Mia Wasikowska In Alexander McQueen – ‘Crimson Peak’ New York Premiere

Mia Wasikowska In Alexander McQueen - 'Crimson Peak' New York Premiere

Mia Wasikowska attended the ‘Crimson Peak’ New York premiere held at AMC Loews Lincoln Square on Wednesday (October 14) in New York City.

The actress wore yet another look from the Alexander McQueen Resort 2016 collection, this time selecting a bi-colour knit gown which sat just off-the-shoulder.

As always she presents herself really well – one can’t say she didn’t make an effort – but the issue (as per) is that the look doesn’t make any kind of impact.

I’m not asking that she don an Elie Saab or Zuhair Murad sparkling gown, but it would be nice to see her do something that will leaves a lasting impression.

Mia Wasikowska In Alexander McQueen - Bergdorf Goodman 'Crimson Peak' Inspired Window Unveiling

Mia Wasikowska attended the Bergdorf Goodman ‘Crimson Peak’ inspired window unveiling on Tuesday (October 13) in New York City.

The actress wore an Alexander McQueen Resort 2016 tweed fabricated dress lifted with box pleats to create a sweet, flared silhouette.

Styled with black Brian Atwood pumps, this is a sophisticated, yet forgettable look for the Australian actress.

With a big promo tour on the way, I will not be holding my breath for a wow moment from Mia.

Mia Wasikowska In Altuzarra & Alexander McQueen – ‘Crimson Peak’ Rome Photocall & Paris Premiere

Mia Wasikowska In Altuzarra & Alexander McQueen - 'Crimson Peak' Rome Photocall & Paris Premiere

Mia Wasikowska attended the ‘Crimson Peak’ photocall at Le Jardin de Russie on Monday (September 28) in Rome, Italy followed that same day by the premiere at UGC Cine Cite Bercy in Paris, France.

Rome Photocall: She started the day in an Altuzarra Resort 2016 sweater and skirt that would have benefited from a more interesting pair of red sandals as a starting point. As presented, it echoed a rather dull sentiment that is too often consistent with her style.

Paris Premiere
: While this Alexander McQueen Fall 2015 black dress was moderately more dramatic, the extremely minimal—nonexistent—styling and repetitive black pumps left me with an impression that something was missing.

Mia Wasikowska In Proenza Schouler – D23 Expo

Mia Wasikowska In Proenza Schouler - D23 Expo

Mia Wasikowska attended the D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center on Saturday (August 15) in Anaheim, California.

Taking a more sombre route, she wore a Proenza Schouler Resort 2015 mock peplum dress in an abstract print.

Perhaps my affection for this ensemble would have grown had she worn a bright coral pair of sandals rather than black pumps that simply faded into the background.

As presented, especially give her au naturel beauty look, the feeling that something is missing is rather strong.

Mia Wasikowska In Josh Goot – 4th AACTA Awards Ceremony

Mia Wasikowska In Josh Goot - 4th AACTA Awards Ceremony

Mia Wasikowska also attended the 4th AACTA Awards held at The Star on Thursday (January 29) in Sydney, Australia.

Like Rose Byrne, she proudly wore Australian, selecting a graphic floral-print dress from Josh Goot.

The designer is known for his flattering silhouettes and unique accents, and this summery (it’s currently summer in Australia) Pre-Fall 2015 dress features a feminine body-con shape, front zipper, black bandeau and cut-outs at the side.

For someone whose style often plays it safe (or drab), this is remarkably refreshing.

Do you agree?

Mia Wasikowska In Chanel Couture – ‘Madame Bovary’ London Film Festival Screening

Mia Wasikowska In Chanel Couture - 'Madame Bovary' London Film Festival Screening

Mia Wasikowska joined Laura Carmichael on the red carpet for the screening of ‘Madame Bovary’ during the 58th BFI London Film Festival held at Odeon West End on Saturday (October 11) in London, England.

Usually I reserve my rights to judge any Chanel runway look until I see it on the red carpet, as the red carpet look is usually much more preferable; sadly, that is not the case on this occasion.

Mia breathes no life into this metallic-silver Chanel Spring 2014 Couture futuristic-style dress which creates the illusion of a tiny waist.

I don’t even feel the black pumps are to blame here; perhaps it’s the hair and makeup bringing down the look, or that she simply lacks presence.

Does this look work for you?

Mia Wasikowska In Louis Vuitton – ‘Maps To The Stars’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Mia Wasikowska In Louis Vuitton - ‘Maps To The Stars’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Mia Wasikowska attended the ‘Maps To The Stars’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 19) in Cannes, France.

In keeping with her signature no-fuss style, the Australian actress wore a deep navy blue Louis Vuitton custom gown cinched in at the waist with a leather waistband.

This v-neck, short-sleeved gown featured the same trims, but in black leather, that we saw on Adele Exarchopoulos’ Louis Vuitton gown for the opening ceremony.

Between the wind and the rain Mia wisely swept her hair into a purposely messy updo, with neutral makeup completing her look.
