Red Carpet Fashion Awards

As the oldest ever Best Actress nominee, Emmanuelle Riva was sure to get lots of attention as she made her way down the red carpet at the 2013 Oscars held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The ‘Amour’ actress looked perfectly elegant and age-appropriate in her custom Lanvin gown.

Her red lip proves she knows how to work a current trend, and her statement diamond necklace is an Oscar-worth addition to her ensemble.

What do you think, should the French legend have taken more of a fashion risk, or did she score a win by playing it safe?

Academy Award nominee for best original song for ‘Skyfall’ and a performer of the evening, Adele, took to the red carpet at Sunday’s 2013 Oscars at the Dolby Theater in L.A.

After after a brief trial with colour at the Grammy Awards, Adele opted for her love of black with a dress from Jenny Packham.

I love Adele in a black gown—it looks so lovely against her alabaster skin—especially this beaded embellished design with sheer to-the-elbow sleeves and a perfectly nipped in waist. She looks elegant, confident, and very Oscars-appropriate.

Aside from the sparkle on her gown, Adele accessorized with a ring and earrings from Harry Winston. The singer’s half-up-half-down hairstyle with a little volume and face-framing strands allowed her retro eyeliner to really pop.

Do you love that Adele went back to her signature black dress style?

‘The Master’ actress Amy Adams made a grand entrance at the 2013 Academy Awards red carpet today at California’s Dolby Theatre in the Hollywood & Highland Center.

Before the show even started, the nominee paraded out her own Oscar—Oscar de la Renta, that is—wearing a fairytale-inspired, princess ball-gown by the designer.

The powdery blue colour of this confection could have faded into the background, but not with its extravagant design that featured fluffy layers of feathery tulle that trailed several feet behind her.

Her train nearly needed its own entourage to maneuver down the red carpet line.

Like Jessica Chastain, Amy didn’t go too far with her accessories. With the sweetheart bodice, she skipped a necklace and wore a pair of simple diamond drop earrings and a braided rope bracelet.

Her auburn locks were pulled into a twisted updo, while a petal-pink lip played into the extreme softness of this look.

Up next for Amy is taking on the role of Lois Lane in ‘Man of Steel.’ Was she a superhero of style for you?

Queen Latifah was one of many actresses to chose white at the 2013 Oscars held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The ‘Steel Magnolias’ actress and producer wore a simple Badgley Mischka gown with beading along the straps.

As a CoverGirl spokesmodel, it’s no surprise that Queen wore a striking berry shade of CoverGirl lipstick and the shade–along with her lashes, which went on for days, were a beautiful accent to the stark white gown.

I love how simple Queen Latifah kept it on the red carpet, and the white is beautiful against her mocha skin.

Sandra Bullock stood strong on the red carpet Sunday at the 2013 Oscars held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The ‘The Blind Side’ actress wore an embellished black and silver Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture gown.

Letting her perfect figure lead the way, Sandra looks like the Hollywood heavy-hitter that she is in this elegantly beaded gown.

The capped sleeves accent her toned arms, while the Swarovski clutch and Harry Winston jewelry are the perfect accessories, as they don’t overpower the gown.

I do wish Sandy would have pulled up her hair, as leaving it down cuts into the perfect silhouette of the gown, but overall, she makes a strong, classic statement.
