aside, I prefer Zendaya’s overall styling of this look right down to her untucked tunic, so she wins for me.
