Jena Malone In Emilio Pucci - 'Time Out of Mind' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Jena Malone attended the premiere of the film ‘Time Out of Mind’ on September 7 at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.

The actress wore a black lace short-sleeved gown featuring allover geometric gunmetal stud embellishments from the Emilio Pucci Resort 2015 Collection.

With the lacy, studded number, Jena wore edgy gold bangles, a gold clutch and Kurt Geiger ‘Belgravia’ pumps.

I’m also completely obsessed with Jena’s rocker-chic beauty look, here. The messy, angular bob, the defined lashes and the matte red lips–she’s cool and edgy, and I love it.

Aubrey Plaza In Marni – ‘Ned Rifle’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Aubrey Plaza In Marni - 'Ned Rifle' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Aubrey Plaza attended the premiere of the film ‘Ned Rifle’ at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival on September 7 in Toronto, Canada.

The actress wore a raspberry neoprene peplum dress with a plunging neckline from the Marni Evening Collection, paired with Suzanne Kalan jewels, Brian Atwood ankle-strap pumps and a Kotur clutch.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all when it comes to the peplum trend, Aubrey and this Marni dress take it in a totally new direction with this asymmetrical placement, and the effect offers a really interesting visual.

Radiant skin, glossy pink lips and a high bun are the simple makeup finishings to this intriguing fashion moment.

So tell me–are you liking Aubrey’s mismatched peplum look?

Noomi Rapace attended the photocall of the film ‘The Drop’ and the HFPA & InStyle’s 2014 TIFF Celebration on September 6 at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.

Photocall: For the photocall of her film, Noomi wore a long-sleeved, black Antonio Berardi dress with a flared skirt from the designer’s Fall 2014 collection. Black platforms, lots of delicate gold rings and a few pink streaks in her long, blonde hair finished the look.

Party: A Vionnet pink wool tuxedo with pony hair collar worn with a sheer lace top is definitely an eye-catcher on the red carpet, and despite the fact that Noomie’s hair streak matches the suit perfectly, she opted to pull it back into a low, braided bun. You may recall that we’ve previously seen this suit on Lorde.

Eddie Redmayne attended the HFPA & InStyle’s 2014 TIFF Celebration on September 6 and the premiere of the film ‘The Theory of Everything’ on September 7 at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.

Party: An Alexander McQueen black and cream Prince of Wales check suit worn with a navy tie is a handsome, classic look, and the addition of the grey suede tassel slippers offers the perfect dash of fashion-forward whimsy.

Premiere: A teal, double-breasted Burberry Prorsum Spring 2014 suit with a navy tie and pocket square is a sharp color combination, and classic patent shoes complete the modern look. I love how much fun Eddie has with fashion–he knows fashion isn’t only a woman’s game.

Salma Hayek attended the premiere of the film ‘Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet’, as well as the HFPA & InStyle’s TIFF Celebration on September 6 at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.

Premiere: For the film premiere, the star wore a black, sleeveless Christopher Kane python-embossed dress from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection. I love that she belted the dress–not a styling decision everyone would have made, but the belt adds the perfect finish to the fun dress. A bright pink clutch and gold tipped black pumps complete the look.

Party: For her second look of the day, Salma opted for a sleeveless, black Saint Laurent shift dress with studded detailing. With it, she wore a black shoulder bag and black pumps. Grey smokey eyes, glowing skin and an elaborate twisted updo completed the evening look.

Chloe Grace Moretz In Christian Dior Couture - 'The Equalizer' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Chloe Grace Moretz attended the premiere of her film ‘The Equalizer’ at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival on September 7 in Toronto, Canada.

The fashion-loving actress wore an embroidered off white and dark blue silk dress with an asymmetrical detailing from the Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture collection.

With it, she wore silver metallic ankle-strap heels and not a single piece of jewelry.

Beauty-wise, the actress opted for a grey mani and pedi to complement her gray eyeshadow, dewy skin, soft pink lips and a casual twisted chignon.

This is a total win for me. I love that she kept things so simple, yet still manages to look gorgeous.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

A group of guys grabbed some stares recently with their sartorial statements at a variety of events. Here, a look at the handsome offerings over the past few days—I couldn’t be more elated to not see a basic black suit in sight.

Channing Tatum: Looking hot and polished, the actor was at the HFPA & InStyle’s 2014 TIFF celebration during the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival at the Windsor Arms Hotel. He definitely made that dark, midnight-blue three-piece suit look good.

Josh Lucas: Cutting a sharp profile at the ‘Boychoir’ premiere during the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival at Roy Thomson Hall, Josh suited up in a Salvatore Ferragamo dark navy, two-button peak lapel suit, paired with a white button-down shirt, a navy patterned pocket square and brown calf shoes. Here, his decision to go tie-less worked in his favour—as did this stunning blue hue.

Reese Witherspoon In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘The Good Lie’ Toronto Film Premiere

Reese Witherspoon In Dolce & Gabbana - 'The Good Lie' Toronto Film Premiere
Reese Witherspoon returned to the red carpet for the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, attending the premiere of ‘The Good Lie’ on Sunday (September 7) at The Elgin in Toronto, Canada.

Reminding us that fall is but right around the corner, the adorable actress was lovely in a transitional look from Dolce & Gabbana.

The dark-plum dress struck a dramatic chord with its embossed textural fabric and short bell sleeves, accented by vintage-inspired, statement buttons. So, I’m glad the short A-line silhouette lightened the effect, as did her leg-lengthening golden-nude sandals.

She finished the ensemble with a sweet, girl-next-door blonde blowout, upping the sultry factor with a smoky, kohl-rimmed eye and nude lip.

Jessica Chastain In Christian Dior – ‘Miss Julie’ Toronto Film Premiere

Jessica Chastain In Christian Dior - 'Miss Julie' Toronto Film Premiere
Hopping from France to Canada, Jessica Chastain was back on the red carpet, this time at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival for the ‘Miss Julie’ premiere at Toronto’s Winter Garden Theatre on Sunday (September 7).

The actress selected a Christian Dior black-and-white frock for the occasion, worn with black Casadei stilettos and a messy-chic ponytail.

I love the classically sophisticated silhouette of the dress, spliced through with diagonal graphic panels for a touch of edge. Plus, the full twirl skirt is nothing but pure fun.
