Erika Jayne In Balmain – 2017 Grammy Awards

Erika Jayne put on the glitz at the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12) in LA.

The singer’s Balmain dress may have been mini in form, but it still brought major sequins to the party to create the signature geometric patterning.

The biggest issue I have with this look is wrapped up in its styling.

Why wear a pair of light ocean-blue Christian Louboutin suede pumps when you can play off the more vibrant electric-blue colour? Even black would have been preferred.

And while her long wavy locks were pretty, with the half topknot, they were just begging for a more bohemian look rather than this flashy power dress.

Adele In Givenchy Couture – 2017 Grammy Awards

Adele made a striking appearance on the red carpet of the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12).

The singer wore a long-sleeved, embellished olive green Givenchy gown from the Fall 2016 Couture collection.

There is so much ‘win’ to this look that I don’t even know where to begin. The color is unique and stunning with Adele’s hair color. And since everyone knows I am crazy about long-sleeved red carpet looks, it’s needless to say that I’m loving the modifications made from the runway version.

The polka dot and lace detailing on the sleeves add even more interest to the already dramatic look, but even with so much detail, everything is in perfect union.

Her signature dramatic makeup and a softly upswept chignon complete this stunning look.

Paris Jackson In Balmain – 2017 Grammy Awards

All that glitters was gold—and many other colours—for Paris Jackson at the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12) in LA.

While her style can gravitate towards a rebellious edginess, she took a more sleekly glam approach in a richly multi-hued Balmain Spring 2017 cutout gown.

I loved seeing her rock this crystal-pavéd moment, which brought just the right amount of glitz to the flattering crisscross pattern. And, the gown’s split-seam design was a welcome way to wear a slit—showing just the right amount of leg.

Instead of the runway’s bright purple heels, she brought the final bit of electric colour via a holographic Kotur clutch that stuck out in all the right ways.

Tinashe In Alexander Wang – 2017 Grammy Awards

Tinashe was one of the first stars to make her way down the red carpet of the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12).

The ‘Joyride’ singer wore a black satin Alexander Wang gown from the Spring 2017 collection.

Despite the many peek-a-boo elements, for the Grammys, this look will likely end up being one of the more conservative we see.

While the dress shows off the singers perfectly toned physique, it is actually her hair and makeup that really catch my eye–the loose updo and perfectly on-trend rosey-hued eyeshadow is stunning.

Sadly, that means this look is forgettable for me–do you agree?

Lea Michele In Roberto Cavalli Couture – 2017 Grammy Awards

Lea Michele was in attendance at the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12) in LA.

Donning one of night’s first sheer moments, of which we can only expect there will likely be more, the entertainer wore a beautifully intricate Roberto Cavalli two-piece gown.

The sheer fatigue didn’t faze me here, as the complexity of the floral embroidery and embellishment was such that it took top billing and actually required the lightness of form afforded by the see-through lattice work.

Taking into account the highly decorative factor of her ensemble, she styled it rather simply with slick, wet-look locks and a rose-rimmed eye.

Pharrell Williams In Adidas & Chanel – 2015 Grammy Awards

Pharrell Williams In Adidas - 2015 Grammy Awards

Pharrell Williams wore two looks (or is that three?) during the 2015 Grammy Awards where he picked up two awards for ‘Best Pop Solo Performance’ and ‘Best Urban Contemporary Album’ on Sunday (February 8) in LA.

Red Carpet: There was quite a stir about Pharrell’s Adidas look, with some saying it was too casual. Did people forget that this was the Grammys? I love the look for it’s typically cool and sporty vibe, perfectly styled with shoes with grey accents. The unique thing about this outfit is that it looked grey but under flash light it photographed white. I think the stir should’ve been saved for his wife Helen Lasichanh in her Adidas onesie. Unless you’re in a bob-sleigh team or an Olympic athlete, this is not a great look.

Performance: For the performance of his hit single ‘Happy’ , the singer wore a custom Chanel head-to-toe look. While I love the fun effervescent spirit of the look, he did look like an extra from ‘Hotel Budapest’.
