Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Michelle Monaghan arrived at the Children’s Defense Fund California’s 20th Annual Beat The Odds Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA last night.

The brunette actress wore a Roksanda Ilincic khaki green dress from the Fall 2010 collection.

Whilst the dress may not immediately float our boats, you should remember that this was a children’s’ charity event.

It may lack glamour but it’s appropriate for the occasion, and it’s not a Herve Leger bandage dress with a plunging neckline – yes Jennifer Lopez we’re looking at you.

Michelle’s long silk dark khaki green Roksanda Ilincic dress has a bateau neckline and a dropped back with waterfall draping.

Her look was paired with Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps and a gold bracelet.

This is how you work a Versace dress.

I hope you are taking notes January Jones.

Michelle Monaghan looked amazing wearing this red hot Versace Spring 2011 dress on the red carpet last night for the “Due Date” LA Premiere.

She has what January often lacks when wearing Versace: Attitude, sex appeal and confidence in what she’s wearing. All this things are vital in order to pull off a Versace dress.

Her mini dress with clear panels on the shoulders and waist has been shortened from the runway to take it from at photocall look to a red carpet look.

Lord knows how but Michelle will find herself a place on the BDOTW poll.

Nude Christian Louboutin pigalles heels and a sexy “yes I know I look good” smile completes this fabu look.

Actress Michelle Monaghan attended the amfAR New York Gala which was held to kick off Fall 2009 Fashion Week in New York City back in February last year.

She wore a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 look which included those Spicy heels which celebrities fell in love with.

Natalia Vodianova wore the same dress when she arrived at the Louis Vuitton Bond Street Maison launch in London this week.

Both look great in this fashion forward look.

Michelle made this look more edgy wearing the Spicy heels, but I love Natalia’s choice of gold glitter heels.

She made the look more individual so Natalia wins for me.

Michelle Monaghan likes to wear short styles on the red carpet, so it was not a surprise to see her sporting this style at the “Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time” LA premiere.

I may not be a fan of black on the red carpet, but I love navy blue or midnight blue so I was instantly drawn to Michelle in her navy Andrew GN Fall 2010 dress.

The embellished waistband and neckline sparkle whilst the draped bow accented detail on the skirt adds a playful touch.

I really appreciate the hair swept to one side to allow us to see the embellished shoulder strap. I love it when such details are not obscured.

No jewels, no clutch just black strappy Andrew GN patent heels and gorgeous smile.

I love this look.

It’s A Grower Award
My first reaction was to dislike Michelle Monaghan’s Calvin Klein one-shoulder gun-metal dress, but after sleeping on it my mind has changed.

What I love about the two tone grey dress, is that is not like anything else on this red carpet.

Whilst most wore satin or chiffon gowns, Michelle gave us something totally different with this beautiful haunting creation.

Her earrings are exquisite, whilst she matched her dress with Christian Louboutin Ole Ole pewter goa lame platform pumps.
