Red Carpet Fashion Awards

PIX11 Morning News, New York

Actress Michelle Monaghan was seen at the PIX11 Morning News studios in New York to promote her latest film “Trucker”.

She wore a black and cream Elie Saab Fall 2009 dress with a graphic stitch detail.

Her dress was paired with black suede pumps.

I prefer her colour combination to the one presented on the runway.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Eliza Dushku wore a cream crew-neck Kimberly Ovitz Jacob jersey mini dress which has pintucks throughout, paired with two tone Marni heels and a Tory Burch studded messenger bag.

For a second I thought she was Mariah Carey with those shade on.

New York City Premiere of Milton Hershey School Documentary, New York

When I first saw this Chris Benz Fall 2009 floral print dress one-sleeved dress on the runway, I wondered who would be crazy enough to wear this on the red carpet.

Paula Patton did this week with blue suede Sergio Rossi heels.

I’m surprised to admit that I think she totally look great in the dress.   This mix of colours really complements her skin-tone.

Nomads Two Worlds Art Preview, Australia

Fergie’s Karl Lagerfeld Fall 2009 black dress with a v-shaped textured panel is very similar to the dress Katy Perry wore from the same collection to Lagerfeld Spring 2010 show during Paris Fashion Week.

With her hair tightly pulled back Fergie wore her dress with black pumps and an Alexander McQueen Faithfull leather glove clutch.

Grand Opening Of The Famous Cupcakes Beverly Hills, LA

Kim Kardashian showed off some of her surprisingly toned abs wearing a black Pencey open back dress, which she paired with black pumps.

Newlywed Khloe Kardashian opted for an Alexander Wang one-sleeve jersey dress paired with the increasingly popular Christian Louboutin Bridget lace ankle boots.

Sienna Miller was your Best Dressed this week wearing a strapless icy-blue Thakoon mini dress with gold Jimmy Choo heels, after fighting off Ashlee Simpson and beating her by only 1%.

Michelle Monaghan was by far my favourite this week.

I loved her body-sculpting Rachel Roy long sleeved navy dress with bold shoulders, paired with Manolo Blahnik heels.

It’s not easy to wear such a dress, but she oozed confidence and sexy sophistication.

Despite being the human equivalent to a magpie and being instantly attracted to anything the sparkles, I’m not in love with Diane Kruger’s embellished Miu Miu mini dress as I don’t think it flatters her.

I feel like tugging the skirt down as it sits too high for my liking.

She completed her vixen look with bright red lips and black strappy heels.

Diane’s co-star Mélanie Laurent faired much better wearing a Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2009 Couture black ensemble.

The look consisted of a black pencil skirt, patent waist belt and a sheer halter top, which she lined from the runway version.

Black peep-toes and a black Christian Louboutin clutch completed the look.

Love the look, but I’m not at all crazy about her hair.

Michelle Monaghan looked outstanding wearing a navy blue Rachel Roy Resort 2010 dress with sculptural peaked shoulders.

The bold shoulder is not an easy look to pull off, but Michelle does with ease.

Manolo Blahnik white strappy sandals and a silver cuff complete the look.

Rachel Roy modified Spring 2009 strapless dress to become a spaghetti strapped taupe dress with a less revealing metallic neckline.

Her look is made more interesting with a chunky silver necklace from Michael Kors Fall 2009 collection.

I like designers like Rachel, Donatella Versace and recently Georgina Chapman who modify their own designs to make them more individual.  Take notes Mrs B.

I LOVE Agyness Deyn here.

For once the British model looks glamorous even though she’s wearing a Rocky Horror Show t-shirt.

There’s something about the neatness of her look that I’m drawn too. The sleek bob, the pencil skirt, the red Lulu Guinness lips clutch, her gold strappy Méchante of London’s ‘Elektra’ Rose python heels and the cleanliness of it all.

Not a hint of grunge in sight.

Alexa Chung’s style is not to my liking, but I do appreciate her shirt with a studded collar, plus her H&M skirt, but I can’t bare the greasy hair.

I don’t understand how greasy hair became so trendy.

Actress Julia Stiles looked smart and chic wearing a white satin dress, with an ivory criss cross detail that goes across her back.

She paired her dress with gold gladiator sandals and a white clutch.

Olivia Palermo bucked the short and sassy trend at this event and opted for a ruffled maxi Kate Moss for Topshop dress.

Although she does look elegant and she has added a pony tail to her trademark hairstyle, I can’t help feel a bit bored by her look.

The edgy New Yorker appears to have soften her look.

Melissa George made a huge statement wearing a bold red dress to this screening.

The star was very sophisticated in scarlet as she added black accessories including a studded peep-toes.

Eva Amurri where is your bra?

With twins like those they need support.

Emmanuelle Chriqui at least wore a bra, even though I can see it under her white Kain Label Pocket Tee.

Her electric blue clutch punches up her laid-back look.

Socialite Fabiola Beracasa channels her inner Victoria Beckham wearing a ridiculous headband whilst ruining her gorgeous plum Alexander Wang one-sleeve jersey dress.

With her newly plumped lips Lindsay Lohan walked the red carpet looking a disheveled mess, but then what’s new about that?

I’m sure the actress got many calls from Britney Spears last night, asking for her ratty extensions back.

On a bright sunny Saturday afternoon in Hollywood, Michelle Monaghan attended the LA premiere of the animated movie UP.

Her splashy print Peter Som Fall 2009 dress, matched the sun in terms of brightness. I adore the colours, the print, the length, and I even prefer her pink waist belt, as it pops more than the runway blue.

The lilac heels are also a delight. Someone could have easily paired this dress with black heels, but I’m thankful Michelle didn’t.

She is head-to-toe perfection, as I always expect from Michelle. She always delivers.

I didn’t like this dress Eva Mendes when she wore it to the Parson Fashion Benefit last month, and I dislike this colour even more on Michelle Monaghan.

It’s not particularly flattering, chartreuse is a hard colour to pull off, and those Calvin Klein Fall 2009 heels are very chunky.

I much prefer Molly Sims’ Calvin Klein Fall 2009 dress over the runway version. She’s too bright, and bubbly for the darker version.

I love this geometric print dress with a metallic shimmer, as it has a sporty feel to it.

What find interesting about this dress is the neckline, and the draped detail on the side.

Molly wore her dress with Sergio Rossi elasticated strappy ankle sandals, and a silver clutch.
