Nicole Kidman In Oscar de la Renta – ‘The Upside’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

After a couple brushes with her frou-frou, princess side, Nicole Kidman was back to more streamlined, feminine glamour at the premiere of ‘The Upside’ during the 2017 Toronto Film Festival on Friday (September 8).

The actress donned an Oscar de la Renta dress, notable for the elegant allure of its ruffle neckline and fit-and-flare silhouette.

The actress accessorised with the classic girl’s best friend, diamonds, to complete her little black dress along with Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ sandals.

Jessica Chastain In Prada – ‘Molly’s Game’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Having not seen Jessica Chastain since Cannes, she did not disappoint upon her dazzling return at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival where she attended the premiere of ‘Molly’s Game’ on Friday (September 8).

In a glorious example of a Prada keyhole gown worn so well on the red carpet, the actress was captivating in this design—the colours alone radiating with her flame locks.

I particularly love the mist of turquoise embellishment, as it added a lovely mystique to the gown.

No jewels were necessary here, as the gown was more than enough to captivate. She wrapped up the glamorous look with the playful, flirty appeal of a ponytail.

Margot Robbie In Apiece Apart, Ji Oh & Erdem – IMDb Studio & ‘I, Tonya’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Margot Robbie has also been at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival, where she stopped by the IMDb Studio on Friday (September 8), later attending the ‘I, Tonya’ premiere that day.

IMDb Studio: Transitioning into fall, Margot cut a sophisticated profile with her ribbed Apiece Apart sweater and high-waist Ji Oh skirt. Sometimes oversized, mismatched buttons can come across as comical, but here they brought just the right measure of quirky, stylish appeal. Jimmy Choo shoes rounded out the look.

‘I, Tonya’ Premiere: In a complete 180-turn, the actress delved into a far more romantic spirit with this flowy Erdem ‘Cassandra’ floral-embroidered gown from the Resort 2018 collection. With this look, she proved just how beguiling the colour blue is for her—while keeping summer’s whimsy alive.

Lady Gaga In Lanotta Studio – Gaga: Five Foot Two’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

After the press conference for ‘Gaga: Five Foot Two’, Lady Gaga was back on the red carpet for the movie’s premiere at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival on Friday (September 8).

I can only imagine she had a pair of platform stilts on under her patent bell bottoms. But I, for one, couldn’t have been happier not to visibly see them in this Lanotta Studio ensemble.

I wasn’t prepared to like this ripped and tattered patchwork coat and the shiny, bin liner pants. But, the colour palette alone of the coat had a certain subtle, pastel beauty that struck a lovely chord.

As per, this was a sartorial performance piece from Mother Monster, and she worked it to her advantage.

Her beauty look fit right in, too, with her metallic eye makeup beautifully reflecting the glint of the jacket.

Lady Gaga In Elie Saab – ‘Lady Gaga: Five Foot Two’ Press Conference

The ‘Lady Gaga: Five Foot Two’ press conference took place during 2017 Toronto Film Festival earlier today (September 8), with the lady of the hour in attendance.

Taking its cues from military regalia, I feel like this Elie Saab Fall 2017 look nods to the female empowerment movement and sees her stand tall as the general of her little monsters.

As this is a documentary about her life, I’m not surprised those platform shoes made a comeback as they were part of her red carpet – and street style – repertoire for so long.

I can’t say I’m fan of the hair however.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

No better way to round out the week than with a group of handsome guys on the red carpet. Here’s who was out and about yesterday (September 7).

Armie Hammer: At the ‘Call Me By Your Name’ premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, Armie echoed his own baby blues with shades of navy in this Ralph Lauren ensemble, where the suede, double-breasted jacket was the star piece. I’m sure the look had a lot more dimension in person.

Shia LaBeouf: Also at the Toronto Film Festival, Shia attended the ‘Borg/McEnroe’ premiere, where he emboldened his dark Prada suit with a colourful paisley dress shirt. We’ve seen nearly the identical look on Dane DeHaan.

Timothée Chalamet: Joining Armie at the ‘Call Me By Your Name’ premiere, Timothée had another shade of blue in mind with this cerulean suit from the Calvin Klein 205W39NYC Fall 2017 collection. The fit could have been better, especially through the trousers, so as to quell any sort of retro prom references.
