Miley Cyrus In Alexandre Vauthier Couture – 2014 MTV Video Music Awards #VMA

MileyCyrusInAlexandreVauthier2014VMA

Miley Cyrus looked hot on the red carpet of the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (August 24) at The Forum in Los Angeles.

After her much-talked about performance at last year’s VMAs, the singer was definitely one everyone was anxious to see, and she took the opportunity to wow in a black leather two-piece ensemble from the Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2014 Couture collection.

Say what you want about the young singer, but she definitely knows how to work a fashion moment when she wants to, and this is definitely one of her winning moments.

Everything from her lack of jewelry to her simply styled hair to the two-toned sandals show a mature, fashionable side of Miley that I just love.

Miley Cyrus In Giambattista Valli Couture – World Music Awards 2014

Miley Cyrus In Giambattista Valli Couture – World Music Awards 2014

Miley Cyrus performed at the World Music Awards 2014 held at Sporting Monte Carlo on Tuesday (May 27) in Monte Carlo, Monaco, where she picked up two awards: World’s Best Video for ‘Wrecking Ball’ and World’s Best Female Artist.

Considering her barely there tour wardrobe, I’m really surprised by the more covered-up approach here.

The singer wore a floral-print Giambattista Valli Fall 2012 Couture strapless gown which has a distinct romantic feel.

Detailed with a rich colour and sparkling metallic sheen, this gown creates a striking effect.

You may remember that Julianna Margulies wore a very similar look from the same collection to the 2012 Emmy Awards.

Miley Cyrus attended the World Music Awards 2014 held at Sporting Monte Carlo on Tuesday (May 27) in Monte Carlo, Monaco where she picked up two awards: World’s Best Video for ‘Wrecking Ball’ and World’s Best Female Artist.

Her first look of the evening was a sparkling silver Kaufmanfranco Fall 2014 long-sleeved gown styled with Lorraine Schwartz rings and slicked-back hair.

Considering the looks we’ve seen her wear to past music awards shows, this is considerably toned down, don’t you think?

The Blonds Creates Miley Cyrus’ ‘The Bangerz World Tour’ Wardrobe

Miley Cyrus' The Blonds 'Bangerz' TourAfter an extended delay due to illness, Miley Cyrus is back with a vengeance. She kicked off the European leg of her ‘Bangerz’ tour at London’s O2 arena on Tuesday (May 6) with typical boundaries-pushing boldness—and plenty of skin-baring bodysuits—debuting four new custom looks created by New York-based design team, The Blonds.

Look 1: Starting off with a bang, the ‘Miley Mouth’ silver bodysuit, emboldened with a giant pair of shiny red lips, delivered no shortage of showiness—despite the minimum amount of fabric. Echoing her tongue-wagging tendencies, this leotard said it all.

Look 2: Putting a dollar value on her twerking skills, the songstress suited up in the ‘Billion Dollar Miley’ design, embellished with charms and oversized chains. Despite all that money, does this look still come across as cheap or is it rebel-chic?

Miley Cyrus For Elle’s ‘Women In Music’ May 2014 Issue

Miley-Cyrus-ELLE-May-2014

Usually Elle releases multiple covers for the annual ‘Women In Music’ issue, but so far there is only one cover star and that is Miley Cyrus. Not surprising considering she has made the biggest noise (not necessarily via her music) this past 12 months.

The singer is rocking a Marc Jacobs fresh off the runway Fall 2014 metallic sequin wave-print tunic and flares, which is not surprising considering she is the face of Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2014 ad campaign.

Her classic blonde pixie cut and fresh face complete this beautiful look.

No word on what she said in her interview just yet; no doubt there will be something in there about her haterz, her music evolving, and how she doesn’t care what we think about her, etc etc.

Miley is currently on her ‘Bangerz World Tour’, which heads to Europe in May.

Miley Cyrus In Maison Martin Margiela – Cameo Nightclub

Miley Cyrus In Maison Martin Margiela - Cameo Nightclub

Miley Cyrus was spotted headed to Cameo Nightclub on Saturday (March 22) in Miami, Florida for her Bangerz Tour celebration.

Showing off her toned torso, the singer donned a colourful Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2014 backless black velvet top flocked with a multicoloured paint effect, created using a unique stamping process, and further enriched with embroidered sequins to emphasize the medley of colours.

Is there a legs-or-midriff code? If there is, the singer is flouting it by also wearing miniscule short shorts.

A ladylike light-blue Chanel quilted bag, a black mini cross-body Chanel bag, plus electric-blue Saint Laurent sandals accessorized her look, along with a heavy dose of bling.

Perfect party look or too tacky?

Miley Cyrus for W Magazine March 2014

0314-1042x1354

Miley Cyrus is laid bare and unrecognisable for W Magazine’s March 2014 issue, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, wearing nothing but a selection of rings and a pout.

The rest of her editorial sees her just a bit more covered up, sporting a Yoncé wet-look blonde lob (long bob) and wearing Alexander McQueen, the same leather Balmain jumpsuit we’ve already seen on Rihanna.

Interviewed by Ronan Farrow, Woody Allen’s biological son, the singer discusses her new image as a way of breaking out of the ‘pretty girl’ mould, her parents, and the criticisms of her performances.

Read more over at WMagazine.com or read the extracts below.

On the media in 2014: “I think with, like, Instagram, Twitter, whatever, everyone is a paparazzi now. How scary is that? Like, you’re never safe. Even ordinary people, just think they can, like, talk about you like they know you. Especially because I grew up in it, and like you grew up in it, too, there’s a sense of entitlement.”

On her parents: “I never had, like, a nanny that took care of me. My mom always fed me breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My dad, like, he’s the most trusting human in the world. He trusts everybody, basically, until they fu*k him over. And my mom, too, holds no grudges. She’ll let someone, like, fu*k her over twice, and then she’ll let it go, and then she kind of forgets about it. And I used to be like that. And now I just keep it in the back of my mind.”

On all her criticism: “I don’t give a sh*t. I’m not Disney, where they have, like, an Asian girl, a black girl, and a white girl, to be politically correct, and, like, everyone has bright-colored T-shirts. You know, it’s like, I’m not making any kind of statement. Anyone that hates on you is always below you, because they’re just jealous of what you have.”
