Michelle Dockery In Mary Katrantzou - Generation W Party and Vanity Fair’s 'Celebration of the 2013 International Best Dressed List'

Michelle Dockery attended the Generation W Party and Vanity Fair’s ‘Celebration of the 2013 International Best Dressed List’ on Monday evening in New York City.

The ‘Downton Abbey’ actress has been working a lot of print following her monotone dress code during Venice Film Festival.

Here we see her bursting with colour wearing a Mary Katrantzou Resort 2014 sleeveless printed dress featuring a straight neckline, which is our second look at this collection since Friday.

It wasn’t only her pretty dress which caught my eye; I also found myself drawn to her hot-pink lips and cobalt-blue Gianvito Rossi snakeskin pumps. The whole look is really a fest for eyeballs.

The rest of her accessories included a Monica Rich Kosann clutch and Dana Rebecca earrings.

A chic wavy bob completed her spectacular look. If this was a book, I wouldn’t be able to put it down.

Front Row @ Caroline Herrera Spring 2014

Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2014 runway saw a host of sophisticated stars taking their front-row seats for the Monday showing at The Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York City, where they all wore an eclectic mix of the designer’s offerings.

Michelle Dockery: The ‘Downton Abbey’ star was lovely in a sophisticated cerulean-toned separates, including a floral-printed, Peter Pan-collar blouse and a demure, flared skirt, from the Fall 2013 collection. Silver pumps and EF Collection earrings provided the shine to that electric blue shade. Karolina Kurkova strutted out the same print several months ago.

Christina Ricci: Also in a Fall 2013 ensemble, the actress wore a sheer devoré velvet dress that featured an exploded dahlia pattern, although I wasn’t crazy about the way the lining translated in photos. Also channeling her inner metallic maven, she put on a pair of silver Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps to complete the look.

Dita von Teese: Always showing her flair for the dramatic, the burlesque queen’s Fall 2013 ensemble featured a green-and-black blouson-sleeve top with a similar dahlia print and a super-wide-leg pair of too-shiny pants. A Christian Louboutin ‘Sweety Charity Brode Strass’ embroidered, chain-accented black evening clutch—and Dita’s forever red lip—finished the look, which translated as a bit heavy for the front row action.

Brittany Snow: Following Dita’s red-lipped lead, Brittany showed her style cards with a Pre-Fall 2013 dress, showered in mini hearts, spades, diamonds and clubs. She accessorized with an angular red clutch and strappy crimson sandals, along with dainty Dana Rebecca Designs earrings and rings by EF Collection.

Miu Miu Women's Tales Talks - The 70th Venice International Film Festival

Michelle Dockery and Freida Pinto attended the Miu Miu Women’s Tales Talks photocall held at Excelsior Hotel on Saturday in Venice, Italy – with both ladies wearing Miu Miu, naturally.

Michelle Dockery: The ‘Downton Abbey’ actress wore a sombre navy sheer top and a black floaty skirt with black-patent pumps, which for me is not getting into the festival spirit especially when we are nearing the end of summer. Even with the red pout, I am totally bored by this look. She could’ve lifted it with some interesting jewels or a statement necklace, but no.

Freida Pinto: After failing to excite at the premiere last week, Freida was back to her best, looking lovely wearing a summery Miu Miu white-and-pink tie-dye sleeveless shirtdress styled with nude pumps with an embellished heel and a shimmering taupe lip colour. While this is much improved, I’m sad that we didn’t get a more glamorous moment from Freida at this festival.

Freida Pinto, Carey Mulligan Michelle Dockery & Gabrielle Union In Miu Miu - Miu Miu Women's Tales

Several celebs attended the Miu Miu Women’s Tales screening during the 2013 Venice International Film Festival in Italy this afternoon.

Freida Pinto: I’m usually a big fan of Freida’s style, but this bright-red Miu Miu dress with a black button panel with a zipper detail …dare I say… looks very cheap and the whole thing reads sloppy to me. Very disappointed.

Carey Mulligan: Even though I am not a fan of sunglasses on the red carpet, Carey fared much better wearing a simple black silk Miu Miu frock with a white Peter Pan collar, which is the second look which has a back-to-school vibe I have seen this week.

Michelle Dockery: Also opting for red, the British actress wore a Miu Miu silk crepe-de-chine loose-fit mini dress with two front patch pockets. I am picturing her shuffling along the red carpet, because those black pumps look so heavy. I’m also not a fan of the clutch; it feels like it is there just for advertising purposes as it also doesn’t complement her frock.

Gabrielle Union: The beautiful actress graced the red carpet wearing a floaty sheer black Miu MIu dress with a red velvet panel which has an autumnal feel that I can’t get excited about.

In summary, with the exception of Carey, none of these looks is working for me. I can find fault with each look.

PBS History's 'Downton Abbey' Season 4 Photocall

The cast of ‘Downton Abbey’ attended a photocall hosted by PBS History for Season 4 held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California yesterday afternoon.

Michelle Dockery: Opting for chic separates, Michelle wore a black-and-beige Elie Saab Resort 2013 short set with a black Ann Taylor top. She styled her look with Jean-Michel Cazabat ‘Ella’ black pumps, adding a pop of colour via her red lips.

Laura Carmichael: Admittedly, Laura rarely catches my eye; however, I was charmed by her whimsical Moschino Cheap and Chic black mini dress trimmed with an ivory satin box-pleat ‘piano keys’ accented hemline.

Joanne Froggatt: Sporting blonde, beachy, wavy tresses, the British actress, who has always been a fan of prints and colour, wore a Camilla & Marc Fall 2013 look. Her black top with a cobalt-blue trim was tucked into a dual-print blue-and-berry flounced skirt, to which she opted not to add the belt it was presented with. Her simple styling included silver bracelets and black pumps. Should she have kept the belt?

Sophie McShera: Looking delighted to be out of her 1920s maid outfit, the young actress wore a pretty floral Zara frock with an ultimate ladylike fit. This elegant dress is right on trend, with nude pumps and a orange-red lip colour completing the effortless styling.
