Michelle Yeoh In Elie Saab Couture – 7th Asian Film Awards

Michelle Yeoh’s second red carpet outing in as many days saw her grace the red carpet at the 7th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong, China this evening.

Looking much more like her elegant self, the legendary actress wore an Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture gown.

Her printed gown with a rich gold-lace-embroidered bodice was styled with a gold clutch and silver jewels.

I’m trying to overlook the silver jewels – my preference would’ve been gold – but if I put my finger over the clutch, the silver jewels do surprisingly work for me with the gold embroidery.

Simple makeup and a chic chignon completed her look.

Does anyone prefer the Valentino dress over this Elie Saab Couture look?

Princess Clotilde of Savoy wore an Elie Saab Couture gown from the same collection with this same print last year.

Michelle Yeoh In Valentino – 7th Asian Film Awards Cocktail Party

Michelle Yeoh took to the red carpet for the 7th Asian Film Awards cocktail party ahead of the main event held at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong on Sunday.

She wore a Valentino Resort 2013 floral embroidered short-sleeved dress.

Not for the first time in the last week have I felt that this Valentino dress would’ve worked better on one of the teen stars of Hollywood.

I love the dress but it feels too twee for someone of Michelle’s stature, especially when you factor in that pink bow accent.

Jimmy Choo sandals and a Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch completed her look.

Do you agree? Is this dress too twee for Michelle?

Front Row @ Armani Privé Fall 2012

The Armani Privé Fall 2012 show drew a sophisticated set of A-List celebs, as you would expect.

Leslie Mann: The actress, who attended the Chanel show earlier in the day, did a complete 180. Looking forgettable at Chanel, she wowed at Armani. With her hair swept to one side, the glamazon looked outstanding wearing an Armani LBD with a handkerchief hemline.

Zoe Saldana: It’s always a delight to see Zoe during fashion week. Looking impeccable from head-to-toe, the actress wore a shimmering coral Giorgio Armani Fall 2012 halter dress which she styled with black accessories. I have already picked out my Prive wish list for her.

Shailene Woodley: The ‘Descendants’ actress attended her first Couture runway show. She kept her look simple wearing an Armani Resort 2013 ivory ¾-sleeve jacket with black pants.

Michelle Yeoh In Armani Privé – Giorgio Armani ‘One Night Only In Beijing’ Fashion Show

Michelle Yeoh attended the Giorgio Armani ‘One Night Only in Beijing’ Fashion Show held in Beijing on Thursday evening.

The actress looked stunning wearing an Armani Privé Fall 2012 mermaid dress with flounces in silver-coloured lamé tulle.

The dramatic gown, with subtle green accents along the bottom, glides flawlessly on Michelle, without overwhelming her petite frame.

An upswept ponytail shows off the delicate tulle folds along the bust, while diamond earrings and bracelets add an extra bit of bling.

The only thing I don’t love about this look is the questionable choice to pair that clunky watch with such a delicate dress. This is our constant gripe with Michelle.

Who Wore Christian Dior Better? Jaime King or Michelle Yeoh

Here we have a WWIB poll with two actresses wearing Christian Dior a day apart.

Jaime King and her new ombre ‘do hosted an interactive evening to celebrate The Saint Vintage Love Tour benefiting Stand Up 2 Cancer at The Andaz in West Hollywood, California, on Thursday.

She wore a Christian Dior Spring 2012 dress with a black bodice and a light green chiffon skirt with black embroidery. A statement necklace and earrings provided the finishing touches.

The very next day, Michelle Yeoh wore the same dress.

The Asian actress was in Taiwan to open a new Dior boutique at Taipei 101.

She also opted for statement jewels including drop earrings, a large cocktail and a cuff, plus she added an oval Dior clutch.

Michelle screams elegance, which we expect from Dior, so she wins by a very long mile for me.

Is anyone as shocked about this as I am?

I mean this is Dior, not a mass-produced dress from Topshop.

Who Wore Valentino Better? Michelle Yeoh or Elizabeth Olsen

Michelle Yeoh attended the Rome Film Festival premiere of ‘The Lady’ back in October wearing a Valentino Resort 2012 embroidered gown with a croc clutch.

Green bangles and a green watch complemented the emerald stones in her earrings as she styled her hair into a side-swept bun to finish the look.

Elizabeth Olsen opted for a retro look inspired by the stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood when she wore the same dress earlier this week to the 21st annual Gotham Independent Film awards in New York City.

The young actress sported a curly updo and accessorised with a blush satin clutch and Kwiat jewels.

The graceful Elizabeth wins for me.

Michelle over accessorised and her green watch and bangles really felt out of place with her overall look.
