Matthew McConaughey In Versace - 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'

Matthew McConaughey joined Gisele Bündchen on Monday (January 6) evening for a guest appearance on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’.

The Oscar favourite – for his portrayal of real-life AIDS patient Ron Woodroof in ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ – was on the show to promote his television debut on HBO opposite Woody Harrelson in ‘True Detective’, which airs this month.

Looking very dapper, the well-dressed actor wore a Versace navy-blue two-button peak-lapel suit with a black shirt styled with Tod’s monk-strap shoes.

The colour is captivating and the cut is impeccable. He is swiftly becoming one of my favourites.

Who Wore Vivienne Westwood MAN Better Matthew McConaughey or Adam Lambert

On one of the first times Matthew McConaughey stepped out of his Dolce & Gabbana comfort zone, the actor attended a screening of his movie ‘Mud’ wearing a checked Vivienne Westwood Man suit back in April.

Styling the look almost exactly as it was worn on the runway, with the logo-engraved-button-accented chain closure, he completed his look with a white unbuttoned shirt and black shoes.

Adam Lambert wore the same suit to ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino late last year, opting to make the look his own deciding not to wear the blazer.

Even as someone who tends to favour three-piece suits, there is no denying that Adam’s look is much better. I almost feel like Matthew’s look has too much going on in comparison.

Matthew McConaughey In Saint Laurent and Camila Alves In Mikael D - 2014 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves made quite the dashing couple as they arrived at the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala held at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Sunday (January 4) in Palm Springs, California.

Matthew McConaughey : The actor, who lost a lot of weight for his role in ‘Dallas Buyers Club,’ looked suave in a Saint Laurent metallic gold blazer with black satin lapels styled with a white shirt, black trousers and a bow tie, which is yet another side-step from the usual Dolce classics he tends to favour. While he optimizes Dolce & Gabbana like no other, I am loving this experimental phase with other designers. Are you?

Camilla Alves: Forever the stunning plus one, the TV presenter opted for a sassy Mikael D black sleeveless gown, from the designer’s Spring 2014 collection, with sexy sheer lace panels playing second fiddle to that thigh-high slit. Casadei t-bar ‘Blade’ heels, a satin clutch and voluminous curls completed her look.

'The Wolf of Wall Street' New York Premiere Menswear Roundup

Here is a roundup of the guys attending the New York premiere of ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ on Tuesday evening (December 17) held at the Ziegfeld Theatre.

Matthew McConaughey: The actor joined his partner Camila Alves on the red carpet. While she kept to the Dolce & Gabbana script, he broke with tradition and wore a grey wool two-button suit from Brunello Cucinelli. I would’ve favoured this wide-peak-lapel suit had it not been for the satin trims.

Leonardo DiCaprio: The actor never steers far from black or navy classic suits. On this occasion he wore a Prada navy kid mohair three button suit, white stretch popeline shirt, and fumo grey satin tie. Would you like to see him mix things up like Matthew often does?

Jonah Hill: Opting for a navy one-button suit, the maroon-printed tie injects a bit of personality into Jonah’s look.

Menswear round up

From London to Los Angeles, here’s a look at the men who made an impression over the weekend.

Dan Stevens: The British actor stepped out at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards on Sunday night, wearing a dashing black Burberry tux and bow tie. It doesn’t get much more dashing than that.

Andrew Garfield: The actor attended the ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′ photocall at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver Studios on Saturday alongside Emma Stone. Like his lovely costar, he also showed Band of Outsiders some love, wearing one of the label’s khaki-coloured jackets. He paired his casual outerwear choice with a blue-and-red plaid shirt, dark denim, and black loafers.

Brad Pitt: The actor wore a black tux and matching bow tie by Saint Laurent, joining his wife-to-be Angelina Jolie and their son Maddox on the red carpet at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards on Saturday evening.

GQ Men Of The Year PartyIt’s no surprise that Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o weren’t the only ones cutting handsome—and pretty—profiles at the GQ 2013 ‘Men of the Year’ party, hosted last night in Los Angeles, California. There was plenty more eye candy to spare.

James Van Der Beek: The actor brought out his own baby blues in a Todd Snyder ensemble, ratcheting up his grey plaid suit with a blue shirt, lighter tie and mixed-print pocket square. The grand finale of the look, though, were those blue shoelaces on his brown loafers.

Darby Stanchfield: Decked out in a burgundy-red Emilio De La Morena Fall 2012 gown, the ‘Scandal’ star mixed sophistication and edginess with this streamlined, lacquered-bodice dress, which actually set off her slicked-back, flame-toned locks. You may remember Julianne Hough previously wore this gown.

Chace Crawford: The actor opted for a light dove-grey, wool two-button small notch lapel suit by Dior Homme, which he wore with a white cotton, button-down shirt, black silk tie and black leather derbies. Something about the suit wasn’t as sizzling as his stare.
