Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Men 6 august

It’s time to celebrate the fine gentlemen who’ve been hitting the red carpet this week.

Jason Segel: The actor, who was my best dressed last week, attended the screening of ‘The End of the Tour’ on Sunday (August 2) in East Hampton, New York. While I love the teal hue of his Prada suit, I don’t like the striped tie and I think the trousers are perhaps an inch too long.

Miles Teller: The actor joined co-star Kate Mara on the red carpet for the ‘Fantastic Four’ New York premiere on Tuesday (August 4). I do love a double-breasted suit; unfortunately they don’t necessarily work for everyone. Miles totally nailed his look rocking Louis Vuitton with Christian Louboutin shoes with both style and panache.

Best Dressed Of The Week - Sandra Bullock In Roksanda & Michael B

There were many great options this week on the women’s side, but like you, I was totally charmed by Sandra Bullock’s Rokanda look.

The look was effortless and so chic with playful Rupert Sanderson Minion eye pumps adding the right amount of quirk considering this was a Disney premiere.

Michael B. Jordan also had some stiff competition, but he stood out for this well put together tonal Sandro look.

Menswear Red Carpet Weekend Roundup

Menswear Weekend Red Carpet Roundup 3

Over the weekend, a group of guys attended a range of events, and if nothing else, I couldn’t be more delighted that there was not a shred of traditional black suiting on the red carpet this time around.

Jon Hamm: On Saturday (June 27), the actor joined Sandra Bullock at the premiere of ‘Minions’ at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, where he wore a summery Ralph Lauren suit contrasted with a baby blue button-down shirt and dark navy tie.

Michael B Jordan: At the 2015 BET Awards on Sunday (June 28), Michael was handsome in a tonal gray-green Sandro suit—with the hue even extending to his dress shoes. Although it was monochromatic, the look had a rich depth, especially when finished with a cobalt tie.

Jason Clarke: While I appreciated his willingness to step outside the traditional sartorial box at the ‘Terminator Genisys’ premiere on Saturday (June 28) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, his ecru Michael Bastian double-breasted sport coat wasn’t exactly flattering. The ill-fitted effect continued with the unbuttoned dress shirt, with Christian Louboutin ‘Greggo’ shoes completing the ensemble.

Before we close the week, here is a final look at the menswear options we have been blessed with courtesy of these fine gentlemen.

Michiel Huisman: ‘The Age of Adaline’ actor promoted his new movie on ‘Good Morning America’ the day after his co-star Blake Lively. Creating a splash in a much more muted manner, he donned a blue Salvatore Ferragamo look, which was utterly timeless and steeped in a suavity guaranteed to make me swoon. The look was complete with Lucchese Fico tan boots.

Michael B Jordan: The actor was looking as sharp as ever, going the extra mile by spicing up his look with a graphic print Public School blazer, while attending the 2015 CinemaCon ‘Pioneer of the Year’ dinner alongside Kate Mara. If this print is giving you a case of déjà vu, that’s because Hilary Duff owns a coat by the same designer with the same print.

Armie Hammer: Also going down the sleek Salvatore Ferragamo route for the CinemaCon 2015, the actor had an immaculately tailored moment working shades of grey with a hint of blue and brown for good measure. Shame about the beard though.

The 2015 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles, California and the 2015 Olivier Awards in London, England, both hosted Sunday night (April 12), brought out an eclectic mash-up of style statements from the leading guys. Here, a roundup of their looks.

Michael B. Jordan
: One of the more memorable menswear ensembles at the MTV Movie Awards, the actor was mad for plaid. Some might call the actor’s Vivienne Westwood MAN Fall 2015 suit crazy, but I call it downright cool. He topped off the look with Givenchy shoes and a Montblanc watch.

Chiwetel Ejiofor: Looking regal and refined in a dunhill tuxedo, the actor struck a traditionally classic style note at the Olivier Awards.

Zac Efron: The MTV Movie Awards’ Best Shirtless Scene winner covered up in a sporty, quilted Lanvin jacket, which no doubt had many wishing that he’d skipped the white T-shirt underneath.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear 15 August

Gents have been scrubbing up nicely on the red carpet this week. Here is a quick roundup.

James Marsden: The actor was back and looking sharper than ever, attending the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet wearing a Z Zegna grey two-button notched-lapel suit styled with tan Givenchy laceups. I’m missing a tie thanks to the charming navy print pocket square.

Channing Tatum: The actor also opted for some shades of grey, donning a Gucci windowpane two-button notched-lapel suit styled with a white dress shirt and steel-grey tie, with black laceups rounding out his dapper look.

Robert Pattinson: Having disappointed many of you with his last look, it appears Rob made a conscious effort on this occasion, looking very handsome, in his usual slightly dishevelled way, donning a classic black Gucci suit. I love the shimmering black tie and the maroon laceups for two out-of-the-box touches.
