Who Wore Herve Leger Better Michelle Williams or Michelle Rodriguez

Last month, Michelle Williams attended the 28th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California, where she wore a black-and-white Herve Leger bandage gown.

The singer added black Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and a black clutch to her look.

Michelle Rodriguez wore the same gown in white-and-black while attending the ‘Fast & Furious 6’ Seoul premiere in South Korea on Monday.

The actress opted for a simpler approach, adding just a silver cuff to her look, with a beauty regime consisting of barely there makeup and naturally wavy tresses.

Both women look gorgeous; however, I’m going to give this win to Michelle Williams because I appreciate her efforts to go glam in this look.

Michelle Rodriguez wowed me at the 2011 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala during 2011 Cannes Film Festival this evening.

I make that twice in one year.

The actress seems to be taking the red carpet more seriously these days, which was perfectly showcased by her wearing this Jean Fares Couture gown tonight.

I love the pretty pink colour on her. I don’t think she’s ever worn anything this delicate.

The open back dress looks to be paying an homage to Celine Dion’s Oscar tuxedo don’t you think?

As well as having embellished pockets, the gown also has embellishments cascading down the back.

I have to say I love this effort from her, despite the gown being too long at the front.

French pop singer Shy’m attended the NRJ Awards in Cannes back in January, looking stunning in this black architectural Basil Soda gown.

She let the gown do most of the talking with the rest of the focus being on her towering hairdo.

Some bracelets or a cocktail ring would have been a welcome addition, but since she looks so glamorous I’m willing to let that part go.

Shy’m must know how amazing she looks since she is seriously working it on the red carpet. It’s hard to find fault with this.

Michelle Rodriguez surprised us all by stepping out in the same dress for her “Battle: Los Angeles” LA Premiere

Usually favouring a more casual look on the red carpet, this was a huge step up for the actress, but it certainly wasn’t perfect.

Her necklace is too fussy for a dress with an asymmetrical neckline. Even though her hair looks gorgeous, I would have loved to see it pulled back to really let her beauty (and the gown) shine.

Michelle gets points for stepping out of her comfort zone and trying something new but the details – including a basic black clutch – are just all wrong.

Shy’m on the other hand gets it right by directing most of the attention to the dress and her hair. She owns the look and knows it.

Shy’m wins for me.

I found myself very surprised by Michelle Rodriguez on the red carpet at the “Battle: Los Angeles” LA Premiere.

I was surprised because I didn’t hate the look.

Usually I dislike anything she wears mostly because she doesn’t have the grace to pull off most gowns or she pairs a leather jacket with everything.

On this occasion I feel like she really made an effort wearing a black Basil Soda gown despite wanting to take a pair of scissors to chop off that oversized padded shoulder.

Apart from the shoulder this look would’ve been more effective had she ditched the necklace.

I’ve never been a fan of necklaces with an asymmetrical neckline.

Here’s a look at the rest of the stars attending the 2010 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala which took place in Cannes tonight.

Go to page 2 to see all the other looks from this event.

Rachel Bilson makes me hit the snooze button even though she’s wearing a beautiful Chanel Couture Fall 2009 navy dress.

The dress is fine, it’s just the drab styling that brings everything down.

Michelle Williams unsurprisingly goes against the grain to wear this adorable Sonia Rykiel Fall 2008 multi coloured pailette mini dress.

This is a perfect example of having your own personal style and making it work for you at any event.

Ferragamo heels and a Chanel clutch complete the look.

This is what Rachel should’ve worn.

Mary J Blige looked breath-taking wearing a stunning Gucci nude pearl micro beaded one-shouldered gown featuring drape down her skirt.

Michelle Rodriguez looks the best she’s ever looked.

I love this fuschia pink dress, it’s stunning on her plus I’m lusting after her matchy matchy pink heels.
