Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Michelle Obama greeted her El Salvador’s counterpart Vanda Pignato during a visit to the Ciudad Mujer Center in San Salvador yesterday.

Both women opted for beautiful shades of violet.

Mrs Pignato wore a Christian Dior Resort 2011 scalloped edge sleeveless dress, whilst the First Lady wore one of her favourite designers, Jason Wu.

Her violet pressed daffodil silk faille dress from the Resort 2011 collection was accented with a floral Alexis Bittar brooch on her shoulder.

First Lady Michelle Obama was captured waving to photographers as she walked with daughters Malia and Sasha upon arrival for a reception hosted by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff at the Palacio da Alvorada in Brazil this weekend.

She wore a stunning Naeem Khan Spring 2011 dress.

The neutral linen shift dress was embellished with intricate gold embroidered details which were complemented by her gold kitten heels.

Mrs O opted to modify her dress slightly to give it an open neckline.

A chic updo, flawless make-up and gold accessories completed her look.

Mrs O has been come quite a fan of Mr Khan, having worn his dresses to greet the Indian Prime Minister and the 33rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors Ceremony.

Michelle Obama gave her first live morning show interview on the Today show.

She discussed many issues with Matt Lauer including the job performance of her husband, U.S. President Barack Obama and she was also asked if the President dyes his hair.

After wowing us recently in Alexander McQueen, she surprises us again here by wearing an H&M polka-dot dress which only costs $34.95.

She added her own personal twist to this dress by having her stylist add in custom sleeves.

A wide tan belt and mustard yellow pumps completed her look.

This dress is in stores now and also comes in melon.

I bet you never thought you’d ever see the First Lady of the United States of America wearing H&M.

She looks beautiful as always.

This is how the dress looks in store without the added sleeves.

Victoria Beckham has often been quoted as saying she’d loved to dress Michelle Obama, so it’s ironic to see them both wearing the same Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 tweed grey pencil dress.

Victoria wore this dress last year when she took to her runway at LAX debuting two taupe bags from her Spring 2011 collection.

VB added her favourite nude Brian Atwood and self designed shades to complete her look.

The First Lady wore the same dress when she arrived at the Wal-Mart announcement of a comprehensive effort to provide healthier and more affordable food choices to their customers in Washington, D.C. last week.

Whilst I love that Mrs O is wearing Marc Jacobs straight off the runway for a second time, I don’t love the brown boots with this look so VB wins for me.

This week’s BDOTW was the hardest ever.

Many of us had 3 or 4 winners, but in the end the First Lady won your vote.

Michelle Obama continues to wow and impress us with her style choices.

She has long been a fan of Alexander McQueen, but no one would’ve dreamed she would wear such a dramatic look.

My first ever blog post on the First Lady featured her wearing a black Alexander McQueen Spring 2008 suit for her Ebony cover, so it’s exciting that she’s become more bolder with her style choices.

It was almost impossible for me to pick one winner, but in the end I had to go with Angelina Jolie.

Her stunning Atelier Versace green goddess dress still gives me chills.

Some of you weren’t that impressed with this look, but after her depressing run promoting “The Tourist” this was a sight for sore eyes.
